Really nice one, Mervamon seems like it would work well when mixed with colors that have rush. Also seems like it would run well with more Option-Cards. With that said, excellent showcase from both decks ! ~From Nashville, Tennessee USA
The explanations and narration are so clear despite moving lightning fast, the edits make the moves easy to understand. Tha m you so much for this content
The match went about as expected. Minervamon really struggles to end turns with good boards early to mid game, and it’s more about quantity than quality. That kind of preference isn’t rewarding in today’s meta. Lots of weaker bodies are never a problem (Unless it’s Jesmon, since the Sistermons benefit and protect the big stack). Single, oppressive stacks are what you need to worry about. Both decks are hit very hard by DeathXmon, which is very funny. The second the turn was passed with AeroVeedramon in raising, it was over. Great video!
I mean, it wasn’t necessary “over” once that turn passed. In fact, the only reason Ulforce won was because of Lobomon. If CardProtag didn’t have Lobo, idk what he would have played, but Merva would have won next turn
@@SylviaMoonbeam1127 Good point. Lobomon was the game finisher. I do think that Blue has the tools to delay another turn, so I figure CardProtag would have won either way.
@@SylviaMoonbeam1127 I mean it's super standard to run a handful of hybrids in tamer heavy decks even if they're not Tamer centric, hybrid for game is pretty common and powerful to have as a tool.
That was an amazing back and forth match I got nervous for my boy Ulforce when Merva got the loop going. What a comeback and fantastic games, thank you guys for such amazing videos!
I get the same feeling playing Minervamon as I did playing Lilith Loop. When it happens it's unstoppable but most of the time you're always just a couple cards short or your attack feels lackluster for all the effort you put into working through the combo.
Always enjoy the videos protagonist thanks for making them. I'd love to know where you got the sleeves in this video, I'm such a nostalgia nerd for the original TCG since it was a big part of my childhood
This was an incredibly satisfying match to watch especially with ulforceveedramon being the very first deck i ever played with. Great action on both sides and a real solid endgame too. Great work as always Cardprotaganist and Paddy!
This end would be funnier if Rina was the one that Spirit Digivolved. With the way her personality is in the games she appears i can imagine she saying something like "Veevee what are you doing? Guess i will have to do this myself!"
@@SophiaLilithUwU the kick to Barbamon as said is her case There is another that is more frequent and more well known Look up Digimon Savers/Data squad You will see what I mean
Wow, I'm really waiting for you to post for this both deck. Thank you so much ! Very Awesome. Tbh, the Old Digimon Card Game Sleeves looks very cool too. Appreciate.
Nice duel! Was really enjoyable to watch and nice of you to explain every effect that is happening. Also, where can I get the for e.g. the +1000 attack power slots that you use @5:56
Haha, you baited me there while i was waiting for the Ulfoce X, but instead you showed of your altr. Hybrid. Great Video and Game anzway! Keep going producing more hot Digimon content
@@CardProtagonist You guys rock! And i mean it, your videos where the first that made a impression on us Digimon Fans (from Europe and other states) of what we could expect from the Cardgame. I personely was very touched by the Duells between two mighty Opponents that battled with, not technicly the strongest possibel but the most thematicly capabel Decks. Your theathrical devotion and commitment let me (as a Fan of both Digimon and Cardgames) feel like watching the Yu-Gi-Oh Anime where the literal Cardgame was 100% serious and breathe taking. Especialy seeing my Favorite Archetypes (like Craniamon) reciving a whole Deck and Video from you guys, inspired me to start and enjoy the TCG. In the name of the Western, European... -Digimon Fans: Thank You!
Hot dang that back and forth. The whole Cerberusmon loop is just silly. And then the last two turns... all those Soulmons with Mervamon... butt the bounce... and Ulforce being able to unsuspend repeatedly is just ridiculous!
UlforceVeedramon was the first Digimon deck I started and glad there support for it in bt11 Also liking the Digimon card battle sleeves, by any chance you know where I can get a hold of some…I’m that old school
God damn I can't wait for BT11 to come to the states. I am gonna go ham and make sure I update my Ulforce deck. So satisfying to see a total of 7 tamers. Unfortunate that VeeVee didn't get the ending blow, but the hybrid for game is always fun.
@@CardProtagonist now you showcased a very very sneaky way to get an extra attack in when timed right Since even tamer cards are subjected to the summon sickness rules to if i recall So if they spirit evolve, they dont get summon sickness since they have already been set on the board in previous turns
Damn Paddy and CProtagonist, you both gotta calm down with the effects and inheritables🤣. But that was an amazing fight, the Ceberusmon spamming, Minerva and Merva buffing the field, Rina's effects and Ulforce's unssuspend really made this game a big brain play one. Though, I did not expect that last spirit digivolution. Well done you two
Is there any simple way to get a decklist? Im still new to the game and not quite sure what im looking at with the overall deck images. Are every card in the decks played at least once in the video?
Can you not activate Rina when you become suspended play a tamer then unsuspend Ulforce? So you can evade the retaliate? Just need a blue tamer in hand?
Huh, I oddly expected JetMervamon to be showcased. That is on me. Anyway, awesome synergy there with Cerberumon. Minervamon is pretty _"godly"_ card. Could use Lucemon with ease.
I think minervamon missed lethal, because it's effect all turns, all digimon with retaliation gain rush, so hard playing retaliation demidevimon will gain rush then it will attack he will block with ulforceveedramon then you finish the game with menervamon
While this was a great showing for Ulforce, I know I would brick too often with that many tamers. I know it is what the deck does. I know the numbers are statistically on your side. But I also know the card game gods despise me when I disrupte the balance of the lists too much.
It depends on how it is worded. Anything with a "may" or requires you to make a choice from a non-public zone (usually your hand) means you can choose whether or not you perform the action. Otherwise you perform all legal actions as much as you can.
1 mistake from paddy. he could finish the game by calling demidevimon. since its cost 3 and he have 3 memory left. and demidevimon gain rush because its has retaliation. attacking the security will force the ulforce to block the attack and the finish the game with mervamon attack. i though paddy thinking like that when adding 1 demidevimon and 1 gabumon(adding gabumon to evolve demimeramon) but he didn't think like that.
Hold on, why not play the DemiDevimon he returned and swing with that at 11:00 rather than swing minerva and die? It would have had rush due to having retaliation, and it's effect only stops it attacking digimon, not security.
