Almost 20% of citizen in Kazakhstan do speak in 3 languages: Kazakh, Russian and English, the rest in 2 - Kazakh and Russian. Kazakhstan is multinational country with more than 120 ethnoces. Therefore this remains as a life request - 3 languages.

He can't speak English, which is his major problem. (he's gifted with everything else, the voice, the face, the height, stage presence....)But it is said that he is learning English and Chinese right now. Really hope you can react to his Confessa + the Diva Dance. I enjoy that performance a lot!

Luckily English is something that can be learned. All he needs to do is immerse himself with English Speakers consistently and he'll pick it up rather quickly.

For a Kazakh guy competing in a country where he couldn't speak the language, singing in yet another language that he also couldn't speak, he did ok! His English has improved a lot since then - more than my Kazakh, anyway!😉

iKETOURAGE, I'm in urgent need of answer to you. First - we Dimash's fans from Kazakhstan - thanks for your reaction. His voice not characterized as a tenor, it's something different, sorry don't remember. Voice of 5 oktaves wich he has, they say only one for hole world up to now. This's an uniqueness of his voice - outside of regular ranging. Thank you once again, have a good day,... night

I believe he was called a tenor altino in a Kazakh documentary. What counts as a true tenor?
@iKETOURAGE
@iKETOURAGE 7 лет назад
I always consider a "True Tenor" to be a male voice that is not only Bright/Light of a tenor. But also has the the upper range standard to be able to ascend up to at least A4 without heavy reliance of Falsetto/Head Voice consistently. There are many things that determine vocal fach but belting range and vocal weight are standard qualifications.
@zaursalahiddin794
@zaursalahiddin794 7 лет назад
You see, I have transferred only the Kazakhstani music masters conclusion on Dimash's voice. I do believe them. they say his voice even at the higher register remains rich tembrally and it's of 5 oktaves..

He doesn't speak English at all, and it's not because of accent, I believe he can overcome it easily(Kazakhs usually don't have strong english accent), he just didn't practice English, and thats biggest mistake of his managers.

He speaks very little English, and does need a pronunciation coach, but I gave him a pass because English is not his native language and his audience was an audience who probably either speak very little English or struggle with English pronunciation themselves and did not know the difference. If I were being hyper-critical I would say that a true master would work to perfect pronunciation regardless of his/her audience, but I am not hyper-critical.

Tottaly not fluent! Haha, thats his biggest problem. You can see the worst when he sang 'Show Must Go On' and 'Uptown Funk'. But yeah, however he placed 1st runner up in the finale tho.
