Chris Fry they aren’t common in the hobby anymore but have become flavour of the month again commanding a higher price. I’ve seen them go for $600 each.
Hey Luke big fan I think I have watched these vids a half dozen times or more... My lil lady laid 5 eggs, got em in the incubator at 86.5F... hope to have a few lil Pygmy Mulgas running around in a few months, SUPER excited... Any tips to increase my odds at hatching these eggs? Keep up the great content👍👍👍
Congrats! Towards the end of incubation make sure to open the tub a couple times a week to freshen air. Sometimes the air gets stale and lacks oxygen for the eggs to take on.
Awesome you gotta be stoked I can’t wait till my monitors lay eggs they’ve been getting busy last few days and that would be a dream come true for sure and to watch them hatch out I’d probably cry with happiness
@@BeachesScalyBeasts I’ll keep my fingers crossed 🤞 for you until they hatch out because I can’t hold my breath that long lol but best of luck from my way
@@BeachesScalyBeasts awesome I’m gonna check now. I’m having hard time getting advice from other breeders so I truly appreciate it and I know it’s not easy responding to everyone and on top of regular life as well so thank you .
@@BeachesScalyBeasts sounds good man I just got a proven pair today but the enclosure I got them in has really deep substrate so it would be almost impossible to find eggs in. I think I’m going to change it to crushed brimstone, sand, and coir peat if I can find it and then use the same substrate you use for the nest box
@@BeachesScalyBeasts was it coco peat, crushed granite and sand correct? Is the coco peat the stuff that comes in the compressed bricks? I know we are in different countries but I’m sure I can find something similar thanks man for the help
