If you have Jin-Gitaxis down and you copy an Invoke Despair it's pretty much an instant win combo in most scenarios, it's near impossible to recover from that.
You can always tell who just net decks the meta just by how they play them... No thought process just attack/counter/kill everything. Easily handled by a more skilled player.
@@HairEEck Update: I have been playing with this version of the deck and I think I can count on one hand how many times I've lost in the past several hours of playing
Your content and decks are so fascinating but I feel like I’ll never play 99% of them because of the cost for packs, wild cards and time. The cost to play MTG is far too much. Love the content, love your play, thanks!
Not to sound mean, but you don't have to have a great deck your first set. I know someone who hovers between gold/plat and has been playing for 2 years without spending a dime. MTG is a game that I enjoy enough that I rather lose a game of magic than win in another game. The cost of playing magic is lower the more patient you are
Interesting seeing Kotose being played on a good deck she actually works in.. I swore no one would play her, specially considering how anti-Commander she is. @34:35 Wait opponent! ..Don't you get your Naturalist back if you destroy Confinement?
Hahaha FINALLY! 😁 I made the deck before You Luca! And I'm super honored that my brew is very similar to Yours! Thank You Luca for the years long entertainment and inspiration, You are a big influence in my brews!
I play Magic 2014 exclusively now - it's not a substitute for Arena by any means, but it's great fun. I get a lot of enjoyment from watching Arena content like this and I really don't miss playing it at all.
Missed win at 27:04, could have exiled the angel and then dealt 6 damage with invoke despair. You won regardless, with what's definitely the cooler option, so that's cool. Nice vid
At the end of match 2, the reason you can double kick Archangel of Wrath is due to Kotose's ability, not due to The Celestus. When you kick a spell, the kicker cost is added to that spell's mana cost. A double kicked Archangel of Wrath costs 2WWBR. Kotose says you can spend mana as though it was mana of any color to cast cards exiled with her ability. That means a double-kicked Archangel of Wrath effectively costs 6. You can even see The Celestus create white mana, since the color of mana doesn't really matter for spells cast with Kotose's ability.
I just realised I already inadvertently have a deck very very similar to this that I haven't played in a while. Might have to tweak it and give it a whirl.
Because of such high yen/dollar rate I was reluctant to spend money on this game at all, but this deck seems like a deck I can build + have lots of fun with! Thanks LVD!
They would get the Naturalist back, but they wouldn't live another turn since LVD had removal for it. Of course, opponent didn't know that, so sacrificing Circle was still the correct play.
26:42 Huh, I never realized Bankbuster can be tapped to draw on the turn it comes down. I guess that makes sense since by default it's not actually a creature - despite the summoning sickness animation.
The "summoning sick" animation appears on creatures but also anything that has an ability that turns itself into a creature. The reason is so that if you have (for example) two Bankbusters, one played this turn and one played last turn that both have all their counters, you can see at a glance which one you can attack with if you're able to crew it. (My recollection is that they added the animation for non-creatures a little after Kaldheim came out, specifically because people were animating the wrong Faceless Haven.)
Will have to wait and see how the meta adjusts, but the deck needs a sweeper. Massacre was also one of the better answers to a resolved Jin, so could turn into a positive.
Hey, could you do a video on how to start with historic decks? I started when Zendikar rising got out and now i mainly focused on standard, but also miss cards from Theros or Throne of Eldraine. So I'd like to get started on historic, but could use your insight :D
Feel like you should just play Explorer at that point. Since Historic is just a larger card pool with more cards you have to craft. Plus Explorer is close to paper magic whereas we'll never see Alchemy cards in paper
Love the deck, but I feel like games 2-5 the opponents were getting quite unlucky, and the outcomes might have been different if they were not. It is what it is though.
@@brandonward7966 It does work that way. It's possible you got confused trying to Cut Down a creature that had damage marked on it because you thought the damage had changed its toughness -- a creature having damage on it is different from having its toughness reduced.
@@geronimo8159 At first Runed Crown (with GR Runes), Helm of The Host, maybe All That Glitters and some boardcontrol... Ramp or some kind of draw perhaps? I not sure yet. But i'm open to suggestions 😀
You should really play the prismatic bridge so you can cheat out Jin earlier. Also, an extra 150 cards in deck to confuse your opponent. Wait, wrong streamer…..
yesterday a bronze player played with this deck and i said wow what a nice deck has made this man gg, now i see more of these decks so he just copy pasted the deck cuz he was a noncreative player that just copy decks. pathetic :/
Hi Legenvd, to spice up the ending of your videos, have more interaction with your audience and show off some of your MTG knowledge, why not implement this quiz instead of or in addition to the pun about the best card of the video? ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-QjGKMFZ_1Q8.html I made this a long time ago for a different german youtuber who is horrible at mtga but rather entertaining at times. But he decided not to pick it up as his knowledge was not advanced enough for it. Perfect opportunity to shine for you dont you think? Since he wasnt that good, the questions are rather easy but I hope the idea gets across nonetheless. Also, since your name sounds quite dutch I will arrogantly assume that you can figure out what the german questions mean.... ;) het spijt me meneer Further questions could be send in by your viewers or patreons or both and you could show interesting mechanics of mtga that one would never think of. Its not about showing insanely good combos or useful uses of the rules, just what other funny side effects they sometimes can have.
Your content and decks are so fascinating but I feel like I’ll never play 99% of them because of the cost for packs, wild cards and time. The cost to play MTG is far too much. Love the content, love your play, thanks!
