Thank you for the great reaction and comments! I saw an assortment of videos surrounding this song. Dimash was extremely happy. Huge smiles, laughing. I am assuming that he is delighted to be back performing. Even with out much of an audience

Elizabeth great reaction to Dimash new song. He has so many colours in his voice in this song from breathy tone, metal growl, rock belting, jazz run and opera soprano. Probably more than 4 genres in one song. As for the voice? Silky smooth golden, so smooth with no single kinks on it even an angel will slip.
I'd forgotten how lovely Dimash is 💞 Give Dirty Loops a listen! "Rock you", "Work Shit out" or "Breakdown". I just found them today, they are amazing!! 3 world class instrumentalists, one of which is an AMAZING vocalist!
Dimash needs our help! The song he submitted to MTV's youtube channel for its Friday livestream shows has been voted up to #2 by viewers for the past three weeks in a row. We can help get him to #1 if we tune into the livestream when it is playing in each of our time zones (5-8pm New York time, Fridays only) and type the words REQUEST DIMASH as many times as possible in the chat next to the video stream. Twitter and Instagram users can vote for Dimash during the week by using the correct format as described in a short youtube video called "Wanna See Dimash on MTV livestream?"
@@rebeccavandam2834 Qairan Elim. It doesn't really fit the MTV format because it is so much more artistic and creative than most of the teen pop they play on that show. That being said they do play a lot of international artists singing in their own languages and I give them credit for that. The host has also recorded an interview with Dimash that should be airing soon. I think he would already have reached number one if the submitted song had been "Screaming," "Across Endless Dimensions," "Give Me Your Love," or the music video of "Love of Tired Swans." Those would have been more appropriate for the show's format but I still think we can get "Elim" to #1 if enough of us participate. Americans and other westerners deserve to know about Dimash.
@@gdouglas999 thanks. You are probably right in your analysis about what songs would be better for MTV I love the song he choose. But then, I have never watched MTV. The swan video is pretty interesting especially when someone explains the directors inspiration which I did not learn input until late on. But it’s one of Dimash’s dreams to have an international hit in the KZ language preferably a Grammy I would love for one of his own compositions to have that honor!
@@rebeccavandam2834 Yes, I share Dimash's dream with him but I am not convinced MTV is the vehicle he needs. It's audience seems to be mostly teenage girls looking for 14 year old boy bands doing K-pop. I think "Elim" is way too complicated for most of them and that the success in the voting is primarily the result of Kazak and Russian Dears staying up for three hours in the middle of their night to do the voting. We need more voting from Dears in the US, Europe and Asia to knock off the boy band who has occupied the number one spot on that show for about 12 weeks in a row. Let's get Dimash to #1 and keep him there! It would be a step in the right direction anyway.
@@gdouglas999 I think the fact that it was such a high-quality, heavy song makes it even more incredible that it has reached no. 2 by now! The Dears must be working like donkeys :)) I admit, I had no time for hours of copy/paste .... this last Friday, otherwise Dimash would have reached no. 1 already:)
Remarkable commentary, thank you very much! This is the holiday of life in pandemic time. The holiday with Dimash and Igor Krutoi after nine month of silence

Hi Elizabeth, on Dimash's Instragram account, he repeatedly mentioned that he misses his Dears very much. The rest is up to everbody to interprete as it pleases :)) Love your sensitive, professional analysis, as usual. Cheers from Vienna!
I love the way you say "Welcome back to The Charismatic Voice and another Dimash Monday". If ever a speaking voice deserved the description "mellifluous", it is yours. This makes me happy, as "melliflous" is such a great word, fun to say, and is far too rarely used.
Dimash plans everything down to the finest detail, he doesn't need help from anyone. He always listen to any advice offered, but generally goes his own way as ge is probably more experienced and higher in education to any of them, but he is very respectful and pays attention. You forget he has been performing since he was 5 😁💖
I would bet he is able to "see" the sounds and shape them with his hands and body movement...well, not shape the actual sound (at least not primarily) but shape the space around. (it makes sense in my head, anyway). #ElizabethZharoff your reaction, as always, was top notch.
Ty Dear E ...another on point analysis Dimash was smoldering w/ sensuality 🔥 (he’s growing up) Almost NINE months since DK on stage ... he seems happy (& better actually) 🖤 Also, you’re right he dedicated this 2 his Dears❣️ ME (😳) when I saw notification DK’s RU-vid channel of new video (LOL) ✌🏼❤️ - 🇺🇸Dear

Are you guys ready for his digital concert show soon? He just posted the instruction for ticket already. He makes it very affordable for Dears ! Got my ticket already. So exicted!
who else should he miss?! LOL! the poor guy has a 20-hour work day, guess there is no time for any other than his work (also during the lock down) and the Dears :))
Oh! just so you know and for future, Ruxanda Translations channel already has a translated version on her channel. She translates most all of his interviews too. She does super work.
Dimash is blurring the lines between vocal styles, genres, and registers. That run was also my favorite part of the performance. I'm waiting for him to sing jazz..
This is the closest I've seen to him singing jazz: a Chinese New Year’s performance called ‘Extraordinary’, with Dimash, Jam Hsaio and Tia Ray (two friends he made whilst on Singer 2017): ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-673WBhBwpoE.html
@@BelleNewman Thank you for sharing this. The song did have a jazzy structure and at the beginning Dimash stayed stayed within it fairly well, though the lady singer was doing most of the jazzy vocalizing. At the end Dimash just went all classical on us! 🤣 I guess it's the scatting and other such jazz techniques that I'm thinking about, especially if Dimash was to do a solo song where he explores the style and comes up with something just by himself.
Lyrics are (It's my own translation, so plz sorry for my Еnglish): 'On the sunset shore is the place of our meeting, and a flock of birds is circling over the shore. It’s like the first time I’m standing here on the beach, but I don’t know. Where are you, who are you with? I miss you, your eyes and your smile. And here, for evil fate, I will come again to wait for our meeting. For someone it is so easy, for me it is so difficult to start my life from scratch. I can't do that. Here on the shore, believing and loving, I will wait for you. Where are you, who are you with? I miss you, your eyes and your smile. And here, despite fate, I will come again to wait for our meeting. On the sunset coast, the place of our meeting. On the sunset shore, I miss you.'
Hello Dear Elizabeth great to see again in a brand new song by Dimash❤❤❤❤👑 You can find the translationof this song in Ruxanda channel. Big hug from Brazil to you 🌹🌹
I'd like to offer some PURE speculation on this song. Although Dimash added those vocal flourishes only he can, I thought the main body of the song otherwise confined within a conspicuously narrow voice span, meaning narrow for Dimash. :D I have a theory about that. Dimash ADORES having the audience sing with him. Maybe he asked Igor for a song where the Dears could really let loose?
I thought about that too...😄 The day when he premiered the song on his channel he was also performing at the Song Of The Year that night and instantly asked Dears to sing along with him to this song. They had to learn in such a short amount of time lol
Ok elizabeth....see now this is called perfect pick......can make out by your thumbnail....the expressions are going to be awesome.......dimash never fails to make you smile....or shocked
I have to say after all this time watching dimash, there's one very tiny thing I've come to love. I love the way he holds his mic farther away for his higher notes both belted mix and falsetto. For me, its just not something seen so often these days. But it definitely shows just how much power he has within his voice ❤💙💛💜💚
You commented on Dimash using so many styles in his music...that is exactly why he didn't join an opera , he said he wanted to try different styles. Great eaction again.
My favorite Krutoy-Dimash collaborations are the big theatrical pieces. Give me the full choir on stage, the skilled orchestra, Krutoy's concert grand, drama, build-up, smashing climaxes, beautiful denouements. Can't get enough! This isn't that. 'I Miss You' is Russian pop. It's *good* Russian pop, mind you, with the added bonus of Dimash's extraordinary vocals, fully exploited. And it's pop that doesn't quite conform to radio's rules, too. The up-front hook and constant dynamic energy are missing. But the synthesized lows, and the melodic styling, are solidly in the pop genre. They can't have a real theatrical production, so they did this. The pandemic placed constraints on this song. They'll use it for a New Year's celebration, it'll get radio play, it'll serve as filler on an album, it'll please Dears the world over. A good day's work! Or more like a week, probably. Who does Dimash miss? I can't tell from the subtitles. After RU-vid got their algorithmic mitts on your upload, the captions are totally washed out. Can't read 'em. I'm forced to speculate, until the lyrics become accessible to English-speakers. So, my speculation: knowing Igor a little bit, it's probably multi-layered. Dimash misses a lover. Dimash misses his audience. In a way that only stage art can pull off, both are one and the same. He's singing to a person. That person is us. At least, that's my guess. Dimash's songs are usually intimate; he connects with the audience and pours out his heart to them. I felt he was doing that in this song, too. I can't get over just how flexible and precise Dimash's runs are, even when he is moving through them at warp speed. Insane!
You checked out Leprous and liked them, so I think you should check out their latest single "Castaway angels". It's amazing, and he really displays his impressive vocal prowess. Just an amazing, beautiful song that i thoroughly recommend everyone check out!
in case no one has posted them yet, someone posted them on my dimash reaction to this, loved this song EkbMetro - viewer who posted in my comments English lyrics (Approximate translation) On the sunset shore the place of our meeting, And a flock of birds is circling over the shore. It's like the first time I'm standing now Here on the shore, but I can't know - Where are you? Who are you with? Chorus: I miss you (I miss) your eyes and your smile And here in spite of fate I will come again to wait for our meeting. It's so easy for someone, it's so hard for me Start your life from scratch ... I can't do this ... here on the shore Believing and loving, I will wait for you. Where are you? Who are you with? Chorus: I miss you (I miss) your eyes and your smile And here in spite fate I will come again to wait for our meeting. Our meeting place is on the sunset coast. On the sunset shore I miss you.
I think what blows my mind the most isn’t his crazy range. It’s that I’ve never heard him struggle, run out of breath, or seem to actually hit the actual limit of his voice. He’s so composed and in control every moment, or that’s what it seems to my untrained ears. He gives me goosebumps in every single song.

Judging from what you've seemed to genuinely like so far, I'm guessing you'll really enjoy her. Best wishes and holiday cheer!
Finally, a comment on Dimash having the opportunity to perform for a live audience. This clip was only one of several performances during the past weekend and although this one only had a bare bones crew, there was one with a proper big audience as well. This is what Dimash ha d to say about the experience (on Dimashnews.com): "On December 5, the traditional “Song of the Year” festival was held at the VTB Arena in Moscow. The legendary festival, which began back in the 70s, this year became a big and long-awaited holiday for all artists and their fans. This is the first large-scale concert in Russia since the lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic. According to DimashNews, that evening Dimash performed three songs: “Where love lives”, “Your Love” and the new “I miss you”, causing a stunning reaction from his fans. It was clear that the artist and Dears missed each other very much. The Kazakhstani singer felt an unprecedented surge of strength when he appeared before the audience after a long break. “What I am now experiencing is a feeling of unprecedented euphoria. These are the moments when it would be appropriate to say the phrase “words cannot convey.” I haven’t appeared on stage in 9 months, and therefore I am incredibly happy to perform again in front of an audience, especially during this difficult period. Thank you for coming to support me. I love everyone and miss you very much!”
Hi Elizabeth, this was a Beautiful performance and I Loved your reaction & analysis! It has been a while since Dimash performed on stage and the time away has made his singing prowess even more dramatic and powerful in this song. He had so much vocal diversity and dynamics (Classical, R&B and Pop) that he has truly become, "The Master of his Voice." Thank You, Elizabeth, for another Dimash Monday!
