I received a call from my neurologist who said they saw seizure activity in the left side of my brain. this is a long story and won't get in to it now, but I have been fighting with doctors for years about some episodes I have been having and they have all dismissed me. I was referred to an endocrinologist after a diagnosis of thyroid cancer. she referred me to the stroke Clinic after I explained my episodes. an EEG was recently ordered and was told about the seizure activity. I was prescribed meds. I have been watching your videos and they are amazing. just curious on your thoughts on focal seizures and if you think the thyroid cancer could be related.

greetings ✌ salaam i had LITT surgery in June 2022 due to mts-mesial temporal sclerosis at Riverside Hospital Columbus Ohio, successful procedure, healed well, brain functions great, the bladder catheter and rectum catheter were extremely uncomfortable 😖 before this procedure i was having 7 - 30 focal aware seizures a week for over 7 years. after the LITT procedure, the auras have decreased to 2 or 3 a month!! many blessings of health & wellness to you all and may God be with you brothers & sisters 🙏🕊🕊 - Jay, with late adult onset epilepsy since 2012 💚

Hi Dr. Thank you for this video. I have long searched for what could help control my daughter'seizures. She has had keppra and vimpat in the past, but none helps. Just last week, we met with her neurologist, and she recommended Depakote 250mg. Please Doctor what do advise? I am so worried about the side effects. My daughter hasnt been the same since she started on anti seizure meds. Right now, homebound from school because she's always tired and not be able to comprehend in little things. We need help. Thank you

This part sucks too. I speak a few languages and sometimes I foget the most simple things in Spanish and other times people assume Im a an adopted Mexican, because of my dialect. I also lose time often while seizing. I record myself because of this one.

I've gotten auras for years and it feels like a huge mix of a panic attack and Deja-vu, i feel like i'm watching a scene I've already seen before, and a feeling that there are other spirts and people surrounding me that are from a different universe, and they trying to show me that God is real....

Hello Doctor. My Nephew is 4 years of age and he started a gelastic seizure last month. After MRI and EEG, we found that he is having tuberous sclerosis. In a day about 10-12 times seizure is coming and it's like 2-5 seconds. After medication of around 15-20 days, the length of seizure is decreased but the frequency in a day is not decreasing. Can you please help and advise anything?

A bacteria infection that infection that attacks your nerves inside your body your muscles causes the nerves that are damaged to not send the right message to your brain for different reflects that happen to your body. Just like when your skin raises goose bumps you don’t do it on purpose it’s a reaction . So when your body reacts to a stimulus your nerves which are damaged send the wrong message to your brain which causes a seizure. But if you get a seizure because of flashing lights I really don’t think that is caused by stress. There are many kinds of seizure and many causes.
