Oh I was hoping you would do this song. The amount of emotion he poured into this vocal is gut wrenching. Tears fill my eyes every time I hear it. It can not be any other way. Dimash sings with his whole soul, and you feel it. He exposes his entire heart. The picture behind Dimash is of Kenes Duisekeev. This is his professor, a revered composer of whom he he studied composition from at university, Dimash asked and was granted special permission to sing this song for his teacher on his 70th birthday. To quote Kenes Duisekeev, "Dimash finished his singing. Without realizing it, I got up from my seat. I called him, "Dimash, come here, dear, come here! " and hugged him. I hugged him and said, "My dear, God gave you not only a voice, but also a heart, and most importantly, a mind". I didn't expect that a young boy who was not yet 20 years old would be able to understand the depth of this song, its philosophical depth. But in fact, he realized my idea exactly the way I always dreamed of." Dimash took all the love and the grief he felt from this loss of his mentor and poured it into this song. While Dimash didn’t write it, but did change arrangement in lieu his profound sadness. Dimash originally sang "Karagym-ai" Mar-2916 at a 70th Birthday concert of “Kenes Duisekeev”. Kenes, worried Dimash couldn’t convey emotions needed given his young age. But, was overwhelmed w/ joy after Dimash performed (loudly applauding & saying BRAVO).
