I hope Bandai US is happy enough with sales to bring the BE. The BE, with all the compatibility and iconic brands, should have been the first sold in US. Would have definitely sold better
I like the VB as a casual companion to my walks. In case you're wondering how much value you'll get out of the roster as well, it gets harder to complete all the prerequisites for higher evolutions in a single day without the app, so if you want a very relaxed experience evolving instead of going for one per day I definitely recommend trying it without the app. It makes you rely on features like the adventure mode way more as well if you don't use NFC, so pushes you out of the house more.
Really weird move for them to release the Hero at the same time that the BE, a clearly superior device, was announced. I'll be waiting for that one, appreciate the tips on how to import one.
I feel like the BE is at the very least 6 months out. But besides that , bandai is perfectly willing to resell multiple iterations (as well as hold onto better features for the later versions)
Yeah, that seems to be the usual with Bandai and their virtual pets. I’ve lost count on the number of times they’d announce or release a new Tamagotchi for non-JP regions, while a clearly superior device was coming very soon for JP.
It's not weird. It's not the first time America got the left over stock from Japan at the same time they get another new device. That's all this really is, minimal change.
We need a video talking about how they did the vital hero dirty. The vital hero packaging promotes the original superior app and since its shutdown the vital hero is missing a bunch of key features. No more sending missions from the app, no more tamer rank, no more evolution timer, no more UI customization, not to mention some of these have menus on the device itself are not completely useless. As someone who just got into the hobby this was a huge kick in the balls.
A huge plus is the fact that I now have the chance to get the Dims I missed when originally getting my digivice V. I do kind of wish I could get the Pulse City Dim Seperatly, especially since the App just gives you a Pulsemon, but being able to walk Into a store, and get the other Dims is great...Or at least it would be if the only digimon product curently being sold in the Target I worked at right now wern't the Ex-01 gift boxes. Last time I checked they didn't even put out Survive yet. I'm glad I pre-ordered my copy from a different store otherwise I would probably be really sad right now.
Honestly have had mine for almost a week and I absolutely love it, and I second the recommendation of pairing a run of the vital hero with a actual digimon vpet.
I really really hope this getting developed further, kinda a shame that the Vital Hero screen etc. is so small and overall build quality not on par with 30$ xiaomi amazfit etc devices. I hope they change the display format to something like the Xros Loader so we can appreciate those awesome digimon on a bigger screen.
I'm still on the fence even after all this time and this video. I like interacting with my v-pets the most, periodically checking, but I'm also into fitness, yet this device isn't really a great fitness tracker or anything of the sort. I have a feeling I'd enjoy it regardless because Digimon, and I do own traditional V-pets so just...absolutely 50/50 still. Maybe the BE will get an English release by the time I can actually make the purchase.
Based on a few of your other videos, I picked up the V about a month ago. Cheaper and got a jump on the English release. Just got back from the beach where I started the Infinite tide dim and a pedZ Deep Savers, a blast
Man my favorite is the pendulum 20th. It had a lot of eggs and evolution lines, plus you could raise two digimon at once and kinda trade with copymon, jogress. The colored stripes are amazing but kinda wished for a focuss on raising the digimon so it can be more unique when battling
I bought the Vital Hero and it's awesome as I work a desk job. It sucks the clock doesn't stay on all the time but I can live with it. I'm going to buy the BE as well. The Vital Hero is a good entry for me and is getting me to work out and move around more. I'll be buying Dim cards so that I can have a large selection for the BE
@@flyingmobias About a week or so. There are several evolution lines. Then again I had a lot of time on my hands this past weekend. So probably about a week sounds about right for one line.
Nice. So weeks of daily play per dim card. Are you still interested in getting dims now knowing those mons will have lower stats in BE compared to BE card mons? Not sure it matters too much anyway... like 10-25% power difference or smtn
@@flyingmobias It's a bummer but I'm enjoying the weight loss aspect of the Vital Hero. I've been far more active especially since I have a sedentary jobs where I drive to meet clients and type out reports. I'm sure I'll get over it once I train the new batch using a BE.
Gotcha. Yeah I just got mine and I'm excited to use it. One benefit for Hero is for the BE apparently: "General attribute based jogress is gone, it was a nice feature that allowed more custom evolution lines". And having 3 days to do all a mon's stat training seems bad. Still has juicy features ofc... one could prefer Hero though...
I would like to buy one to support the release but I already have a vb and want to upgrade to BE. I hope these are successful so we get more access here
I want so badly to support the Vital Hero, because the only way we're gonna get more/better English releases is if we actually buy the English releases...But good lord, the BE is just SUCH an upgrade that I really can't justify not holding out for it.
Enjoying it as first bracelet own, but I expected just more to do in the app tbh… there’s no raid active atm yet, there’s no story missions or anything else outside of arena battles, it just lacks content..

Not gonna lie, I immediately went to the digitama site and ctrl-f'd "renamon". I want a Vital Hero regardless, but knowing my favorite ninja fox is an option is definitely a selling point. I'll probably pick one up, and eventually grab a Renamon Dim Card. I'll go for black, probably.
I am okay with this being a reskin of the V, I think its fair that they want to test the market first with a device they already have tons of units of. I bought the hero to support but ill also buy the BE when it releases and give the hero to my nephews or girlfriend.
The vital hero manual says a dim can only be paired to one device, yet you in the video say it can share dims with up to 3 devices, I was wondering which is correct? Have you tested sharing dims between 2 hero models, or just between a hero and a digivice V?

The vital hero is a great bracelet if you don't have one yet and you really want one. For me, I've preordered the BE 25th anniversary edition. I'm also looking forward to your overview of the BE for the info that we do know. I also wonder how the app(s) for the vital bracelet will change. Only time will tell I suppose. But I'm sure looking forward to the BE come Nov/Dec. As for an unrelated thing, I want to have the DMXC/D localized in my hands... But when are they back? I also want to boot one up again, see if it's still as charming as it ever was.
I bought the Agumon Vital hero I like the roster they went for it, I hope they would release the Veemon dim on its own seeing how Id think the US isnt going to get the ver special.
I'm wait for a more water resistant one my digivice v got a little splash and screen, nfc stop working but I can hear from pressing buttons the board and heart rate sensor still works. BE might be good for me and make sure to keep better care of it.
I think I wanna wait to see if the BE gets an English release. When ordering my Bracelet (DM; V wasn't available at the time) from Bandai, I then learned there was an English release coming to Amazon (V). Since we have that band, I have some faith that the BE will eventually have an English. Might take some time, but it's time I'd be willing to wait. The V model hasn't really given me issues, and I can mute it while going to work. I'd say it's a win, especially since my Digimon can still get their vitals and evolve through the day, shaving down the wait time. The low maintenance makes it easier during the shifts as well, so I can say focused on my job, not having to tie my Digimon to the app most of the day. 🎶 However, I would love to upgrade to the BE model once we see it's release.
Personally I am happy with the product the guy doesn’t give it a horrible bashing on it being bad because it is a toy so he’s kind about that and even reminds you about that the app that the watch comes with even helps raise your digimon and I was a huge fan of the show all I’m saying is I don’t really see a negative in getting it cause it plus the app makes you feel like a real digimon trainer so I like it and am getting on I’m getting the blue color one I consider another dim chip once I’m done with training gabbumon (sry if I misspelled I have horrible memory) all in all I think it’s a next gen game/toy with cool digimon in the future I might get the renamon, gammamon, or the forest hermit set dim cards like I said I may consider more digimon imo this thing is cool
I decided to pick this up kinda laughed when it said my heart rate is 80/80 when running bc I know it’s not honestly though $40 bucks it’s not bad this use to be like $100 where I live which it’s not worth at all
Am I the only one who doesn't think the Dim cards are worth it? Not only are they limited use, but the amount of content just doesn't seem to justify the price tag, and it doesn't help that they're bundled in pairs when I always want just one out of the two.
i've searched EVERYWHERE for the answer for this question: is the heart rate detector better on this version? because I had the original japanese watch and it almost never detects my heart rate, i tried many tricks to make it work such as the paper thingy but it just did not work, sometimes it did on rare occasions but that's it, so i just trashed the thing away, but i really enjoyed it when it worked, so if you know if the heart detector is better or not please reply to me! thank you
never had one of these but i am kind of interested, a few questions though- 1- does the screen scratch easily? 2- how comfortable is wearing it? the protruding nub under the screen feels like it would hurt 3- is it water proof? 4- of the current ones out in the US, which is the best? thanks
So if I understand correctly this is the updated V model ? I bought the digivice V from Amazon Japan because it was the updated version of the original DM model. I wanted to get a friend one as well but this model is the updated V one ? Just with the original DM logo then ? A bit strange if that is the case but if it is I’m ordering one right away.
I heard that youre using your Japanese Dim Card, I bought a Japanese aversion of the Plant (green) and Machine (blue) dims and neither worked, Im trying to fix that but I better return them and buy English version
There's nothing special you need to do to make them work, the only reasons they wouldn't would be if those Dim cards have already been used on three other devices or if they are broken.
If Getting the English Hero Bracelet and using a Japanese DiM will the name appear as Japanese ? Also same question in reverse, if I was to get say the new BE bracelet, or say the Japanese equivalent to the Hero ( V ) using an English DiM will the name appear in English or Japanese on the Bracelet? As I’m undecided if I should get the Hero or wait out the new BE version as quite conflicted if the BE is superior… due to the price with exchange rate here in Oz
Already brought it up in my most recent news video! There's no actual reason from Bandai, it was just removed and hasn't come back. If you want to stay more informed, I'd recommend going to discord.gg/digimon, that type of information can be found quickly there.
So the dim card if I were to buy the Japanese ones they will work on the vital hero except the names would be Japanese right? Also is there a difference between English and Japanese dims ?
I have a question which I’m still confused about, was the heart rate detection fixed on later vital bracelets? Because I got a ver. Special and I’ve had no issues with any low amount of detection or anything (I get almost max vitals while just wearing it and doing minimal exercise), but I have nothing to compare it to.
wow, the dim card system they chose is such a huge waste of materials. Considering how there's a companion app, they could have easily accomplished what they wanted without all the physical materials.
