Dijana: In Her Own Words 

Dijana Evans Listening to you and how you speak and how you think about things shows really how necessary you are to Lloyd to be who he is. You are LOVE personified. Living the way we do and growing up as JWs has a huge effect on our confidence and trust, and we especially waking up and being shunned by family and friends, doubt ourselves and whether we are truly loved from that time on. You can feel the honesty in your words and see the love you have so easily that I’m sure Lloyd is able to trust himself so much better. What’s great too is it’s easy to also see the intelligence and strength you have. I don’t think any of us who wake up can continue to be with a partner who is weak, submissive, or domineering. I don’t know sorry for my rambling. I see my beautiful wife has qualities so much like yours and even though she is PIMI I have hope that these qualities will help her eventually wake up too. As for Jessica, man you have such an intelligent little girl! While you and Lloyd were doing your interview in the car I couldn’t stop watching her expressive face in the back seat. She knew the conversation was somewhat serious and was so polite in just listening and her expressions on her face were the best. It’s amazing how much better of a parent I want to be now that I’m awake, before my children were important to me but also was such a responsibility that they pleased Jehovah and their behavior had to please the elders and everyone else around so that I could be looked at as a good father and good brother. Now I adore my children, their happiness is my most important legacy and I delight in every bit of their different personalities. I’ve become so much closer to them and I will protect them with every ounce of me. They will know true love. Lloyd if anyone ever needed proof you are a good and decent man all they would need to do is meet your wife and daughter. A person like Dijana wouldn’t stay with you otherwise and Jessica could not be as smart and sweet and confident in both of you if you weren’t a great father. Everyone of us who wake up and show our families what the true meaning of love is has already beaten those who continue to give it false meaning and destroy families.

Hi Dijana: I've been an JW for 30 years. My wife was born into the religion. It took me around 10 years to finally consider myself completely awake. My wife's process has been much harder. It is to her very sad to have lost her faith. She refuses to watch any videos on the subject. Yet as soon as I mentioned to her that John Cedars' wife was interviewed, she immediately wanted to see it. She felt a connection to you and listened intently to your every word. Thank you for agreeing to share your thoughts with us. You have no idea how helpful it was.

Thank you both for the video. I completely understand it's difficult to discuss and expose your thoughts and details for the world to see. It must be very hard, please however, do not underestimate the impact you are both making to millions of people. This work is extremely important and necessary. Through the bad times and the good times, please know that your sacrifices are appreciated by many. You truly are changing people's lives for the better and this is the real truth of the matter.

Caitlyn Bineau I deal with kids 5 days a week. The continuously well behaved child is a myth and as elusive as the end of a rainbow. All NORMAL young children throw tantrums and misbehave every so often. They usually reserve such behavior for people they love and trust. If a child is always "well-behaved", more than likely they are victims of physical or sexual abuse and they trust absolutely nobody. Hence the reason they feel the need to act "perfect".

She certainly has been brought up with compassion and 💘. Adorable little girl.

Maryann Lockwood same here. As full circles go, I left for good when my daughter turned 2 because like Dijana I couldn’t bare the thought of her having the life I did.

I am disappointed that my videos did not come out well. I’ve thought about going back to get improved images. I took videos to honor the no flash policy. To think that we all came from the same religious heritage that began so many years ago! I will remember that day for the rest of my life too. Thank you for the nice reply. I hope you all could come back for a another visit. Maybe someday you could settle down in the US. Although the little I’ve seen of Croatia through Lloyd’s videos, the country looks beautiful. Especially the coast. Yes there is some craziness here in the US but there is everywhere. My preference is the southeast coast of the US. That’s where I hope to retire someday.

I've really enjoyed seeing your beautiful family and it warms my heart to know that you have a safe, loving little unit there to buoy you up through what must be pretty difficult at times. Me too. I thought this was beautiful. I am very happy for Lloyd and Dijana. They love their little Jessica so much they would give their lives for her. Though it is sad to be disfellowshipped, it is also a very freeing thing and can lead to a new fuller life at any age!

I want to wish you all a healthy, happy and loving life. A perspective through the other lens is so enlightning.
