I myself think that she had the sweetest most soft, embracing voice of her days. Not strong like Ella's, but equally marevelous in its own gentle gracious unique way. Love Dinah!
I think it is quite a privilege to have access to such a magnificent artistic moment. There will never be one like Dinah. Neither like Frank. My most joyful gratitude for those who posts this kind of videos, they're jewels!
I had not seen Dinah in a while. She was terrific -- a terrific singer and a terrific talk-show host as well. Seeing her on TV always made me smile. Thanks for posting.
Could somebody tell me what does Dinah pronounce when she is adapting the lyrics to "You're Sensational"? It is different from High Society's version and I can't quite get it by this sound.
“What you should meet is the maiden sweet to fire your heart” In the movie Frank sang “what you require is the proper squire to fire your heart” but Dinah couldn’t sing that as “squire” is a masculine word. This, incidentally, was apparently the last new song that Cole Porter ever wrote.
@@gabrielxenofonte1346 You are welcome. I actually have the entire show - if you would like it some time,I can send you a link from google drive. Take care.
@@calcecini how lovely! I think Frank's songs were always way more exciting when they were presented on Tv shows like Dinah's. So I'd like it very much if you could share the show with me, just let me know what do you need from me to send it. Thanks a lot!
