Dimitri Illarionov (b. 1979) is one of the most brilliant young classical guitarists. He is the multi-award winner of numerous international competitions in USA, Spain, Italy, Poland, Russia and other countries. Dimitri is the winner of two of the most prestigious guitar competition in the world.
In 2002 Dimitri won The Twentieth International Guitar Foundation of America Solo Guitar Competition (GFA Miami, Florida, USA). In September 2008 Dimitri became the winner of the International Guitar Competition of Francisco Tarrega. For the first time in 42 years the winner of Tarrega is from Russia. Together with the First Prize Dimitri got The Prize for the Best Interpretation of Tarrega piece and Premio del Publico (Public Prize).
