More movie details: (1) The three (children) and the two boys disputed the girl's attention; (2) The character (which Dimash represents as an adult) created a symbol to confirm friendship between the three, after being saved by his friend; (3) Still in the video we see the girl choose "Dimash" and then they get married and have the little girl (who was killed) as a daughter and the mother is pregnant with another boy; (4) The older boy (who saved "Dimash" from drowning) does not accept being abandoned by the girl and becomes a dictator president/general; (5) Dimash becomes a soldier who decides to return from combat to protect his war refugee family; (6) Dimash finds his daughter dead and thinks that his wife had also died, so he decides to take revenge on his friend; (7) He kills the dictator and is killed regretting the violence he committed in life; (8) Dimash's wife is welcomed by people of different religions who agree that Dimash's son is someone special; (9) The wife dies in childbirth and Dimash's son becomes a leader who leads the refugees to a better place, of tolerance, respect and acceptance.

When I first watched this MV, it broke me, I became very emotional, it was heart wrenching, to say the least! 😢 Have you noticed that Dimash is the main solder right from the very beginning of the war scene, when he was walking under the overpass, and also when he was shot in the arm, many people miss that? Dimash has worked very hard for 3 years composing the music for this song, and around 20 days to make this MV. It turned out to be his most valuable MV, in the ideological sense, ever made, a real Masterpiece! I believe that Dimash deserves THE NOBEL PEACE PRIZE for his selfless hard work and tireless efforts, not only for this MV, but for trying to bring the world together in love, peace, and harmony. He is a Legend and will go down in History. This is my breakdown of the story, as I see it: This mini movie is full of symbolisms, it's the story of 3 youths, and the necklace which was created by the young Dimash and shared with his friends symbolizing lifelong friendship and unity. The boys both loved the same girl, but she loved Dimash, and the other boy grew resentment with time and grew up to become the Piper and started a war, using the symbol of the necklace as the crest on his army uniform. 1) Dimash, was the boy drowning at the beginning and at the end. 2) The Piper, is the one who saved Dimash, became the leader, and was killed by Dimash at the end. 3) The young girl, who died in childbirth, became Dimash’s future wife, had two children together; a daughter who was killed by the Piper's army; and the birth of a son at the end, who inherited the necklace from his mother…, they were all affected by the war. For the symbolic aspects, Dimash is showing the different cultures and religions (Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Hindi, etc.), through throat singing, which is called the REQUIEM (mass for the souls of the dead), from different religions. Dimash premiered this epic song live in Almaty last September--even before revealing the film the following night at the Dears meet-and-greet-- and there is no way to convey the shock and awe in that stadium of 35,000 stunned fans, with the three gigantic screens behind him showing beautiful and brutal images. At the end, on his knees, he literally left the microphone on the stage and walked away, totally drained. You must now watch that performance!

To me, it feels as though human kind has endured this type of cruelty since the dawn of time. Dimash's message is intense, overwhelming. I have come to look forward to your reviews as you appreciate and feel the elegant subtleties and sublime vocals of DQ deeply. Just wish the volume on the music was a bit higher. 🙆🏻‍♀ That is the baby son grown up at the end as the shepherd - DQ plays himself and his son grown up. The baby and as the grown up son wearing the symbol, as did his wife his childhood sweetheart on the beach whom he gave the symbol to, as well as the war ruler also his friend on the beach who saved him from drowning and to whom he gave one symbol medallion. DQ composed the music and wrote the screenplay.

We made an error with you. I believe because you are so sensitive, we should have asked you to do the live performance first before seeing the music video. I think that would have made it easier for to concentrate on the visuals. The instrument is the jaw harp. Used heavily in many indigenous Siberian/Northern Aisia cultures. (Check out Otyken "Genesis" for yourself to see it being played in a song.) Dimash is a strong supporter of world peace/moral integrety in much of his musical works. I am very drawn to your genuine reactions. I am 80 yrs old and love it when younger people show their genuine appreciation for something so meaningful and emotional. Dimash wrote this himself composed the music and made the video over a 3 yr period. It is a great message. The 2 boys grew up and showed their individual adults, where one was the piper . You could actually see already when the kid was being saved, the saviour was looking at the girl realizing the she actually liked the boy that nearly drowned. So the elder boy's jealousy made him the piper.

You mostly got it all right, the baddie was the one who saved Dimash when they were young, the young girl didnt die in the war she was Dimash's wife and the little girl they killed was his daughter. She gave birth to Dimashs' son and it showed the baby with the symbol then showed him grown up and heading into the sunset. I highly recommend you watch the live version which Dimash sang at his solo concert in Almaty the night before this mv was released, its absolutely stunning and you can concentrate on the music not having to watch video as well. Well worth a look, its a fancam from his Vietnam fan club and its very good quality 👍👍😀

Sohum, the necklace is a part of a navigational compass. I think that represents that we all need to use our moral compass to guide us. It is our decision what direction to sail through life to have turbulence and pain or love and peace. In the afterlife, Dimash walked with the religious leaders who traveled up steep hills of difficulty and through storms of violence and war to go toward the light. We all need to make that decision of what direction we will choose. I, as a "Dear", choose life.

The young girl when they were kids became Dimash's wife the little girl killed by soldiers was his daughter and the newborn baby is his son born as he was dying. The people he is leading at the end are people from all religions of the world in the journey to the afterlife showing the reason why it shouldn't be no wars, showing that all faiths do believe in GOD no matter what and should respect their differences and promote love and peace amongst all humanity as they reach out to achieve their salvation in eternal life. You showed a very good initial understanding of the video, though I wasn't sure you made the connection that the young girl on the beach was Dimash's wife and the leader of the war was Dimash's friend from childhood that saved him from drowning.... the child who was killed was Dimash's daughter, while his wife gave birth to their son. There is so much to this video. Symbolism all over the place and I love the representation of the world's major religions that is woven throughout both visually (Quran, Torah, Christian cross, Shofar) and through sound (Catholic church bells, Buddhist chants). Also the spoken words you hear Dimash say is a Kazakh proverb that translates to "Man is the caravan, life is the road". This video is such a masterpiece in every way. All of Dimash's stuff is absolutely amazing, but above all others, I think this shows the high caliber of his artistry. He composed the music, he wrote the screenplay. I agree with you... Hollywood needs Dimash. The world needs Dimash. Another composition that I think you would be interested in is "War and Peace". Dimash wrote the music for it as his master's thesis. Thank you again. The first letters of the words of the song's title make up SOS. The symbol found by the young Dimash in the fishing box is part of an old compass, and a beam of light penetrates through the hole, indicating the CORRECT DIRECTION (!!!). On the symbol of the military leader, a former friend of Dimash, this hole is not - there is no correct direction.
