Direct Sowing Poppies in the Garden, During Wintertime Zone 6B 

In this video we will be direct sowing annual poppy seeds in the garden. Poppies are hardy annuals that tolerate the colder temperatures of winter. For best results sow the seeds during fall, they can also be sown throughout winter. Expect to see lovely spring blooms! Something I forgot to mention in this video is you can even sow poppies directly on the snow, as long as you have a prepared garden bed ready for planting. If your garden is mulched, I recommend removing it before you sow, so the seeds don't get lost in the mulch. Poppies seeds are tiny and need light to germinate.
