Hi dude, you can't even imagine what Dimash is capable to do with his voice. You've just pass through the heaven door. You never have heard and you'll never hear a voice as Dimash's. He is phenomenal. More than 6 octaves of range, he sings in 12 languages, plays on 7 instruments, unique alien technic of singing, mixing all music styles /pop, opera, folk, R&B, rock.../. The man and woman are not his parents. They are the Chinese hosts of this 2017 Chinese TV show ‘I Am Singer’.His dad WAS in the audience. They only invite professional, chart topping singers and had never before invited a non-Asian singer. Dimash is from Kazakhstan. He was invited as a wildcard entry as they had heard OF him and probably thought he would help ratings. He did. He finished second to, Sandy Lam, a Chinese woman with 30 yrs as a professional singer. Dimash was still 22. He would have won but he got a throat infection around the middle of the competition (a doctor told him no high notes which he ignored) which affected his later performances somewhat. If he had finished even one place higher on just one song after this, he would have won. He had just learned how to say the words of 4 English songs he sang and can now sing English much better. He now can sing in 12 languages. He is BEYOND phenomenal!! Having been born in 1950, and having a brother 9 years older, I’ve been listening to music for around 65 years. Dimash is, by far, the GREATEST SINGER I HAVE EVER HEARD. I saw that you reacted to Confessa/Diva Dance and thought that he was pretty damn good. This was after his throat issue. Dimash was invited as a wild card experiment entree.....the only non Chinese here then. He was 22, now 26. He STUNNED China and everyone on the show woth this performance. This is the ICONIC performance that catapulted Dimash onto world stage fame. He is considered the best singer/vocalist on earth currently.

"The Singer" is an annual Chinese TV show for highly respected Chinese singers to compete. Dimash was the only non Chinese singer invited because the producer saw him perform for the Chinese and Kazakh presidents and was very impressed. He is from Kazakhstan is 6ft 3 in. and was the youngest ever competitor in 2017 at only 22 years old. Because of his age and the fact he was a wild card selection, he was asked to perform first. No pressure!! To add to the complexity, he sang SOS in French! The audience went wild for him! When the show was broadcast that night on TV to approximately 600 million Chinese households he had to have bodyguards the next morning for the first time in his life as he had become a superstar overnight in China. He is now a world class artist and just turned 26 on the 24th of May. His tour of the world to sold out arenas with his solo concerts was placed on hold until next year due to Covid-19. He also performs in concerts with the famous Russian composer Igor Krutoy, and is constantly collecting awards, attends many prestigious red carpet events, film festivals and even models for lots of high end fashion houses. He is university trained in Classical opera vocals to degree level, also holds a degree in contemporary pop music and jazz with a major in vocals, and now has finished his master degree in music composition with a top mark of 100%. He has been having singing lessons from the age of 5 when his teacher noticed he had perfect pitch . He was offered a place at the Astana Opera in Kazakhstan but turned it down for a more contemporary musical career. He is a multi instrumentalist, more than 8 instruments and also sings in 12 different languages and has a range of over 6 octaves from a low bass A2 to a high soprano, plus a whistle register with his highest note so far being a 5 second D8 with vibrato. He is widely recognized as the best vocalist in the world. He speaks fluent Kazakh and Russian, is studying English and Mandarin and has conversational skills in both but not quite fluent yet. If you watch Opera 2 (which is not opera!) you will see Dimash's father in the audience; he came to the show as a surprise for Dimash. Both parents are musicians, and they often travel with Dimash. His father is also very involved in the business side of this musical journey. Dimash is from Kazakhstan, a country that is bordered on the north by Russia.

Within 17 hours of this performance being shown on Chinese TV it had just over 600 MILLION views on Chinese social media... I saw him in New York last fall, it was an amazing 2 and a half hour show, and I have 5th row tickets to see him live in Dusseldorf Germany early next year. This man is simply a vocal genius. In all my 67 years on this planet I've never heard anything like him before.

I’m just wondering how much effort and strength Dimash had invested into it and to reach such a powerful voice and the many other talents that he had. Indeed it is really a great work. How he was able to develop such a heights of his talents is really admirable and worth learning. And it is much more beautiful because he sang it by heart, naturally and at his heart’s content with joyful disposition. SONG OF DIMASH IN FRENCH “S.O.S D’UN TERRIEN EN DETRESSE” (Ester Rabi’s Commentary & Reflection on this song (Ref CCC): I like this music because it reminds me the Truth, Realities and Precariousness of Human Life particularly Suffering and Death) STORY BEHIND THE SONG : The song is from French Rock Opera called Starmania. Originally it was sung by Daniel Balavoine who had a sudden death in a helicopter accident in 1986, who is known of his beautiful voice. Later, it was covered by Gregory Lemarchal, a young French singer who inspired Dimash to sing “SOS d'un terrien en detresse” who at all odds won the 4th series Reality TV Program Star Academy, despite his failing health and became an overnight success in France but had a shorter career, for he died young with his unusual illness of Cystic Fibrosis in 2007 at the age of 23. Recently it was unbelievably covered by Dimash and from time to time Dimash sung it in memory of his great friend Denis Ten an Olympic figure skater from Kazakhstan who was stabbed after a dispute with people who allegedly tried to steal a mirror from his car in his home city of Almaty. He died of massive blood loss from multiple wounds at the age of 25 in 2018. “S.O.S D’UN TERRIEN EN DETRESSE” means in a sad lyrics says … “a soul’s plea for help or an earthly being in distress” because it is a human being who is in anguish searching for the absolute. Suffering and death is one of the realities of human life. It is important that we should know the basic truth about it, so that it will not cause us fear and distress in our human life’s , but rather to remind us all of our ultimate destiny as people of faith. For me, there are 3 kinds of suffering we experienced in life: 1st suffering that God allows, 2nd suffering which is the results of our own choices and decisions and 3rd is the suffering which is cause by other people to us. In whatever forms of suffering we are experiencing, know that, if it is discerned well it will gain us eternal merit. Note that, it is not important how much and how long we suffer, or who cause us to suffer, but how is our attitude towards it when it comes into our life…? All of these three can be an opportunity of grace that we will grow in virtue, when we accept it with humility, discernment and faith in God. Our usual human tendency is, if we can, we try to avoid any kind of pain and suffering in our life. However we can’t deny also that life is mixed up of many learning experiences both in joys and in difficulties and I supposed we need it both, because it contributes and helps us mature and grow in many aspects of life. Suffering and death may seem contrary to our own human thinking or world’s way of thinking but in it, there’s a certain wisdom which is richer and deeper that no one can fully understand. Suffering reminds us the real fact that we are all fragile human beings; that we are limited and we are not God. Sufferings are human reality and consequences of sin that affects us all. It helps us see the real worth and value of things and meaning in life. Likewise, if we are open to grace it helps us become vulnerable, sensitive and compassionate to others. It sharpens our awareness that this earth is not our permanent and true home. The hope of heaven gives us joy even in the sufferings of this life. In God’s plan, human beings were created for holiness and eternal life with him. But through the original sin that enters human lives, our nature has been wounded, and is now subject to suffering and death. This was not part of God’s original plan, but now is already part of our human lives reality. Death for us is a frightening mystery because we are being stripped off of all our attachments to this world; our body lies corrupt; our immortal soul goes to meet the Lord. We will see the whole truth of our lives, and we will face God’s judgment. Death creates in us a feelings and emotion of fear, separation, sadness and pain. Many times we evade this reality and we try to question and even argue with God why…? But all our efforts failed because whether we like it or not at the end, we all die. Death comes in our life anytime anywhere. No material things, good health, young age can guarantee of its extension. The truth is… in front of death we are all poor and powerless. If this life were the only one we had, death would definitely be the great tragedy. But In God’s plan, however, death is not the end of everything, but the border that enables every human being to enter the endless place of eternity. For all those who have done their best to respond to God’s grace, to die is to cross from an imperfect type of existence into a new and fuller life lived in God’s presence. Often we feel the greatest misfortunes, when death struck in a person, depriving him or her greatest treasures a person can possess which is life itself. This is the first episode of a Chinese singing competition called « The Singer 2017 ». Famous Chinese singers compete against each other. Dimash was relatively unknown at the time, but the producer had heard that he was winning all the contests in Kazakhstan, so they brought him in as a wild card. He was first to go on stage, and the people in the yellow rooms are his competitors. Needless to say, they quickly understood that they were in trouble. Overnight Dimash became a popular famous and popular celebrity that needed bodyguards to move around his China. This was nearly four years ago. Dimash has moved on and has grown as an international artist.. He's had concerts in China, Russia, London, NY, Belarus, Ukraine, Latvia, etc......so far every concerts of his has been sold out concerts......even his remaining five concerts that had to be postponed to 2021....some of those has been sold out in advance.
As you must know now, this is the famous International Talent Show in China 🇨🇳 for established Singers. Dimash started their from Kazakhstan 🇰🇿...there are other Amazing Vocal Artists who participated like Terry Lin from Taiwan 🇹🇼 and Polina Gagarina (Cuckoo)from Russia 🇷🇺 and KZ Tandigan from the Philippines 🇵🇭 Singing “Royals”.
Wowww.. thanks for your reaction of Dimash. You definitely need to check out SINFUL PASSION, OGNI PIETRA (OLIMPICO) and ADAGIO. You would love him - definitely the best voice in the world today !!!!!!! He also sings some rap and pop, plays many instruments and loves MJ.
