Digital Art For Beginners in this video i will be explaining the basics of digital art instagram / toonsquash_art twiter / toonsquash tools wacom citiqu 13 hd firealpaca imovie quicktime player
DO NOT USE GIMP! They haven't updated it in like 2 years now. A good free one is Krita, but I also suggest FireAlpaca for beginners. It's a lot less intense/complicated than Krita, but Krita is amazing.
I was interested in digital art in my digital arts class in school, i am actually a traditional artist (not exactly a pro tho) and i know a lot about digital art but never really considered to use it as one of my mediums. But then i was surprised to see that the class provides laptops and wacom drawing tablets (i was new to the school) at first couple of projects i was really confused on how things work but now its really easy for me (due to help of the teacher) and so yeah! Hoping to get my own drawing tablets soon!
Georgia Hudgens ahhh omg I hope I have one of those classes in high school, I draw traditionally and I wanna try digital art so I can start getting used to it at a young age and by 18 I can start making webtoons (hopefully)
And I'm here using my finger. Lmao rip. And the fact that my phone is only 5 inch makes me suffers more. I've spent years on makin art, but well. It's bad. Just bad. Wat is life anymore
That’s all I use, and I am making animations with it that I actually like. I tried downloading more advanced software but I got too confused with them. There are some tricks you can do with Paint that some people don’t know about, and if you have good enough drawing skill and patience, you can make it work. I use an app called “blur background” to blur the backgrounds I draw in paint. Then I copy and paste the characters on top of that. On a side note, I agree that Windows Movie Maker is shit. Too many glitches.
Is the 13 hd portable....? I mean like I can animate on the couch and take it on the bus and stuff.....? I use a laptop, so they work for that....? Laptop is windows 10.
Hi, i know you probably won’t see this but I just want to thank you for getting me into digital art. After 1,5 years i’m still not very good at it but i find it really fun to do. You have been a huge inspiration for me and the reason i got into digital art.
I used to use firealpaca but I now use MediBang Paint Pro (aka Cloudalpaca) this is a bit better than firealpaca because, for one, if your computer RANDOMLY DECIDES TO UPDATE WHILE YOUR IN A MIDDLE OF DRAWING SOMETHING AND YOU FORGOT TO SAVE IT (uuggh), Cloudalpaca automatically saves it (in a sort of way) so when your computer is back on, you can continue! Also, Cloudalpaca has a lot more brushes and more features than firealpaca (at least it had more features when I got it idk what firealpaca has anymore :P), and everything is gray-ish and makes me feel more professional for some reason o3o AND ITS FREE :'D
I just got medibang paint pro! I really like it. It's really good for a free program. I also found a lot of brushes on there that I really enjoy! I never heard about it until recently, but so far I have no complaints using that program. I didn't know it had a different name though, that's cool!
CVNY-VIIK qasim i wasn't insulting you. i was saying that it is really dangerous to download paid programs for free. even if they are stupidly expensive.
This is one of my favourite videos. I don't know why but I love the way you say "no clue" at 0:05. I don't know why but it gets me every time and I keep watching every so often. This is really weird now that I say it out loud
If you're just starting out, you can get a much better tablet for the same cheap price with XP-Pen or Huion. Currently, the XP-Pen Deco01 is a tremendous beginners' tablet (60-80$)
I have the xp pen g640 its really cheao like 30$ and its pretty good. At least for beginners its a cheap alternitive if u dont have that much money to spend or not to sure about drawing regulary.
I'm actually watching this video on my Wacom Cintiq 13HD drawing tablet. I love it so much! just suck at digital art and I came to RU-vid for some help.
All other youtubers be like 'sensitivity bla comfort bla size bla' but here he goes 'i forgot to mention you need a functional computer that can do these things' because bless you YES! The fact that other beginner digital art tutorial vlogs didn't mention them kinda baffled me, but it's the most important info lol
Yeah, I use Sketchbook Express and Flip-A-Clip with my finger on my iPad screen, but I'm looking into real programs since I've been procrastinating to find one while I've had my Intuos sitting around for almost a year now. XD
Actually, MS paint is actually good. I use it often, (but i still use sai more than it) but you just need the right stuff. you can shade well with the brushes.
Same, I am waiting for that one person to reply on this comment chain and be like "lollolololol no I started on photoshop and corel painter you nubs lolol"
tbh the commentary was a bit of a drag but the animations made up for it lol, and thanks for the video i'm looking to make an art store but i'm not good at making digital art
I am only 13 yrs old i'm really into 2D animation ... I was searching on the internet if it is worth to buy a tablet for animating I couldn't find any help please anyone?? I really need to know if is it worth cause for my type of family it is expensive
Cookie Monster sure,it is an app it also has a website. It gives an opportunity for people to read and make comics, you wont do it by yourself you will take lessons you could even get payed 😅 if u want to know more text me on my instagram (almaha_alhosani.2005)
thanks fire alpaca really works thanks for doing this video i will make sure to come back here in case i need help figuring out what animation software to install on not only this computer but all future computers
I just draw my chibi characters on paper..... But I wish I could have enough money for the IPAD because I'm so used to that, I use it a lot when ever I go to my friends house! but for now, I need to deal with the mouse clicks -_-
xSummerBaex Yup, definitly can relate, and it's even worse that wacom (the only brand of drawing tablets that they have here) is overpriced in my country.
iconic evann yeah cause they knew how to use it. you however, would bring up ugly squares when you draw. why get ms paint when you can get a better software for free aswell
+DarkMidnightKat I feel like it depends more on the tools you have because you might be good at drawing with paper and pencil but if you don't have a pen for your digital drawings it's harder I tried it its kinda hard to do it with your fingers
This is the first video I saw of your channel ever you’re pretty cool I like your style I subscribe to you and this video helped me thank you I can’t wait to see your next post. 👏💗💗
I used Krita for a couple days. While it is good for beginners it’s REALLY pixelated which is why I came to this video so I could look for different painting softwares. 😛
I also recommend Krita, as it has a awesome animation software, and it is really well made (saying it’s free) Oh! And if you want a digital tablet that’s also cheap (CHEAPER THAN YOURS! Lol sorry) is the Huion tablets. They are a bit pricy, but much cheaper than Wacom.
Am I the only one who thinks they won't like drawing on the pad attachment instead of the screen?... cuz I'm so used to seeing my drawing where my hand is (like on paper) so this might be awkward to use. Guess I'll just get a normal drawing tablet, one that doesn't have that pad thingy to attach.
I'm actually 12 and I have an Intuos, or another name for it being the pad that you mentioned in your comment. I've had my Intuos for almost a year now and I can assure you that you will get used to the feel of it. I, too, thought that staring at a screen would be nearly impossible while having the stylus land in the right spot on the tablet, but now I feel like I'm a professional at it. I would definitely recommend buying the Intuos over something expensive like a Cintiq though; the Cintiq is oftentimes used by someone who will devote to art and/or animation for their whole life, and it would be a shame to lose interest in art/animation after having owned the Cintiq for a short time. What I'm trying to say is that you should really make this decision by thinking on what you plan to do with your career: do something that does or does not involve art and/or animation? Just some helpful advice. :)
i have the intuos and have had it for almost over a year but i don't use it frequently and i still don't feel adjusted to it. it's very easy to figure out where your pen will show up on the screen but when trying to draw lines, i find it hard to stay continuously in the direction that i want to go without directly seeing what i'm drawing.
I just got an Ugee M708 and it's cheap and fabulous! First time having a drawing tablet so I don't have much to compare it to, but it is pretty damn cool. I've also been using Autodesk Sketchbook, but will now try out Fire Alpaca just to see how well I can work with it. This was a great little video and not gonna lie, it was super adorable lol. Thanks!
I've been looking on Amazon and from what I've read, yeah, their tablets are pretty good. I wanted the Huion Giano but I don't think it would fit on my desk (my keyboard is MASSIVE), so I'm getting an XP-Pen Star 06
