What an amazing process and such deep respect for each other. I haven’t seen the movie yet, but I was at PSIFF and was immensely impressed with Davy Chou during the shortlisted panel of directors.
I’m so glad she shared that, as a man who has tried to write from a female perspective i know how difficult that can be. It didn’t feel real enough. I was pretty surprised this film was written by a man but this explains a lot more.
Accidentally stumble upon this film from watching a string of Korean movies. It's refreshing to see more Cambodians having greater influence in the film industry. The first time actress Ji-Min really portray the role well- her quest to seek, discover, and accept one's unique identity and happiness in the world.
I thought it was total shit and i usually love Korean movies and independent movies. The main character had no truth story arch, she just remained toxic from beginning to end. Treated people like shit. Gave no indiction what she did in the time jumps. Did she stay in Seoul? Was she allowed to? How did she earn money in seoul? If she returned to paris several times. Why not show thet?
