The best thing about Dimash is he is the NICEST guy in the world. He has no ego. When asked about it in an interview he said his parents taught him to be humble and appreciate his fans, because his fans are the reason he sings. He is also dedicated to always do his best for the audience. There are singers in the world that can do some of the things he does. But there is NO singer that can do everything he does ! Great, honest reaction. With Dimash, you think you've seen his whole tool kit and you have him pegged, and then in each new song he surprises you yet again. Gotta re-recommend Marcelito Pomoy's cover of, The Prayer, on Wish. One of the few other artists that can provide Dimash like shock the first time. and Disturbed's original cover of, The Sound of Silence, Video or Live on Conan. They are the ones that came up with the unique arrangement that has been covered so often by others, and personally I find David Draiman's vocals have a passion and power that I find lacking in the other covers. Also AGT and Swedish idol alum Chris Klafford does really beautiful acoustic covers of Imagine, Girls Just Want To Have Fun (Duet) and Ocean Eyes, in his kitchen, (Called the Kitchen Covers). Just pure and elegant singing and lovely guitar work.

hello. watching your fourth video and i like it, nice job. i'm watched Dimash's videos a thousand times, so may i give you advice? if you want to continue to be surprised then you should watch his performances step by step. you know what i mean? not audition from 2018, after - from 2017, then again from 2018, etc. you should start from chinese "I am Singer" (check list on Dimash's wiki page). couple words about few auditions from there: «The show must go on» - don't make high expectations, because the performance was average. Dimash said he didn't like it; «Uptown funk» - don't expect anything at all, because here he rests and relaxes. just dance with him :) «Daybreak» - he got sick, so if you want to listen "clean" and great version - welcome to Bastau 2017; «Daididau» - please, don't miss this video. if you really like what Dimash does and you want to thank him in some way - watch this. this is part of the history of his country. it's important to him. the other version is also great - Daididau, Bastau 2017; «The diva dance» - after watching this version, you can already move on to the other, much better and more beautiful: Bastau version (yeah, again Bastau :D) after all perfomances on the Singer in 2017 you should watch «Hello» (version from Singer, but 2018) and «Unforgettable Day», Gakku(!). and Dimash has another version "the diva dance" with Li Yugang (Shanghai Spring Festival Gala) - after all of the above you can move on to this audition, watch this and you won't be disappointed ) there are a lot of cool performances and great concerts, but I think that's the way to start. this is the basics, I think. since now you can watch any video with Dimash - Ogni Pietra, Your Love, Samaltau, Sinful Passion (yeah, only now. and for me, Moscow concert version much better). but of course you can choose your way, it's your decision, I tried to help) anyway, good luck with all this and sorry for my bad english, im from russia) have a good day, bye)

It is recommended to watch the videos till the end. In this video, his father surprised him and they had a very emotional meeting. Dimash was all alone in China and missed his family very much. Also, he seems to you very confident on stage but off the stage he is a very humble person. He kept asking his father how he performed, he was very concerned about that. The reason people love him so much goes beyond his phenomenal talent, he is a great and sensitive person as well, and you can feel it through his performances. And although he can hit higher notes, he is really not about that. There are many songs in which he doesn't go high at all, and they are among my favorite. Personally, this song is fun, but SOS is the song that I believe that for him (and certainly for me), is the true masterpiece which he performs in all his concerts. This song is just for pure entertainment, he was asked to perform it to demonstrate his range, while SOS has deep emotional, existential meaning and is a much more complex composition musically, vocally, emotionally and in terms of lyrics. The vocal abilities it requires is much more than Opera 2 because the transitions he makes there are much more difficult both in terms of registers, genres and styles of singing. I suggest to react to Samaltau from the Tokyo Jazz Festival 2020 - his true soul can be found in his Kazakh songs.

I think you showed the video where at the end they reveal to him his dad hiding in the audience, having flown in from Kazakhstan, but you stopped it right before that happened. It was such a sweet moment when he spotted his dad, almost ran to hug him, and then asked his dad if he sang well! I hope you go back to see if that's on that video.
