Very excited for this one! I like the pink / purple colour scheme so far and the the sci-fi tone! A good reminder that this is an anthology series! Love how they all connect in their own way!
Hello, Casey :) I really liked these theories! When it comes to the prologue, I actually expect to see the Cassiopeia that was mentioned in The Devil in Me; maybe it was kidnapped by aliens or something? Okay, sounds a little ridiculous, but you never know ;) Since “Directive 8020” likely refers to NASA’s (former) Directive 8020, I do not expect that the actual year of the game will be 8020, although that would certainly be interesting to see. Maybe it’ll be 2080, so reversed? I like your idea about the main game being about fixing a space ship, mostly because the inventory system of The Devil in Me could become very plot-relevant here. Right now, I imagine that you would have to collect enough materials for all of your crew members to escape, so not having enough would force you to leave a certain amount of characters behind. And maybe, if the relationship with them is low (or they stay behind against their will), they backstab you by occupying your seat instead. As in, not a single character will always backstab you, but the game will create a determinant situation where every character can be the one to betray another. At least that’s what I would like to see in this scenario, since I think it would be a little boring if only a single character had the possibility to betray you ^^ Oh, and I totally expect that the parasites from House of Ashes will be the main villain again, determinantly infecting some of the playable characters and/or NPCs. Although I’m not sure how Supermassive could present the idea in a new way … Either way, some very cool theories and I really hope they come true ^^
Hey Tatjana! Thank you! And we shall see Cassiopeia, but of how, many ideas to think of. That does sound right to be honest, 2080 does sound like a point in life that seems realistic for humans to find another planet to live on maybe. So might fit in. Maybe some characters will have an inventory. Like a technician. That would give alot more scenes and choices if any character could. Maybe the most replayable DPA game to date! Very possible for the parasites to be included. Maybe in a different form separate from HOA? Thank you for stopping by!
I always had a theory that the game is going to be similar to among us and there is going to be someone back stabbing the cast, maybe the backstabber doesn’t mean to do it as maybe they are being controlled or something. Your theories are interesting and given of what we know of the game so far, the theories are accurate. Great video keep up the good work!
I agree that there will be a twist with a main character betrayal. Eric betrays Nick calling his radio call a ghost contact as he leaves Nick to die to the Ancient One. If they feature the vampire parasite in any way even if it’s just an Easter egg, I’ll love it. Can’t wait to see who the main characters are. Hoping our main characters are trained in using weapons in someway so when things get crazy, they are at least prepared to fight back. Awesome theory video!

Awesome theory Casey! Through the first beginning teser it said some one is not their self either they got attached by an parasite, making them doing crazy stuff maybe it’s connected to House of ashes because of parasites that they found was in space this takes place in space.
My theory is that I think its going to be a lot like the movie The Thing, because of a line in the trailer of Directive 8020. One of the characters in the trailer was talking about how one of the crew was trying to kill him, and then add all the purple stuff covering the ship it just feels like that movie. Also about the betrayal thing. When The Devil in Me gameplay trailer came out showing the gas chamber death for Erin I actually thought Kate was working for who ever the killer was. I thought it was going to be a Jigsaw and Amanda thing, but it wasn't, but it would be interesting to see it would shake things up. Also I hope the prologue isn't centurions in the past. I kind of want it to happen more in the present like The Quarry.
Yesss you said that in one of your shorts. Never seen The Thing before but might be a movie inspiration. And for some reason I did hear someone say if kate was with the killer but yano. It's tough to say when the prolouge will take place. SS Cassiopeia is teased in TDIM and it's said in the teaser for d8020. Like how? I feel it could be a 60-70s thing. But we'll see:)
Would be interesting, and this is set into the future so... will it have evolved? Will we get so far into the galaxy that we find the original parasite that's not even close to the one in house of ashes? Who knows, waiting game now...
