This is a perfect example why the accelerated dragon has that move order. There is a reason why those other moves are not available and this is the video on how to exploit an opponent who deviates from the main line. Love GJ!

I am a big fan of Gunjan. But the problem in this line is that it gives Black a improved Maroczy Bind Gurgenidze Variation that is without c2-c4

Hi GJ. At 1:28 why can't black defend the C5 pawn by playing pawn E6 or E5 (defending it with the black bishop) is it as you later explained, that the black bishop is overworked and this leaves a weakened king-side pawn structure?

Hey Gunjan. First, i would like to say thanks to all you've done tp help me. I started being serious at chess in april starting at 600 rating and now 1300 mostly because of your dirty chess tricks and Nc6 repertoire especially the Colorado Gambit, If you dont have any ideas, can you please make a repertoire similar to the Nc6 against d4? In chess.com, i have a 57% win rate against e4 and only 31% against d4. if you can make anither aggressive repertoire but this time against d4 it would really help

ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wdOb5gt4vIQ.html This is his universal opening against d4. I also had a lot of trouble against d4 and this is pretty good. I'm not sure if I would call it aggressive, but it is easy to play and seems to catch people off guard

Most accelerated dragon players don't play knight to c6 ... hence the accelerated
@blueskycrying
@blueskycrying 5 лет назад
Yang duh! I know right ? I play accelerated dragon pretty much exclusively because it's great fun and it's hard for white if they don't know what they are doing, but your right c6 is reserved for later there is no rush

So the moral of the story is, reinforce the pawn in c5 with d6 after the bishop threat, and then after the d4 pawn push, reinforce it again with b6.
@Simmering6757

@martybishop6131
@martybishop6131 6 лет назад
wow this is so bad for white....are you serious? why did people liked this video? terrible variation...i wish they played this against me. You play d3 and then d4? wasting a tempo. Just simple knight takes bishop on d4 and you lose the dark square bishop
@mustaphad1319
@mustaphad1319 6 лет назад
Marty Bishop Gj gives a pgn it looks very sketchy for white at first but looking at the variations black can easily lose if they play the first 3 moves casually
