Here is a rather frustrating but delightful Record, that has been a tad confusing - My info says Adrian Schubert's Orchestra with William Stanley as Jerry White on the vocal, under Roy Collin's Dance Orchestra - Oriole (1659) -then BANNER (6471) I also have two matrix numbers to make things interesting, on this JEWEL record it is 2404, on some Banners 8891 -as "Roy Carlson's" Dance Orchestra! I had a time posting for You! It is one of those records made by ARC that looks great and sounds quite good until you upload (record it to my WavePad program)it to make a video, then all the daemons surface with a vengeance! And to add insult to injury, along with the questionable info on it - it did NOT show up on my downloads on my WavePad files when I tried to share it with you here on YT, I had taken two weeks to clean it up so I could presint it, so I had to copy and paste it with a Y to have it show up at all! I will have to beg forgiveness from GOD! At least I hope you will Enjoy!!

OH! Bless You! And thank You so much! When I could not find the download on my wavepad, I showed some dimples myself, but they were in all the wrong places! LOL!

Kudos! Such a happy 1929 tune, played by a stellar dance band! We already can tell it's a "Jewel," just as the label says! Love the 1929 approach to dance tunes! Thanks 🎉

Thank You so much benzo! I LOVE the Tuba bounce and beat to this adorable little gem of a record! Adrian Schubert is truly among the best, and ARC has some fantastic songs that are not seen on other larger labels! LOT'S OF FUN!

OH! I LOVE the part where He sings Planted their kisses on both of your cheeks, and the reeds do a little off note in the back that drives me wild at 1:15!!

@@roybo1930 I hear that chord right there! 🎉 The more I play it, the more impressive is the arrangement after the vocal. It is exciting top tier syncopation, and whoever wrote it was a PRO! ❤

Whatever the details, it is a good enough tune, and it doesn't sound bad.

Although this does not sound like a salon orchestra at all, Rust lists this great recording as 'Adrian Schubert's Salon Orchestra', recorded July 30th, 1929, effectively as 'Roy Carlson's Dance Orchestra' on Banner and as 'Roy Collins' Dance Orchestra on Jewel and Oriole. Rust does not credit the vocalist, but the website 78discography does mention Jerry White (whose voice is, by the way, recognisable on the recording we are hearing). Ah the eternal pseudonym chaos, right? Anyhow, I absolutely loved this catchy and very well orchestrated performance! Thank you so much for sharing :-)

Brian Rust was a lazy and often inaccurate purveyor of so called facts. Better people that have done there homework are now giving more accurate information than the people of years ago. They didn't think they could be checked and now they are.

Lovely tune floating on those wonderful & crispy Tuba staccato's which make the whole thing almost weightless! Thank you for the effort and the beautiful result, best regards! 🙂

I find these Plaza-based non-copyrighted "B" sides to be musically boring, in general. Formulaic compositions, but nothing clever, interesting, or memorable. An occasional hot solo -- not not enough to save an otherwise insipid arrangement. Nothing like this was ever heard on Columbia, Victor, Brunswick, Okeh Electric -- or even Edison! One hopes that Mr. (or Ms.) "Carver" was given at least $25 for this song and its stupid lyrics!
