I love when flea market sellers offer boxes filled with unknown treasures! Let's get digging! #fleamarket #flipping #nostalgia Follow me on Instagram @paperandmoose
I love nothing more than watching you dig in those boxes, through all those little treasures. Had it be me, I'd have gotten so much more, I'd be penniless in no time, allthough I don't know where I'd put them afterwards, no room left here. 😄
You can´t go wrong picking up a neat Teddy Ruxpin item, that´s for sure. Childhood memories...😃 Some very nice finds, a little bit of everything. It´s getting warmer over here after a comparitively cold spring, around 75 degrees Fahrenheit during the forthcoming days. Have a fantastic rest of this weekend with tons of surprising flea market finds, Renée ! 🤞 Greets from GER, U.
Hot yesterday, a bit cooler today, with temps being in the 70s for the next week. Flea market tomorrow... let's hope that the Tote Man shows up! I've been sorting older flea market purchases today, editing some future videos, and am off to a family event later. Glad for the cooler temps, I like to hold off as long as possible putting the air conditioner in! Hope that you have a great Saturday over there in Germany!
O my goodness, the yellow patch, with the slash, then the horse, is a 1st Calvary Division, Army dress uniform patch! My old military unit @ Fort Hood, Texas, back in the day.! What a fun day! 🖤/💛. Thanks for sharing and a good memory! 🌿
Kool Aid was such a big thing growing up. Impossible to save enough of those little squares on the back of the packets to get anything really neat, but always had to try!
Oh how I love your flea markets 😊. I could spend all day digging for all kinds of treasures and spending all of my money. It would be awesome 👌😁 thank you Renee for taking us along with you
You found some really cool stuff. The bunny was really cool. I'm hoping I can get to some flea markets or yard sales this summer. Haven't been to one in ages. I went clothes shopping and got a shirt for 99c. That's my find for the day
What a treat! Came in from washing windows and doing yard work. Sat down to lunch and ANOTHER VIDEO from my favorite RU-vidr!! So glad you found some stuff.
Always look twice for collectible military patches. They sell fast at flea markets. The yellow/black one was First Air Cavalry, famous for Vietnam 1965-72. Many vets and/or family members treasure them.
Hey Re nee. One. Hope Taco Stack's is doing well after the worst hot weather 🌡️ we had yesterday. It is cooler today and a great day for a Flea Market. I live all the treasure's you have from the Flea Market. Hope to see more stuu in the future. God has Blessed you with so many good and wonderful days Renee. God Bless you again and please take care. Mari'a. 👍👍👍👍🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🤔🤔🤔💙💙💙💙💙💙
That was a real eclectic mix of vintage oddments and bric a brac. Fascinating and fun!I'm glad you grabbed that bag of Pokemon cards as well. Might be a rarity in there somewhere. And one of those Wendy’s cups you should give to Tony - it had a picture of him on it!
I collect the Teenie Weenie books. Some are quite rare and go for a lot of money. I would have snatched that in a hurry. I have a whole story around the Teenie Weenies at my house for my grandchildren. The Teenie Weenies put little treasures in little mailboxes for the grandkids and it’s been a lot of fun over the years. They have finally figured out it’s me that puts the things in their mailboxes but when they were little they totally believed in these tiny magical people. They still play along with me because who doesn’t like to get little gifts? ((Even the teens enjoy it).
Too bad Jackie was not in the box with Jack! That "Smoky the Bear" Hat would look neat on one of my large ceramic fr-gs! All the stuff, again, amazing!! My favorite drink as a young guy was red Hawaiian Punch. "Punchy" was the mascot. My local flea market??? Out here they have been called flee markets...all gone!
I think all of those drinks, like Hawaiian Punch & Kool-Aid, tasted better way back when. Of course, being a young kid and drinking what was pretty much just sugar water, of course it tasted great!
Went to a Mega rummage sale for the local humane society, all items were donations, took 2 hours to stroll through, reasonable prices and so many treasures, people were filling wagons full, luckily I didn't have a wagon but a large shopping bag and it quickly filled up, tomorrow is fill a bag for a dollar, may just go back to see what I missed
The directional pointy finger on the shelf edge price card is called a ‘manicule’, though when I was an apprentice typesetter I was told to call them ‘printer’s fists’. 👉🏻
I wish I'd been there. So many interesting - to my eye- vintage items. What about those aristocratic-looking women's boots? Thought they looked interesting....
Hello Renee. I don’t see how you control yourself and not buy like crazy . I have no self control some days 😅. But you got great taste in what you get. It’s been so hot hear all week I think I got a little too much heat yesterday I’m not feeling too well today. So no treasure hunting for me today. But it’s fun watching you find great things. Take care. Enjoy your weekend. 🕵🏼♀️🕵🏼♀️🕵🏼♀️🕵🏼♀️🕵🏼♀️🕵🏼♀️🕵🏼♀️🫖☕️🫖☕️🫖☕️🥰🥰🥰💯💯💯💯💯
Sometimes when I get home, I either question why I didn't buy more or I ask myself why I bought certain things haha. Hope that you are feeling better today!
Look like you did ok , I liked the price tags, probably for produce I had big hopes for my flea market today for some reason In reality didn’t get anything real special just some what I call “ bread and butter” stuff I buy lots of things off this Mexican guy and took up a bag of tools I got when I had to buy a shelf lot at auction to give to him. Might have gave away more then I bought! 😃
I’m sure that he appreciated the tools! He’ll probably remember that & return the kindness to you at some point in the future. Today was an off day, forgot there was a local small auction, didn’t get to the flea market, so am hoping tomorrow’s flea market makes up for it!
Is that all the more space you get in the van? The footwell by your seat? 😀(I know that's not true, though maybe you are on weight restriction after bagging a heavier deer than most hunters in season). Glad you found the Teddy Rukspin - know those have a lot of happy associations for you. Merlin was the first electronic game I ever had. I used to play it all day (tic-tac-toe and follow the pattern). I even tried to play it under the covers when I was supposed to be sleeping but the darned thing was so loud that I got caught every time. I envy your patience - I don't have the patience to dig through those kind of boxes unless they are old photos. I guess that's why I do trunks - easy to spot. Looked like another beautiful NJ day (or PA). We finally have a nice Saturday. I went to our FM for the first time in a few months. Found a few things. And a use for clear glass! People make yard-ornament flowers out of them. Concentric pieces - but you need one colored one to give it some pop. Might try it if I can figure out how to drill through the glass. Hope you have a great Saturday & Weekend, and thanks as always for the video!
When you figure out how to drill through the glass, share that secret! I've seen similar yard decor, as well as "teacup" flowers - made with a saucer and cup. But again, how does it get put together without any breakages? In my flea market travels, I find that usually - there are exceptions - sellers that have photos placed out individually or only a few in a box are higher priced. Finding photos/ephemera at the bottom of a box usually come with a lower cost. Now there have been instances where I've spent a good amount of time finding really interesting items at the bottom of boxes and when I bring the items up for pricing, I hear "Oh wow, I didn't know that was in a box. That should have been put out on the table, that's not going to sell for cheap." or "You found that in that box? Sorry, I have to do more research on that. Can't sell it, I have to figure out a price because it looks pretty rare." Maybe that's their schtick: they purchase storage units, house contents, and then let potential buyers do all the digging and finding of the "good" stuff for them! It's a lazy Saturday here, plans changed a bit and I'm catching up on my own sorting of treasures.
@@PaperandMoose Ha ha I know the, "I didn't know that was in there!" line. I try to ask how much the photos are first but only ever get, "different prices." I have sorted boxes and totes full of photos for vendors a couple of times. But I really wrote to tell you that before your video a few days ago about those mushroom canisters, I had never seen nor heard of them. My daughter just got a job in Atlanta and will be moving in a few weeks. So we went to an estate sale this afternoon that had a lot of household stuff, including ... the Mushroom set with a couple of smaller canister and a napkin holder. $30! I got it for her for a prize for getting the job. I'm not sure it was Sears (it had initials on the bottom) but it looked just the same. If I hadn't seen that video I would have had no idea about what they were, Thanks!
@@PaperandMooseto drill glass you need a Diamond point drill bit and use some water to keep it cool while drilling which will keep breakage to a minimum
Watch your channel. And I have been live it with your flea market's. 😊 and doing your clean outs in people's homes. Haven't seen a lot of your curb side black bags video have you stopped doing them.
She has said finding those bags have been a rare occurrence now. She said there are so few she may just eventually put little short ones together into one video.
Renee, my son has two Ruston hobo dolls. I cleaned them both up, washed and ironed the clothes, and mended the dolls. They are smioking cigars. Really ugly dolls! He will Ebay them.
Boxes and boxes of stuff that would be enjoyed by the right person but I imagine the time needed to find that right person could take decades. If the sellers make more than snack & gas money at the end of the day I’d be surprised. I’d be curious to know if anyone reading this has first hand knowledge.
For myself, I enjoy digging in boxes much more than shopping from a table that has everything presented individually and/or pristinely laid out. If there are boxes of stuff on a table, I'll dig through those. I think it's the idea of "finding" something that's unknown, finding that "treasure" in the bottom of a box. Some sellers have already gone through everything in the boxes and just prefer to set up their stand via the box method. Other sellers can have a little inkling of what's in the box, but their MO is to make money and come home with no inventory, so they would rather turn the boxes of stuff into cash quickly versus spend time looking at each item in the box.
Loved it. You are such a good digger, and we get to dig with you! I was thrilled you found a one Teddy Rukspin. I don't know if I spelled that correctly or not. I m love you❤️😘💞💞💞💞🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏✌️👶
