You can easily level your weapon skills at the end if you attack the surrounding ogre Spirits. You must not speak to the little Ogre to make you king, otherwise the Spirits become friendly. You want them to be hostile. They won't attack back and they will never die but you can attack them. Bring the fastest weapon you can get with you, good weapon skill leveling ;)
Good to see this is possible, I was afraid it wouldn't be due to King Gordok using sunder. Been successfully running 2 druid(1 resto/1 feral tank) and 1 rogue runs which may be a better option for those that aren't quite as geared
I think with a video like this, it would be extremely helpful to show all the gear used by you and the rogue and each of the player's talents at the time of the video
you all probably dont care but does any of you know of a tool to log back into an instagram account?? I somehow lost my account password. I love any help you can give me
@Lucian Jackson I really appreciate your reply. I found the site thru google and Im in the hacking process atm. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
I spent about a few hours trying this out with a rogue friend. At the end, it looks like our gear was just not good enough. We both hit 60 a week ago and have like half pre-bis. He couldn't dps fast enough and I couldn't heal enough to keep up with the 2000 damage crits. Still, we had a blast trying as we both like a challenge and this was like trying to down a raid boss for us. It was fun thinking up consumables and the like that could help. We brought in another druid friend to help kill him. We are going to get more geared and try again and hope Blizzard doesn't mess with the encounter.
I've been doing this for the past week or so, the first kill is the hardest without DM buffs, I have pretty much full raid bis at the moment so my damage is quite high. Things to help, Mongoose pot, firewater, Juju, stamina food and grog, songflower serenade and lastly greater stoneshield pot. I've only required these on the first kills to be sure as the corpse run is horrendous. Now the spec.... I'm playing a gimped combat spec with riposte, 17/34 with 4/5 dodge. Riposte helps massively. However the rogue in this video is tremendously lucky. He gets very few stuns if any (I'm an orc and I still get stunned occasionally), hes on 20% hp with no evasion and you're charged, he manages to live. There is 3 potential adds to get, Mage, Priest and Shaman with Shaman being the easiest. Priest is hardest due to the shielding if you aren't in LOS. The mage seems to buff the king with haste which can be scary. Try and save your evasion for when your druid jumps down so you can both dps together.
If you didnt know already, if you speak to the Captain (4th Guard) before spawning the Tribute Chest, you'll get an extra Blue Item in it (3rd Item). Atleast it was that way for me in all then runs i've don.e :) Edit: If you get the Engineering Schematic, it counts as a rare, so it would be the "3rd blue drop". Incase you get 2 Blues.
Very nice, thanks for the vid Ebbn. This was my absolute favorite thing to do on Light's Hope. I ran this with a rogue and it's a blast to play. On LH my rogue had to be geared to the teeth (BWL gear) and needed prep to be able to do double evasion. This looks like it's a lot easier on Classic, your rogue is a lot less geared. Of course he is well geared for P1. Questions for you. On LH it felt like there was a time requirement because the rogue could easily go down to some unlucky crits by the boss if they were not actively avoiding attacks via evasion, ghost strike, etc. Did you do this on p servers as well? Can you compare? On LH my rogue used FAPs because the King would stun him (it was a Warstomp like effect) and that could get him killed if he wasn't dodging. Is that happening here or can you comment on that for Classic? What sort of gear would you prioritize for this as the druid? On LH I picked up a lot of + arcane damage because what I really needed was more damage to burn the King down. Also what specs have you done this with? I did it with swiftmend spec and that went well. I preferred to be Balance/Resto NS spec to be able to do more damage. Thanks again friend!
Also I forgot I wanted to mention that I was an enchanter when I did this. The GPH goes up significantly depending on the price of shards and how you play the economy (AH timing) with them. I would split that with the rogue and yeah I had my epic mount in no time.
Tried this with a rogue in full pre-raid BiS plus Nightslayer legs / belt. 3.2k health. I was a druid more geared than Ebbn in this video. It was not doable for us, Gordok hits too hard with mortal strike and just straight up one shots the rogue sometimes. Seems like this almost solely relies on how well geared the rogue is.
Just a side note. You guys can sell the loot from the chest to anyone outside making gph even more. Selling rings for 75-85g, chest for 50g and staff for 90g. Have invis pots for the person buying if not rogue or Druid.
Talk to Captain Kromcrush (he will be green to you) before becoming the king, get him to run downstairs and come back get the king debuff and open the chest gets you guaranteed 3 blue items. You are welcome :)
Sorry I don't understand what you mean, how can you talk to Captain Kromcrush before you become king? what do you mean get him to run downstairs and come back?
I've been doing these for about a week now on my rogue with my druid buddy. We are both full preraid bis with about 4 epics a piece. So pretty well geared I'd say
Sorry, you are highly exaggerating the timings... depending on patrols, killing patrol in boss room, running back, you are probably closer to 15-20 minutes per run,... the advanced armor Smith is 40silver on my server... mana pots are 2g the loot actually averages 15g per run if you do it like you did in the video. I’m getting 3 rare drops in chest and that bumps average When you doing this things you always forget minor stuff that takes time Running back to check chests that spawn after you become king Running back to reset or finding someone to reset you This is AT BEST 4 runs per hour, and you mess up JUST once, and you can have a 15minute time lost depending on where you wiped
He isnt exaggerating at all, you need to do jump runs to avoid getting instance lockout meaning each run is less than 15 mins. You can argue his server economy is different sure but that goes for every video on wow gold where it isnt about raw.
I run it daily in about 9-10 minutes. the first run is about 12-13 to get the buffs, then you reset from within each time. Not at all exaggerating the times. Not to mention this is a 12 minute video and we do it in that amount of time and it was our first run.
@@Scribbinge Server economy doesnt matter. The raw gold per hour is the only number that matters. Everything else is in the + part of Xgph+. When I get good luck on drops I get 25-30g per run. When I get crap luck I get 10g per run. Takes about 20-30 minutes per run if I don't fuck up or et some really bad RNG. Assuming no deaths from time loss and ignoring chests and using an alt-reset method for resetting the instance I can max out at 67g per hour not including selling any drops from the tribute chest. You could increase this number as a hunter with more optimal gear.
@@Ebbnflow you should make a part 2 with specs and maybe gear suggestions for those still trying to get it down and show a run where you dont wipe just to quash the conspiracies.
You apparently forgot to talk to captain krom krush after you killed the boss, so he run to Fengus, it is like wearing the gordok costume, and you will get a third loot inside the chest (you have to do it before getting the King gordok debuff from the friendly ogre)
Hey Ebn, its Sixmillion from Nost/Elysium/Northdale... sad im not on your server. what addon is that showing how much your HoT's are going to heal you in future?
@Ebbnflow 08:32 What is the Rogue drinking? Potion? Doesn't seem to b e a health pot/FAP/Thistle Tea... Plus I noticed the rogue doesnt get stunned by the war stomp throughout the fight, Good RNG?
How do you fellow rogues prevent yourself from getting bopped by those Mortal Strike burst crits? He sometimes crits a swing then the MS and that adds up to a lot. The MS crit itself is ~1.8k
I've tried this for two hours with a good geared druid, I'm full preraid bis except for the DM rings and there is no way my druid could outheal the dmg being pumped out on me. Rewatched this video a bunch of times now and no idea what your rogue is doing that makes him seem to take so little damage. Gear difference cant be that great either in phase 1. Anyone has any thoughts?
I have pretty good gear on my rogue and we couldnt take him down either. I also have MC weapons and it doesnt matter when the boss crits you for an 1800+ mortal strike... Gave up after 3 tries.
Abdul Jabars I would assume he’s not spec’d into feral. Theres some BoE leather boots made by LW that improves stealth tho, thats what i plan on using. Improved stealth talents/gear wont help with the dogs tho.
can we get some info on the rogue? whats his rotation like? his spec etc. ? me and a friend are trying this, but I (the rogue) get chunked down super fast once we fight him
@@Leethesynn yeah there are some tome spawns and herbs in the courtyard which dont require you to clear. Will take a moment to get used to the patrols though
Right now, there are way to many uncontrollable factors for this to work 100% of the time imo. The rogue can get one-shot MS crit on through evasion pretty often. Even with a dodge setup and similar gear to the rogue shown in the video the shaman healer (the easiest one imo) we only got to 2% in around 12 attempts. Maybe in BWL? :0
Were you able to do this reliably? I was trying to 2man this with a Druid guildy and we are both more geared than you and your Rogue but sometimes I would randomly get 1 shot. Without using greater stoneshield potions it felt like a fluke at best for us.
You can use soothe animal on that first hyena near the ramp. 10 extra yards of aggro radius makes that part a little safer and more consistent. One of the very few use cases for that spell lol.
Shawn ive had 5 man runs where we’ve skipped that pack all together and some that pull em on accident I guess it depends on where the dog is facing. Good to know that soothe beast works tho, ima try it.
Cool video. But he said this is better gold per hour than a hunter tribute run? That doesn't make sense since a hunter can do this in the same amount of time and not split the gold.
@@seifeir6951 I watched a video where the runner went invis, then straight to the door and unlocked it while invisble. Only when the opening channeling was done and the door opened did it removed his invisibility. He just had to run on a ramp to get out of a combat afterward.
Just an F.Y.I., rogues can solo farm the BRD bar area (and kill a BRD boss or two) and yield far more gold per hour than DM stealth runs... plus they're done solo and the earnings don't vary.
As I can see there is no "war stomp" on the rogue and i tryed with a drood of my guild and there is chain wipe and I've better stuff than the rogue on this video. How can we do to make the war stompe doesnt cast by the king?
I tried it today with an Rogue. I am HOTW Druid. The Rogue had arround 3k HP with preraid BIS and got 1 shotted 2 times. Maybe Rogues nees some points in advanced parry / dodge to handle the boss.
So I tried today with my rogue friend we are both pre-raid BIS. Getting there was piece of cake with your guide. We made it to the boss on first try easy. BUT. For some reason my rogue keeps getting like 1K critical strikes and often 2 in a row while first is mortal strike. So he usually last only for time of evasion and my like 2 sec after my NS heal to max he drops in 2-3 secconds down to zero. He has 3,3k HP he is not specced in extra dodge and parry so that might be difference, but we dont know. What we know for sure that with his current spec and pre-raid BIS gear it is not dooable unless you are really lucky on how dmg is dealt to him. One try when I CR ressed rogue buffed him and kept healing, he for some reason lasted for at least 20 sec, but then 3 crits in a row again and he was dead. DMG is simply way too high.
Out of interest was anyone else able to do this as a duo rogue/druid? Done 25 attempts with a good druid, both of us geared and the best we've done is getting him to 30% health. This is with the druid popping innervate & spam healing, me with 4.1k health and using AGM & health pot most attempts. Doesn't seem to be anything else we could do to get him lower without a third dawg involved
yo, i've been running this as rogue/druid duo for the past two days. got 1 kill, and many 10-15% attempts. if you'd like to theorycraft with me, send me your discord name. we're getting close to figuring it out
@@twitchthepocket This is just a lucky kill. It's possible but not farmable as a two man. They got extremely lucky with stun rng in this fight. This boss can hit extremely hard personally i've been hit for 2.7k by him. Using things such as Greater Stoneshield Potion or Limited Invulnerability Potion can help quite a bit. Invuln will give you 6 seconds when the boss is running towards the healer and the rogue can use sprint to get in free damage and then kite him back towards the tanking spot as the druid jumps down. I'd like to see a video posted of at least 5 straight kills if he really has this on farm.
@@banditbrah i've been talking to a few people and apparently it's much easier to just duo farm it as 2 rogues. you cleave the caster down quickly, and then you take turns kiting gordok, resetting him with vanish. however, i do still believe it's possible to farm as rogue druid. perplexity was doing it on stream today and while they did die a few times, they had many consecutive kills. his gear isn't great either, full blues and a krol blade basically. having the buffs makes a world of difference it seems
Its whole heartedly farmable as 2 man, just rogue needs to respec this. 0/30/21 for the rogue, ghostly strike, riposte, blade flurry, prep. Two evasions. Take 5/5 in dodge as well.. 30 seconds of 100% avoidance
Have the rogue unequip and reequip a piece of stam gear before pulling to put him below 100%. Put a rejuv on him and the caster should run straight to you after the first tick in combat
tbh he said teh gold per hour u have to splitt it dont forget. not like 100g its 50 if u splitt and if teh loot is okay. some runs u only got 1g or 2g drops tahts lit nothing at teh end normal splitt after a hourr is 40g or lesser.
Is it just me, or is this based on RNG? I know he says it isn't doable with a dagger rogue, but I have perditions blade and Gutgoreripper as well as pre-raid bis and some t1, which should give me enough dps. This just isn't the problem for me and my friend, I simply get crit for 1,3k into a 2k mortal strike the three times we tried it, which just makes me flop. Anyone else with this experience?
same experience here, i'm combat swords in full preraid bis, did this with a druid who was like half epic geared but his MS hits for 2.1k on me, at which point theres no way he can outheal his dps on me anymore
hoarding raw gold is not very efficient. the total gold in circulation will keep increasing since there are not enough gold sinks in the game relative to how efficiently people farm nowadays. which means prices on most items, especially endgame stuff, are going to increase.
@@luizperez3357 I assume that's the shit you get when playing with a bunch of 30 year olds... Jesus. Well, I'm aware of that trend of hoarding your cons/mats, however do you know what an economic bubble is?
Where are you getting you gph numbers from ? The value of items from king and chest is like 15g average, for one person it makes 7,5g and I dont belive you that it takes 15mins per run. 20min at min according to patrol avoidance and way back. It makes it around 22g/h for one person...
@@demineon9477 Large brilliant shard is around 2g atm. It is more worth to seel everything to vendor. However you can make these numbers of gph by selling items to players true.
Nice video, however hunter will definitely make more gold than this, considering they can do solo 12minute runs right now(altho with exceptional gear),
