Back in 2023! Fucking 46 later this year, still raving (when the wife lets me, lol). This track is one of my *all time* Amen rinse outs! Still sounds like the future! So glad I was raving in the 90's. Never beat that era!
93 through to the Cybotron album, he was absolutely the man! This is one of his best and a personal anthem!........and Jheeze, the Angels Fell E.P. on Metalheadz. Unbelievable!
@@breakfreak3181 Armoured D in 96 was another god-level piece. Still blows my mind when I hear it. TBH the list of Dilly belters is long, every one semtex.
@kinada 73 Yeah, that's a brutal riddim! I got it on the Platinum Breakz album BITD (what a fucking album!) I heard it out for the first time in years in the Blue Note room at Metalheadz at Club 338 last year (which was one of the best events I went to last year!) It blew the place up just like it did in the old days!
Mate, I totally agree! This *really is* one of jungle's finest moments. Forbidding intro, filth 'fake' first drop and then.....the *real* drop at 01:20 with the distorted 808s! No cheese, no compromise, no gimmicks. Perfection! One of my most prized vinyls from BITD!
Wow. Just found this now as a Dillinja track. I dug out Jungle Renegades vol 1 a few weeks ago to play in my car and this track is on the CD under the artist Test. I have had this CD for 20 years and never knew it was a Dillinja track. You learn something new every day!
This is actually the tune which got me into Jungle, as it was called then, watchin a Helter Skelter video, man all i knew was Gabba techno and Happy hardcore this this badboy rolled in by Dj Phantasy, well i knew that is the shit, moody as you fuckin like with dem beats, in them dayz i was like wot de fuck is dat beat called haha :-) AMEN BROTHER, BRING BACK 1994
hi m8 many thanks for sending, i forgot about this, how i dont know lol, absolute classic, cained to extremes in 94. personally i prefer this to the remix (often the case with me originals better but there are exceptions). The remix has better production but the drums on this version have a raw power quite unique to it and i would choose this original over the remix every day of the week. awesome upload, thanks, 5 *****
Lol, that flange effect when you got the mix *locked in!* Had to cut the fader in and out occasionally to let people know it's still a mix! Ahh, the days of vinyl. You just have to push buttons now (and there's nothing wrong with that!) But, you had to *earn* those mixes BITD. (Spoken like a true old fart!)
