There is a version of this song (it’s a remix) called Say My Name Latin Flavor that keeps the Spanish guitar and flute through the whole song not just at the very beginning. Another interesting fact about this song is that it was their first comeback after their debut, but it didn’t chart number 1 until October 2022, when there was this big dance competition show televised in Korea, and the guy that won was later accused of plagiarizing Ateez dance move from this video (you know which one I’m talking about, the slow walk). And so everyone in Korea who hadn’t paid attention to Ateez when they first debuted had to look up this video to see if it was plagiarism, and they were like, “Hey, this is a good song.” Boom, number 1 on Korean music charts 4 years after it was released.

Remember how we said that ATEEZ had doppelgängers? This is the video/song where they meet them for the first time. We’ve named their doppelgängers ‘Halateez’ (also called the Black Pirates) because “Hala Hala” is the first music video where it’s actually ATEEZ’s doppelgängers performing. When the group is wearing all black it’s more than likely it’s Halateez performing. We see them for the second time in the “Answer” video. In “Say My Name” they’re basically introducing themselves and asking for help. In “Answer” ATEEZ is …answering… the call to action, getting ready for war. Cant wait to see you do “Answer” and see the correlation. Their storyline/lore is so fascinating!

Fun fact, this was their first ever comeback! KQ is a tiny company, and Ateez was their first group, so it was hard to get attention at first, even having music show stages cut or shortened. Their debut album only sold like 5k copies. So they didn't exactly have a budget to speak of while filming this, but they did what they could to tell their story anyways, and there's a LOT of things started here that would become very important to it later on. the way their last album sold 1.5 million in a week after starting at 430 first day sales just gets to me, I'm so proud of them.

A couple of Fun Facts for you First of all there are so many "Easter Eggs" in all of Ateez's MVs especially when it comes clues into AU lore - for example Flags (yes the one on the trumpet is the same one on the megaphone in HALA HALA) also the picture of the the desert in the museum (Pirate King, Treasure & Answer) Also the people in the hooded cloaks (we see them again in Halazia) #2 All of the name tags in this video were created by Atiny #3 SeongHwa's Halateez masked version was Mingi (Before he takes the mask off to see himself that is) San's member was YeoSang My theory is that "Say My Name" is that Halateez is coming to Ateez to let them know that they may be from a different Universe BUT they will come to help Ateez- they just need to call on them 😉🥸🤠

The song Say My Name is the first appearance of the black pirates who were in the song Hala Hala, and the museum located here is the same as in the song I'm the One, and a bloody battle took place here.

Ateez has such iconic choreo moments! I remember binge watching their music videos when I first got into them and I was sucked in to how catchy and iconic their moves were.

Atezz have a very interesting story line. This song is the previous one to Hala Hala, that's why the costumes they wear in Hala Hala appear in this one. And that's why the same costume in the form of a scarecrow also appears in Halazia and is burned symbolizing the beginning of a new era. The suit, the boat and the hourglass are symbols of transition between their mvs to understand the story line

I LOVE IT!!! ATEEZ PACING'S KINGS! You really need to watch Inception, musically speaking, this is one of the best of them. I will be eagerly awaiting for this.
