I really enjoy watching your RU-vid channel. My daughter is recently going through some issues. She had a traumatic brain injury in august and then abnormal EEGs since. They initially said they think she has rolandic epilepsy based on the sharp waves bilaterally in The Central temporal area of the brain, but based on what I’m researching her symtpoms look more like temporal lobe epilepsy. Do you know if it can be easy to misdiagnose one versus the other? Looks like the region of the brain with the sharp waves is very close for both types. Thank you for your help. I was not sure how else to get a second opinion on the EEG but if you also know any clinics that will do a second opinion, i would be grateful as well.

Have a 6 year old child has been diagnosed with autoimmune encephalitis virus corona discharged with minimal speech but then started playing and so on in 3 days lots of talking and laughing but still not 100% so after 2 weeks uncontrollable laughter and then seeing things that are there bugs and insects jinn asking for help she was shaking out of fear what do I do the medicine were cepra and aspanol when doc heard about the fears then gave responal what do I do to stop this???🙏

Hi Dr Omar Me and my brother both started with seizures in our late teens.. my diagnosis was "mild symptoms of photosensitive epilepsy" neither of us take medication because our main trigger was the day after alchol consumption. However we have both had seizures without. I tend to have two or 3 a year and it still does impact my life. Have you ever seen this within siblings could it be genetic? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Regards

I don’t think I am on right medication and I don’t want die because I have 10 kid and she needs me. It can help.. However.. LGS is a very resistant type of epilepsy and needs multiple types of treatment including surgical treatment depending on the case

Salam Doctor, My son is 18 years old, he started to get seizures at the age of 11. His dad has taken him to the doctor and he is on Keppra/ 1000mg/2wice a day. As what i have been told by my son, usualy he gets seizures attack in the morning when he wakes up, so can i say he is having a myoclonic seizures?

You talked about Mayo. I have been to their EMU in Rochester. They let a person sieze for 20 minutes 5 times in one night. The following day they will push you to come off all of your medicine. They basically work as an travel medicine mill. They are very overrated and greedy. They also don't have Magnetoencephalography.
