ВО ВРЕМЯ ПРОСМОТРА молчал, слушал внимательно, на каждую смену голосов поглядывал на невидимого нам Рикки, находящегося в комнате, взглядом как бы говоря: «ну, что я тебе говорил?», иногда охал и вздыхал, уточнял на клавишных спетую ноту, на большом финальном вокализе закрыл лицо руками. Чтобы вы чувствовали выступление каждого артиста, которого должны смотреть, каждого певца. Этот парень выходит, и у него есть ТАКОЕ присутствие, о котором мы говорили раньше. Я чувствую каждое слово Димаша, он делает каждое слово важным, каждую строчку. (При подготовке) он (Димаш) думает: «как я это буду петь, что я передам через это, что я буду делать? Здесь я собирают отразить это, здесь дам вибрато, крещендо». А затем он складывает это все вместе. И у него есть эта удивительная способность сделать всё безупречно. Его диапазон нереален, он был такой высокий! Кто поет, используя четыре с половиной октавы в одной песне? As a professional, we know what a jewel this guy is. We were better storytellers once upon a time, and more musically educated. Dimash arranges his own works or rearranges covers to tell a story in a most exquisite way. The number of demos that hit the can in 30 seconds because of a lack of structure is stunning. It's the words boys, it's the story. I don't care if you have a great hook, that's BS. I would have flown across an ocean to represent this man in a second. He rearranged Lionel Richie's, Hello... Dimash attracts people not only for his talent, but also his character and humility. You can tell from his interviews that he's an avid reader, a student of everything, and though he is aware of his immense talent, he sees it as a responsibility to maximize it and to represent Kazakhstan well. I'm so excited for you as you have just had a taste. There is so much more to Dimash than what you've seen, in terms of range (his highest recorded LIVE note is a D8), genre (opera, rock, etc), and emotions that he wants to invoke from each of his masterpieces. And that's what they are. I knew I was watching greatness the first time I saw him perform.
I am very happy that more people in the US are starting to appreciate Dimash. But most importantly, I'm happy that professional people like yourself now know about Dimash's amazing talent. Dimash has mastered making you feel the song he is singing. He becomes the song! In an interview with Dimash's father Kanat, he said, "In creativity, Dimash is very meticulous. I was at his concert in St. Petersburg ... the most unforgettable event in my life ... now I understand that there is no ears to hear his voice, his voice penetrates the body and resonates so that I could not calm my knees, they vibrated . And before I stumbled on Dimash I tended to "enjoy the silence" quite a lot rather than listening to music. And then Dimash came along... For 1,5 years now I have listened to him every (and you know I mean EVERY... ) day. At least before I fall asleap and most lightly a couple of times during the day aswell. For me are 3 songs which impresses me more. Two of them are written for him according his talent and vocal abilities. "Passione" and "Ogni Pietra"." Know" is also remarkable song, there he uses a lot of improvisation and plays with his voice.
DAWG! I’ve been waiting, checking RU-vid every day to see if you had reacted to this. I loved how real, how thoughtful, and how analytical your 1st two reactions were. Thank you so much. I really appreciate the fact that during the first half of this song you were dialed in, but like OK, I’ve seen him do this and do that. I kept saying to myself “wait for the Soprano Break” because you hadn’t really seen him do that before, and then the Hammer Vibrato and the high E. I also love how that descending run snatched you right up out of whatever you were thinking/feeling and brought you back present. I saw you replaying the scale trying to figure out what it was because the key had changed. Anyway, thanks again. Game recognize game, love the way you keep it real. You gotta watch either “Know” or “Hello” to see him scat sing/improvise and then maybe “Love of Tired Swans” because that’s different than everything else too. And of course “Ogni Pietra” which is more Opera/Classical in nature.

Mr. Harris, hello! Hope you and all your loved ones are well. What looks like DUMAW on those signs is Cyrillic (Russian) for Dimash "Димаш". My next recommendation would be for the lyric video, Dimash singing "Across Endless Dimensions". He doesn't get stratospheric until the very end, but when he does, he sounds like an electric guitar.
I don't believe anyone will listen to SOS... will be impressed by his talent... will call him freak of nature... then will not listen to any other performance one month? If you are in music world, no way. I bet you watched all of his performances that night. :)
I do that, though. Sometimes I listen to Di and take a break before I listen to anything new. Like, I watched We Are One and only today I finally listened to Across Endless Dimensions. My heart and brain needed a break, Diko is too good, and I love him so much, it hurts.

You just have to watch this video, on a $3,000 MacBook Pro, and McIntosh headphones, to appreciate the production and quality of your videos. As for Dimash, Im glad you are reacting to his better performances. Both SOS and Sinful Passion, are amazing, they are just older videos of his performances. This is what he was doing, 2-3 years ago. That one sign you saw was Dimash's name spelled in Cirillic. At the end he sang on one breath for 22 seconds and the man in the white shirt standing is his dynamic partner now, Maestro Igor Krutoy who has already composed 3 new songs and reworked other songs just for Dimash's talents.
You said this is excellent, this is nothing when you watch him live. The experience is ethereal beyond description. At time I thought I levitate and he brought somewhere where i thought does not exist. He is like a sorcerer every words, gaze, body language, hands movement mesmerized and you dont have a chance. Hola, otra de las canciones que deberías escuchar es Ogni Pietra, Love Is Like a Dream, Daybreak, The Love Of Tired Swans, son canciones maravillosas y magníficamente interpretada por este bello "Príncipe Kazajo, de ojos que embruja y voz que encanta", esta es mi mejor descripción de él, por que simplemente te atrapa con su dulce voz, el encanto y magia de sus interpretaciones, que hace que te emociones hasta las lágrimas sin entender ni una sola palabra, él solo trasmite, emoción y pasión. Debes saber además, que estudia canto desde los 5 años (y tiene 25), su mamá dijo en una entrevista que él trabajó muy duro para tener este amplio rango de voz, nunca faltó a una clase y bueno ahi están los frutos de su esfuerzo. Canta en 9 idiomas, toca 7 instrumentos, es egresado de la Universidad Nacional de las Artes de Kazakh de la Facultad de Arte Pop. Es una persona muy profesional y preparada, es un gran ejemplo para las nuevas generaciones de cantantes...solo el esfuerzo y trabajo dan frutos y seguro que él debe seguir estudiando para seguir mejorando o manteniendo su calidad vocal. Deberías escucharlo cantar junto a sus padres, ellos son cantantes muy reconocidos en su país y tienen voces hermosas. Deberías ver también el video oficial de Screaming, tiene unos coros y arreglos fabulosos... como verás me encanta Dimash 😊😊😊.....

You nailed it, except for the bowtie= because Dimash would look good in Anything !! Oh and when you said he had every word planned out, I think he goes as far as to have every syllable planned out. They do say he goes over and over his performances before ever coming out on the stage. His performances from I Am Singer 2017 are his most intense as he was fighting for the top prize and really pulled out all the stops performance wise= emotionally, visually and vocally. It was a competition show like the voice. I get the most "feels" from those performances. I think he lives, eats, and breathes music--- and wouldn't have it any other way. Much to our advantage !!!!! Technically impossible. Stylistically impeccable. Creatively original. Just WOW. When you see and hear stuff like Dimash's performance here all you really can do is just shake your head and laugh out of pure amazement. THIS is the reaction Dimash's performance deserved. But that bowtie, lol ...
Every single one of his performances is an experience! He actually does go note for note & figure out how he wants to sing it prior to the performance. Even with the SOS song that you reacted to in your 2nd Dimash video. There are multiple videos of him performing that song & each time he sings it slightly different! I've been watching dozens upon dozens of Professional Vocal Coaches, Singers, Producers, etc reacting & analyzing his performances, & all of them constantly mention how Dimash manages to do something new & different in each performance that surprises them, even when they come into it thinking that there's nothing else he can possibly do, yet he still finds a way! You said you weren't impressed with that native folk song that you reacted to for your 1st initial Dimash reaction. However, if you continue going through all of his performances, & then revisit that song later on down the line, I think that you'll be able to appreciate it more because of how different the styles & contrasts are! A year or two ago, he came out with his own pop song & music video. The song is called SCREAMING & it's actually quite catchy & good! If you want to see how he changes up his songs for each performance, check out the music video for SCREAMING followed by the same song from the IDOL HITS PERFORMANCE! I think it'll surprise, nay, shock you on how he changed it up!
For these song he invited the original band who wrote the song in the 80S, the lead vocal died tragically, the melisma he song in the midlle is an ancient ritual for the dead.
You would love Ogni Pietra (Kazan 2019)! Intense, energetic, and written specifically for him to perform for opening of the European olympics last year! It was composed by Igor Krutoy, the guy in the white shirt who stands up in the audience. P.S. that was a 23 second run at the end there, one of his longest ever held notes- there's an awesome compilation video of a bunch of those too :)
