I have a 2010 Outlaw 450 MXR first 450 i have ever owned and i let a few of my friends ride it recently and they fell in love with it immediately. As for performance i have an H.M.F slip -on installed deffinately not the fastest top end wise compared to most quads now adays but the acceleration is by far the best of all the stock 450's. so many other people have bashed my quad since i got it 3 months ago but dont let that stuff sway you if you are thinking of buying one, it is well worth it.
Fast lol. I have an 09' and with a 15 tooth sprocket on the front and stock 38 in the rear plus 22.5" mudsharks on the back (trail riding/mud) i was able to get it up to 82 on the road. All stock besides the sprocket and tires
My outlaw 525 IRS is in unbeatable . Honda 450 is the slowest of them all. I have beat renegades , raptors , Kfx 700 and Kfx 450 , ltr 450 Honda 450r, Yfz 450. The outlaw525 is the fastest stock Atv out there.
Lol. I disagree. Under the right circumstances the outlaw would win. 250r has a slight power advantage, but the KTM 450motor has a slight torque advantage...but very noticeable powerband difference. Combine that with modern suspension and ergonomics, there quite different. I respect both quads
You do realize that the 250R would be lucky to beat any modern 4 stroke sport quad right? When you compare them stock vs stock the 250R is nowhere near the fastest quad made.
A now extinct quad, I thought they might have figured it out with the redesign. The old ones were ugly as hell, these new ones look a whole lot better. But with 6 other 450s to choose from, Polaris would need to do something to really stand out to drum up more sales. The reverse is really cool though, but I'd still pick the KFX over it.
I had my words mixed up with the Outlander. And I am aware that Polaris does not make Outlaws anymore. That is because Polaris was not known for being a sport ATV manufacturer, and no one was willing to take the chance to buy the sport ATV's because they knew nothing about them. Why would Polaris continue to manufacture an ATV that no one is purchasing? They were just loosing money.
Uh, no. Polaris is ranked second best ATV manufacturer, and KTM being number one. I have owned 6 Polaris ATV's one being an 06 Outlander, 08 Outlaner, 2007 Outlaw, and more. I currently own the 2011 Outlaw 450mxr. NONE of my Polaris' ATV's have EVER had ANY catastrophic failures, and they have ALWAYS beat the shit out of every other companies ATV.
polaris will smoke anything 450 or 700 hands down. polaris is on top. honda arctic cat kawasucki suzuki yamaha and whatever else are all garbage and i guarentee u if they raced a polaris the polaris would win. look polaris vs yamaha raptor 700 or kfx 700. the polaris predator and outlaw are str8 beasts
@JendrusZbojnik Well if you're the average joe who races for fun occasionally I'd agree...but most people that race seriously swap out parts regardless. The Outlaw was a good bike before 14 year olds told Polaris want they wanted in a bike. What you got was a bike that looks like shit with less features than previous models. The only advantage was the 10 lb weight loss.
the sad part is that 95% of the outlaws bought will never see the track. the only racing the majority of people do is on the fly drag races. polaris should have never dumped the traditional outlaw look, or the pro steering, or the big gas tank that trailer riders like. "race" bikes are no where near stock to begin with and they replace the majority of the parts with aftermarket ones anyway. "racers" killed what the outlaw was known for. it's a shame really
@@johnsmith-oh2xo did you see any of the advertising for the outlaw back then? It was a sport ATV competing with the raptor. Then everyone hopped on the 450 race quad bandwagon. How many 450 race quads exist today compared to 2007-2010? I'll wait...my point from years ago was this was a stupid idea as real trail riders made up the majority of the market. Now you see nothing but RZRs and side by sides....
Anyone who races one of these wouldn’t be complaining about needing to take off the plastics. They’d be complaining about losing to YFZs and TRXs. Change my mind
Actually its not, it has less horsepower than a 450, let alone a 700xx, Raptor 700 or DS650. Its actually them slowest open class atv out there, luckily Polaris stopped building them, losing too much money you see, so many atvs, no buyers....hmm strange
This will destroy any 250r based machine without 10k in the motor.a ported 250r still don't stand a chance.yes I know a lot of it is rider but you get the idea lol
Good for you having no catastrophic failures, but rest assured, they are the worst performing hands down, don't make yourself look like an idiot by supporting Polaris sport atvs. They put a high-stroke engine with reverse in an atv built for MX (that comes with 18" rear tires!). If you know anything about engines whatsoever, you'll see how idiotic Polaris engineers are. I've seen them perform against the other ATVs first hand, I've ridden one too, stop making yourself look stupid.
