In my latest workshop project video, I needed to make a latch for the chicken coop. I took this opportunity to practice some blacksmithing techniques that I have been watching on RU-vid. I combined several different techniques and methods for this blacksmithing project. I am not considering this a pure blacksmith latch, I just needed a lock for the chicken coop, so I made one. Thank you to all the blacksmith that share their skill on RU-vid!

How so many projects get started, the good old scrap bucket! I envy you guys with your huge work shops in my townhouse, now retired after a long career of all things manufacturing/machining, started as a tool and die apprentice finished as an Instrumentmaker.
