That building was constructed in early 90's which was popularly known by citizen as city tower and hence the junction was named as such..

This redundant clock tower should be removed. A manned or electronic police point must be installed in its place. A lot of confusion takes place here at this unmanable junction and the traffic gets frustratingly interlocked at times. If the tower is removed than the base can be used as a platform on special occasions too.
