I personally have never gotten a hint of arrogance watching any of his performances, ever. He just becomes the song and gives it 100%, that's how passionate he is. It always takes him few seconds to get back to reality when he finishes, and thanks the band and the audience afterwards. He has always been a kind, humble, modest man.

Omir Oter (Life is Short) is a Kazakh song composed by Renat Gaisin who calls It an ode to life of any person who has thought about the meaning of their existence. The video was made at the request of Khabar Agency. The filming took place at the Astana Opera Theater. The youngest of the actors is just 2 years old. As a result, the idea to make a gift to Dimash fans in honour of the 30th anniversary of Independence of Kazakhstan has become real. The story of creation and the message of “Omir Oter” video was revealed by its director Anna Oboyanskaya. From the first seconds, a viewer sees a large solemn theatre hall. It is empty and only rarely people of different age and sex appear in it as a symbol of the fact that man enters this life and leaves it alone. What unites all the people in the hall is “Him”, the image of a man who is timeless. Dimash is a hero who celebrates life and lets the past and future of an entire nation pass through him. The future in this case is behind him in the form of a futuristic shining portal. Throughout the video, Dimash revolves between the ascetic, minimalistic black and white portal (the unknown future) and the colorful hall (the bright present and the rich past). The nation’s legendary past is brought to life by prominent historical figures like Genghis Khan. They are just as inspired as the generation of their coevals to listen to their descendant standing on the stage in front of them. “The video symbolically shows people of different eras, ages, genders, classes. These are both legendary personalities, who are long gone, but they left behind a great legacy, and simple young residents of modern Kazakhstan, who have yet to go their way and reach new heights,” Anna Oboyanskaya says. The turning point of the video is an old man whose face is not immediately visible. He walks through the empty hall, his every movement reads nostalgia, as if he was here once. At the key moment, the viewer realises that this is Dimash, but in old age. A grown-up man with a lifetime of experience and a young man full of energy and aspirations are one and the same. The old man in the audience looks at his young self on stage, and his whole life flashes before his eyes. This moment epitomises the artist’s quote that one day he will also sit in the audience as a mere spectator, and he should not be ashamed of his life’s journey. The final frame of the video brings the audience back to the atmosphere of the theatrical hall, which begins to come to life, and more and more people appear in it. At the same time, the Artist himself is walking to his audience here and now. And this journey does not end…

The first historical figure is not Genghis Khan but Abilay Khan. I got this from another commenter - "Abilay Khan (1711-1781): Khan (ruler) of the middle part of the Kazakh Khanate. He united all the Kazakh tribes making them a strong country. He is considered today as the father of Qazakhstan."

Omir Oter is about how fleeting life is; how one can leave his/her legacy to shape a nation (see the prominent historical Kazakh figures of the past in the video); how past, present and future are deeply connected; how one should strive to live life honorably and fulfill one’s dreams because life is short: it passes in a blink of an eye. It was brilliantly shown at the end of the video with all those faces from different walks of life. Dimash, as an old man, reflecting on his own life and legacy, has such a powerful impact. This song has a deep meaning and resonates with me on so many levels. Whenever I listen to that song, I feel emotional, on the verge of crying, but I also feel a sense of peace... Dimash has already left a mark in people’s heart. P.S.: Here’s the link to an article on Dimash official website on how the song came to be, as well as the vision behind the MV: en.dimashnews.com/omir-oter-ode-to-life/

It was written by Renat Gaissin following a conversation with his father and put on hold until he found someone he deemed capable of singing it with the conviction and intensity that he felt it required. The song warns people that life is short and we should strive to achieve our dreams while we can also encapsulating a saying from Dimash that one day he will leave the stage to sit amongst the audience and that he hopes at that point to have lived his life with enough dignity that he can look people in the eye without shame for previous behaviours. Please please do a reaction to Dimash's Ikanaide, the first time he has sung in Japanese.

Now Dimash is on the big stage of the beautiful Astana Opera House, opened in 2013. This beautiful opera house could have been Dimash's future had he accepted an offer of engagement from the director of the opera house in 2016. Luckily for us, he declined. The song has a deep meaning. Reflections on the transience of life, its meaning ... Everyone can understand this song, even without translation. Dimash sings it softly, a little sadly and also courageously and powerfully. I didn't even realize that you can also sing thoughtfully. At the end of the song, the Kobyz, a traditional Kazakh folk instrument, dominates, but also the original violin of all people. With its meaning and its very own sound, it mysteriously connects all people, all generations. Which singer in the western world brings such themes to the stages of the world and the people are entranced, listen attentively and enthusiastically. “The video shows people from different eras, legendary people who left a great legacy and young people of modern Kazakhstan who still have to go their own way and reach new heights, ”said Anna Oboyanskaya, the director. Then an old man walks through an empty auditorium. The viewer realizes this is Dimash - Dimash as an old man. One day the artist will sit in the auditorium like an ordinary spectator and will not be ashamed of his past life... (Dimashnews) * The composer Renat Gaissin said that this song has been waiting for its interpreter for 11 years. He wrote it when his father died ... And now it's played by his friend Dimash. Renat Gaissin arranged with Dimash and Erlan Bekchurin. “Talant Aryngali is one of the most popular modern poets and writes beautiful lyrics to many hits. We worked with him for two or three days on the song 'Omir Oter'. When he listened to me and Dimash, he was a really talented and wise word writer who put his heart and soul into this text, ”said Renat. Oh-meer Oh-tehr. This was filmed in the Astana Opera House in Kazakhstan. This is the home of the Opera company that offered him a position that he ultimately turned down. The Story of “Omir Oter” The author of the music Renat Gaisin enthusiastically recalls how he suddenly came up with the tune during a night ride around Almaty. He did not even have to write it down as it would regularly “remind” about itself in his head for several months. When asked what inspired Renat to create such a heartfelt piece, the musician immediately recalls his father and his words of wisdom. Ever since he was a child, he has taught his son that one day he would have to write something serious. Something that would reveal the composer’s true soul. According to Gaisin, “Omir Oter” did not come out until 2021 when it was finally released by Dimash Qudaibergen. The composer himself calls “Omir Oter” an ode to life. It’s an ode to the life of any person who at least once thought about the meaning of their existence. Renat created the music arrangement together with Dimash and Yerlan Bekchurin. For days, they were working in the studio, thinking over everything they wanted to put into the sound of the future song. The lyrics author of “Omir Oter” is famous Kazakh poet Talant Aryngali. “Talant is one of the most popular poets of our days, he has written loads of beautiful lyrics for songs that became hits. He and I worked on “Omir Oter” for two or three days. Talent, as a genius master of words, heard me and Dimash and put his heart and soul into the lyrics,” Renat shared. “Omir Oter” Music Video The video was made at the request of Khabar Agency. The unusual stringed instrument you hear here (at the end) is an ancient Turkish stringed instrument and is called Kobys or Kylkobyz in Kazakhstan. The Kyrgyz variant, for example, is called the kyl-kyyak. The Kobys is the oldest string instrument in the world and, according to a German scientist, it spread beyond the borders of the nomadic area of Central Asia and became the prototype of all European string instruments. (Turkic means: The Turkic peoples are a collection of ethnic groups from Central, East, North and West Asia as well as parts of Europe and North Africa who speak Turkic languages.) A legend about Kobyz says that this instrument was created by the great steppe narrator Korkyt-Ata, who lived in the 10th century and that the tool is charged with magical and even mystical properties and sounds like animal voices. In addition, the Kazakh people believed that the spirits of their ancestors spoke to them through this music. The old outlook and piety towards their instruments and music was constantly preserved in traditional Kazakh society and ensured the highest spiritual level of musical art and a special respectful attitude towards musical instruments. Simple people, for example, did not dare to touch the shaman's Kobyz. It is said: The balance between the courses of life and death on earth can be maintained by playing the Kobyz.

Your reaction was good, I loved Dimash’s incredible deep and intense message about life passing quickly, Yes, it’s nice to hear up-beat music, but life is filled with, and brings us a range of feelings, emotions. It’s about balance. I loved the overall message presented by,p lightning flash at the beginning, that symbolizes for me how small we are, and what can we leave behind in the flash of time we are here. Thank you. I noticed a big change in the background behind you..it’s a lot busier than the nice calming background you started with. Keep up the good work!

When I first watched Dimash, he was already far evolved beyond anyone I'd ever seen in his humble caring personality and his professionalism. So I respectfully disagree with what you said about Dimash's early appearances. You are talking about the multi-lingual, multi-instrumentalist in his early twenties Dimash, right? Oh, I just wanted to be clear. Thanks

How about 82’nd all the way with Mulan or Soldier of heaven with Lion King. So amazing done. And Evergrey just released brand new single Save us, an hour ago. A little rougher but with that Evergrey sound that i love. Hope to see you checking them out 🇸🇪😀
