Digimon Vital Bracelet BE Introduction and Review 

I feel like I'm on the opposite side of the spectrum in regards to the Adventure Mode change. As a high school student I often check my Vital Bracelet, and I find it a miracle to watch the battle unfold. Knowing it's initiated by the user now makes it even more special to me lol plus I'm I never use the app

Looking forward to this as an upgrade to my V. The good thing about the relative inaccuracies is that you can use punch, squat, dash, crunch as a placeholders for weighted exercises. So Ill do kettle curls, weighted squats, back stuff, pushups instead and still get trophies. Even better is now I don't have to change the date after 1 full set of everything. Also, anytime there is a battle, you better be on the ground doing a plank. If you're creative and consistent, this can end up being a better workout aid than it was designed to be...and you know I'll still be using your charts, humulomon

Just got my digimon vital bracelet BE this week and I have to say that I'm impressed. Money well spent

Used your link in an earlier video to get mind from that Singapore shop and their selection of collectibles is awesome. Side note: Anyone else think this is a golden opportunity for them to make digipets out of Vocaloids and Rockman.EXE characters? I'd LOVE a Miku and Protoman on my BE!!!

I'm mainly going to upgrade from my original vital bracelet to a BE one to take advantage of the newer DiM card compatibility and the associated improvements in DiM card reading on the new vital bracelet. This guide covered lots of details I wasn't even aware of beforehand, so you've done a great job in getting me caught up, at least!

Still happy with my VB. Not a fan of the training changes but only because I didn't like the way training worked already. In a perfect world Bandai will give us a handheld device that is compatible with DIM cards but one that works like a traditional vpet with feeding etc. I want to see a vpet with more interaction and things to do with your mon, akin to how modern tamas are but appropriate for the Digimon theme.

I've had the Vital Bracelet ver 1 and 2 now I have a Vital Hero so I'm very excited to get the BE and try it out. I want to finish all the Dims first. Thank you for all the very informative reviews and your amazing website.

Hopefully since the BE is way to update its software, maybe Bandai can issue is an update where Adventure Mode actually notifies you when a battle is ready.

The waterproofing is easily the best feature of this one for me because I live in a tropical rainforest environment where it rains a lot for half of the year. Just being able to wear it to work and not having to constantly worry about tiny water drops here or there is a massive improvement for me & should allow me to get through dims during wet season. Aside from that the adventure mode change is a bit sad but I can glance at my wrist now and then I suppose

The multicolored Vital Bracelets poster at the start reminded me of when Apple first made the colorful iPhones

I like the waterproofing improvement alot, as its been giving anxiety everytime i wash my hands with my previous bracelets. And another huge major upgrade is the card compatibility, now im wearing 2 watches at once simply if i wanna raise a kamen rider or digimon together, so now having it streamlined, i can continue just loading all different cards onto 1 watch and raise them again back to back.

I pre-ordered mine a month or so ago and can't wait for it to get here

This is my first Vital Bracelet and whilst I am a little daunted by doing the older dim cards with the changes to battles and the win ratio requirements, I'm still pretty happy with it! The strap isn't great for thin wrists though, I have to wear it over the top of my clothes because it's so bulky, and it's awkward to get it done up because of how its designed. Having over 50 dim cards to work through is going to keep me occupied for a very long time though!

Got both the blue and black vital hero bracelets, as a long time Pokémon fan I’ve always liked the whole collect the monsters niche, I even remember watching digimon as a child before I got into Pokémon so naturally now that I’m older I started getting back into digimon after I found a 20th anniversary Vpet at my local toy store while shopping for my niece, we both have a Vpet and Vital hero and it’s really funny how she always calls me asking to go for a walk in the park so we can raise our digimon, I’m considering getting the BE as I’ve already completed most of the dim cards. Waiting to upgrade till the loogamon band and dim release cause we both want a loogamon. Cheers for reminding me about this franchise and giving me something to bond with my niece over, your videos are always a pleasure to watch

Main reason I picked up the Digivice V2 was for the new Gammamon DIM, but I'm starting to like some of these improvements. Plus, I decided I wanted to take the Digivice V I bought on a tour through the desert, and it's taken a bit of a beating, so I might need an upgrade sooner rather than later. I think my major gripe is that some of my favorite Digimon from past releases, like Sakuyamon X and the Imperialdramon PM that I've been raising for the past few months (yes, I know there's a new one, but I'm sentimental, dammit), won't be able to experience the extra features for combat. Still, there's a lot of fun to be had with raising new friends and fighting with the new system, despite its simplicity.

idk who did the promo images for the 4 older vital bracelets shown at roughly 2:15 but props to them. 1997 vitals for digimon and 2000 vitals for kuuga to corelate with the years they released

I might pick one of these up later on, but I'll hold onto the hope that the DMC is a precursor to something big in the near future for classic vpets.

I held off getting the BE and I'm glad I did. I know it was't the focus of this video, but my experience with the Arena App has really put me off getting one. Especially with the Lab App shutting down in March it feels like if I was going to get the BE I'd be consigning myself to endure seemingly endless load times 😩

I'm planning to upgrade my original Vital Bracelet since the announcement of Gaomon and Loogamon. One of my main issues was that I couldn't work with my Digimon at night when I had work, but once I get my VV I'll be able to unlock all the Digimon without any major issues. I mainly watched this video to see if there were any backwards compatibility. Thanks for the video!

Well, I was hesitant, but now I'm sold! Especially because I used to wear mine everywhere, now I work on a CNC machine, and the presence of water and coolants reduced my digimon time during my most active hours. Probably going to buy multiples haha.

Hey i dont know if you covered this. but another new feature i found is you can do multiple adventure missions on the BE watch from your last two BE cards you used. when u pick adventure you can scoll to the other dim card adventure mode. this will make battles way easier. so you can use your digimon from the gammamon BE card to fight 25th annivs BE card missions.

Ordered my 25th Anni BE from P Bandai and gotta wait till January to get it, but I'm glad to finally hear that my old DiMs will still work on it. Was pretty bummed at the thought of not being able to raise my fish bois

I have kept up with the VB series since it came out and the BE is by far the best yet. It took a moment to adjust to the changes but I think they are for the best. I would recommend the BE going forward. The only downside so far is the app, but that is sure to change ovwr time.

I'm still holding back to see what new improvements they can make before jumping on this new BE. For one, I don't like how the new app doesn't have a Bandai Namco sign in (meaning the data won't be saved on the cloud and I might lose any Digimon stored there if I delete the app). Like you mentioned, it's hard to hear the device in loud environments. A way to circumvent this in future models is to include vibration on the device. Despite changing what exercise do for the Digimon, battle animation is still lackluster. I prefer a flashy finishing move than just a splash art popping up.

Man I really want this, I'm just a sucker for anything that references the OG VPet. It would be cool if they could do something Pendulum-themed for the VB too somehow

I only just got my BE, but as I only wear it on weekends when I'm not at work (my V is already scraped and battered from work, so y'know, why ruin my new one) I havn't explored that many features yet but one of the big things I was looking forward to was the thinner design, I found the V to sometimes feel a bit too big and clunky for the size of my wrist, but the BE is way more comfortable for me. I do like that they increased the length of the wrist strap as well, even just from the perspective of having some friends who found the previous strap length of the watch a little short for them who would find the new one more comfortable. Granted i know it's more of a childs toy but it's nice to see bandai consider that adults probably want to play with these watches more than kids haha.

I love it. But I’m strictly a digimon pvp person. I like being able to customize the battle stats of my mons for pvp and love that the new pvp app is real-time with more of a battle focus. The original device was more of a mon collector with the app having little to no real pvp support outside of ghost battles.

I originally thought this was a clear upgrade path, but I don't think I'm going to jump on this just yet. I hope they sell well enough for them to upgrade again though. The new app is also not a huge upgrade imo. Hoping things get better with time. Still enjoying my digi v though.

that adventure mode change where you need to confirm the boss fight is a huge downgrade. I would leave it on at work and then when I got home check out the progress made. having to check the BE every once in a while to try to remain efficient isn't gonna work well for me and my use case. oh well, relatively minor but still a downgrade imo. everything else looks pretty good!

I just got mine white be and I'm loving it. I do like the new slimmer design and the battery I feel is better. I just wish the b memory selection gets better. The 25th dim is cool but redoing the ghost game dims kinda piss me off but I get y though. I really want a donedevimon dim or a nightmare soldiers dim.

after owning the VB for a year plus. i did a silly mistake of forgetting taking it out from my pocket and it got in the laundry and dryer....just in time as i have preordered the BE🤣been collecting all the digimon Dims so excited to fill in the dex again! (my regret now is i didnt keep my mega digimon in the vb lab lol)

I like it, as someone who loves Toku, I love the VBM usage. Since I had my Galaxy watch active 2, and the digimon VB on the other arm, I ran out of room, so I didn't get the Rider bracket, that's no longer a issue with the BE. I'm not excusing the iffy water resistance, but I'm not complaining about it, since as far as I was concern, the biggest "tech" thing for Bandai was NFC chips in Kamen rider or Ultraman gimmicks, this is still new to them, it's a issue with a Apple watch, or a Galaxy watch, not so much a $50-$70 USD dollar toy, the same could be said with the heart rate reader with darker skin tones. The app might be troublesome right now, but so was pokemon go, updates will fix it. If anything why Micro USB? 5below and vital bracelet products are the only things that use micro USB, they give you one, the cables still exist at Walmart, but why? Is USB type C not a thing in Japan? I feel like I could get 2 days out of my Digivice -V, if I turn it off overnight, but not with the Digivice -VV, only 1 day. It's good, just give me a case for Bememories with more space then the last DIM case and put type C in and improve the water resistance with the 3rd version. I take off my Pokemon Go Plus and my VB when eating, then wash my hands, because technology and grease don't mix, even with the IPX4, I'll still be doing that, just to be safe. I took off my VB with the rain, no matter how hard it was, still be doing that with the BE, to be safe. If it gets wet and survives hurray, gets wet and dies, shows how good that rating really is.

Was just looking for a gen 1 digivice like one I had when I was a kid.... I believe I may have some catching up to do.

Personally, I like my BE and believe it's a great upgrade for me. Being able to have my Digimon, Kamen Rider and Ultraman on one device is awesome! Sure, the battles seem tougher, but that's a part of the fun for me. Either way, I think this is a great entry into the series and has just enough added for me to justify the purchase. Love your content by the way!

One think I haven't noticed much in the comments yet is on the battery life. I'm coming from having an original first gen VB and given the BE uses the same battery it seems to die more quickly. I'm not sure if this is because the firmware needs to process more and thus uses more energy or what but I find myself charging the BE more often than I did my original VB.

I am not a fan of them putting certain colors behind franchises that I don't care about, but at least the cards aren't locked anymore. I'm also glad that it doesn't mix franchises in battle, since I would prefer to deal with just Digimon. It does seem like an improvement for the most part, but the change to the adventure mission is just bizarre to me. If you have to start the battle manually, then I have no idea why it doesn't just beep when you reach the step requirement. =.=;

Personally I prefer the evolution requirement be showing with the next evolution in a silhouette or simply a question mark. I miss the old days when I never know what my digimon will digivolve into

The evolution requirements and timers built into the device is a god send, but the timer before their stats lock is upsetting. Honestly I think the benefits to this one really are so nice compared to the old ones.

Have you experienced that the screen is kind of pulsating/flickering in a steady rhythm, especially at lowest brightness settings? I see it on my BE device very clearly and I also see it faintly in your video, but its difficult to see with the proper lighting you use for your videos. I also saw a reddit post on that topic. Anyway, I would just be interested in hearing your experience of how common it is.

I'm still good with my Gammamon VB but I'm still waiting to hear what happened with the Judgement of Heaven dim and the Karma of God dim.

Negatives are not an issue, especially with the Vital Bracelet BE capable of updates via microSD card. Just communicate the issues to Bandai Namco and it could be fixed in future updates.

I currently have the V and don't know if an upgrade is worth it yet. The Adventure mode issue might not be a problem for me because I'm pretty fidgety and check my VB often, even when when I put it on silent. Being shut out of certain evolution paths is a turn off for me though(if I understand that right). I still have plenty of DIM's I haven't used yet maybe I should wait til the next one.

Honestly the limit of DNA evolutions for specific Digimon is actually a better imo…more than once I would get a DNA Evo instead of a standard Evo and it was a really frustrating process

Thank you for all the work you do on this series! Out of curiosity, has it been confirmed if you can transfer Digimon from the old DIMs to the BE? So say you transferred Digimon from your old VB to the app, can they then be transferred from the app to the BE?

The one thing I need to ask that doesn't appear to be in the digitamahatchery guide is how do you change wrists? When installing both my Gammamon and Imperialdramon BEMemory's it asked me what wrist but didn't allow me to change.

I'm overall happy with the Vital Bracelet BE (this is the first one I bought ever, despite following the trend for years), but there are some things that bother me... 1) Despite doing exercises in a perfect form, half the time the rep is not counted by the bracelet... Like 1 every 2-3 crunches gets detected, so in the end I always get "good" despite doing almost double the repetitions needed for a Great :/ 2) The BE seems to detect that I'm ALWAYS walking or running... I'm sitting down, I move my arm to check the bracelet and that is enough to trigger the walking animation for my Digimon... Is it normal? I can check if my Digimon is Happy only removing the device and waiting a bit (if not having the "crying" state) 3) Battles are a nightmare... I keep missing and missing and getting hit and this tilts me a bit ahaha Today I trained basically only with Dash like 35 times and I keep missing 4 times straight against lower tier Digimons, sigh For point 1 and 2, maybe there's a recalibration option I'm not aware of? Or this is somewhat expected?

I thought it would be fun to have a functional fitness bracelet with a creature that will train with you and become stronger and wanted to buy it, but after looking at the review I realized that this is more of an ordinary tamagotchi than a full-fledged fitness bracelet, besides the ability to just shake the bracelet to do the task reduces motivation for a real extra workout... Thank you for helping me save money and give up buying this toy

I tried Adventure mode on my VB BE using an old DIM Card (Kazemon EX) and I noticed it does not pause the Adventure mode. It works like it always did on my old VB. I haven't tried Adventure Mode with a BE memory yet. Is it possible the Adventure mode change is only for BE memory? My firmware is 1.0.A if that helps.

Due to the sheer fact that I lost my VB V to a washer machine, I look forward to the new water proofing that we plebs couldn't figure a hack out for prior. Seriously miss raising my digimons 😭

I was kind of hoping they'd add more of the features like or at least similar to the ones TamaSmart has but nope... Actually now that I think about it, this seems more like an incremental firmware/software upgrade and the Vital Bracelet has a USB port. Is there even a justification for selling new hardware?

Hi Humulos! Got a questions unrelated to the video. I know connecting the two Digimon X Ver. 1 unlocks a special zone with Dukemon at the end. Does something happen if you connect a Ver. 1 with Ver. 2?

There is one reason to buy the VB instead of the BE: you can battle without any app at all with your friends using a VS memory

I'm here seven months later, deciding if I should pick up a BE or Anniversary bracelet after I lost all my digimon in the old app.

So just to confirm, if you don't get your digimon to the highest evolution in the 100 hours it won't be able to evolve further? And also old DIMs can have backup functionality if the backup digimon is from the same DIM? Is the 100 hour limit given to old DIMs as well? I wonder if Bandai will make changes to the firmware based on feedback, or if modders will start making their own versions of the firmware that fix some of the things people have gripes with.

The battles being harder are a huge bummer to me.

Mr Humulos, can I charge my Digivice VV using others micro usb cable aside the provided one? As the provided cable is short, this make it harder to charge it using adapter.

I really don't like that you can't increase stats after 100 hours. As someone with a desk job it makes it really hard to get to later stage evos.
