You just hit a " wasp nest". Dirty Loops is probably ( musically speaking) the best band on the scene for this days. Ps- they are Swedish. You can make a all DL series. You won't regret .
The tuba is a euphonium (same family.) It has two bells which I've never seen anywhere else. Mell-Er-Gard. Aron Mellergard is the drummer, and they're Swedish. It's a great rabbit hole...Work Shit Out for the musicianship, Rock You for the essence of Dirty Loops.
The 'å' is pronounced a little like the 'ou' in 'gourd' though. 'Meller', like 'teller', but with an 'm', and then 'gourd. We have three extra vowels (å, ä and ö) in the Swedish languange that manages to stump a lot of non-Swedish speakers. :D
@@terryjames7018 It's interesting because I don't even think most of us are pronouncing Jonah's name correctly. I've heard him pronounce it "Yonah", but I suppose he's gotten so used to people saying "Jonah" that he doesn't bother correcting them. But he should.
@@JamilaGomez82 Yeah, in Swedish 'J' isn't pronounced 'dj', but more like 'y'. In most cases. Don't get me started on all the 'sh'-sounds it can also have, hahaha. But in this case, it's pronounced like you said, with a 'y'-sound. Also, the 'o' isn't a diphtong, but rather a very narrow and straight sound (like it would sound if you make a kissy face and then say 'o' at the same time). A bit like the 'oo' on the word 'loot'. :D
I fell into the Dirty loops Rabbit hole over a year ago and simply cant "Dont want to" get out! As good as it gets world wide musically! Amazing Musos. x
As I do when I watch most Dirty Loops reactions, I have so much to comment on. But I'ma try to keep it brief. That "bring it back" when it was over...it be like that with all their songs. They're over way too quickly. But that's because they're all so good. That horn you noticed is a double bell euphonium. You might be the first person I've heard describe the song as "sexy", but you're not wrong at all. About the setup: the two bands are in two different places for these collaboration videos. DL are in Sweden and Cory and the horns are in Minnesota. So they did a pretty good job trying to make settings. The drummer does a lot of the editing for DL videos and does pretty good work. I do hope you go down the DL rabbit hole cuz it's fun down here (been stuck in it for months). Please do "Next to You" specifically, though. Last thing: COME THROUGH with that "Redbone" at the beginning.

All their tracks are great but if you want bass check out Follow The Light and World On Fire as they both have dope solos! Work Shit Out has a 2+ minute FIRE drum solo too.

Friend that was one great reaction. Loops can be loved by anyone but I do think it's the musicians who really get it...and your heartfelt reactions were greatly appreciated. You had some really good commentary too. Dirty Loops are actually from Sweden and Aron's last name is a handful. His drum sound is also immaculate and I don't know if I've ever heard a better snare sound. For all of us Loops fans please do go down that rabbit hole. For your piece of mind there are no bad Loops songs...none so feel safe on that count. You'll get a lot of requests I'll just offer a couple-but again you can't go wrong. "Next to You", 'Rock You", "Wake Me Up" and "Follow the Light"-killer bass solo, Henrik is a master. So much great music ahead. Looking forward to going down that rabbit hole with you.

Hey, man! Nice reaction! The two belled horn you see is an early 20th century American double-belled euphonium. Close to a tuba (in the same family of conical bore instruments), but an octave higher.

Nice review, man! I've yet to watch a reaction reviewer that wasn't blown away by Dirty Loops, as others have noted, and I maintain, THE most talented and creative musicians ……full stop! Not a tuba, a Double Bell Euphonium, but the right family of instruments. Recommendation, to get a true feel for their brilliant virtuosity, start out with this relatively short instrumental piece from a side project they did recently called Songs For Lovers, and specifically, "Coffee Break is Over". After you've picked your jaw up off the floor, try, "Work Shit Out", and from there you're on your own because there are just too many phenomenal videos by these guys to catalog. If you want to hear the vocal run to beat all vocal runs, check out, "Hit Me" an earlier piece from 2014. You can thank me later, but I'll thank you now for joining the "DL club".
I've actually seen one who's first experience of DL was Next to You about a year ago. He was not grabbed at all. But he did Thriller last week and is now a fan. I also am not as keen on Next to You, but came across it 3rd/4th after I was already sold.

Man... I felt just like you until I got a feel of the groove. lol, I listened a few times and I am hooked. Let me tell you about me. I am from GARY, INDIANA, and Mike and I went to the same grad school. I used to look in their window when their dad had them practicing. He ran off my miniature butt and I didn't do that again. I went on and did 29yrs in the Army and became an SGM. I still have contact with the brothers and we listened to this via Skype, and we became emotional. I got to myself and my eyes began to sweat because Mike touched this band to re-create this. They let M.J. know they LOVE him and produced their VERSION of "THRILLER" and its pure creativity.
