Digital Cinema Projector How-to 

I used to operate exactly the same projector while I was working at the cinema. Marriage was my worst nightmare. Had to perform a couple of those because of faulty cables in the middle of a screening. What a throwback this video is.

Thats cool as hell. I work at a cinema and we have a NEC NC 2000C linked together with a Dolby DSS200. No matter what make or model, they are all cool and work uniquely to their own ways.

This is so cool! I love this video. This really explains how they go about setting things up to run in a digital theater. I have a whole new-found respect for the Christie line of projectors. Even though that's a slightly older model, it's still really impressive at how easy that is to set up and run. Very insightful! Thanks so much for putting this video together. Excellent work!

Great video as always, All of these digital cinema projectors are indeed unique, cool how you are able to show the menus through your PC. Probably one of the most in depth videos of the menus of the cinema projectors on RU-vid. I have heard the sensors on certain models are indeed sensitive, causing the projectors to lock up. Hopefully you haven't experienced those issues too often

Hi Kyle! Great Video. Could you please describe how you connected the projector to VNC? I have also tried some of Christie's remote Apps to try to control our projector with no luck. Christie Virtual Remote sees the projector on the network, but will not connect to it. Any guidance you could give would be helpful! Thanks!

Does this automate the curtains, or is that a different system?

Question: does the contrast, exposure and saturation change when you project a DCP, compared to a reference grading monitor, like Eizo. Thanks ❤️

I’m surprised that even though it’s old, it’s a relatively simple system. It doesn’t look 100% amazing, but it’s pretty good.

any idea how to change the image settings like too much contrast or not enough information in black tones? I heard the CP2210 came with an adjustment remote but my theater lost theirs. so adjusting via the touch screen would be best.

Is there a newer version of this system?

Is there a difference for drive inns and cinema projectors? Which would be better for a drive inn???

went and saw sonic 2 at my local largest cineplex and the projector quality was miserable. It was so dark even for such a bright movie. Any scrolling or panning of the image would completely chop up the image into a blur and take about a 1/3 a second to stabilize when still. The fur effects on Sonic were like tv static most of the movie. We have been sold a bill of goods in these digital projectors. They have so much bit rate and lag issues.
