I JUST saw them in NYC a week ago. They were off the charts (as you might expect) Great energy. Great audience outreach from both Henrik and Jonah. Aaron is a beast and just sat there quietly and unleashed his fury with complete skill. It was awesome. See them if you can.
I WAS AT THEIR CONCERT IN CHARLOTTE, NC LAST NIGHT! Best concert I’ve been to HANDS DOWN! It’s one thing to see quality musicianship on RU-vid videos… but it’s entirely different seeing it live! These guys are every bit as good live as you would imagine! They even played this song halfway through their set, and Henrik absolutely slayed!
@@setonhillstudios Oh absolutely! I’ve been replaying the videos I took during the concert throughout the day! One thing I forgot to mention earlier, before they started playing “Run Away” Henrik brought out the same Pink Bass that was used in the music video! And as soon as everyone in the crowd saw it, we all knew what was coming next 😂
Thanks for watching! Absolutely incredible! More to come for sure. We’ve covered a few of their tunes on the channel if you head to our home page you can find it under ’Bands and Groups.’ Have a great one!
So excited for their new album - can't wait! 😍 I've been to concert with them twice 2014 and 2023 - they are amazing. They are actually turing in the US at the moment... Aron edits the videos and you actually get the answer on who filmed this video in the credits: Miki Angrius.
Sweet! I bet that concert was straight 🔥 Such a talented group that really pushes the musical boundaries! You know when a new album is dropping? Thanks for swinging by!
@@setonhillstudios I don't think they've set a date for when the album is coming out, but Jonah said in an interview it would be out in the near future. My guess is they might release another single before the actual album, but I'm only guessing. And yeah those concerts were magical - I feel a bit like I'm having abstinences when I watch clips from their live performances at the moment... 😂
In the credits it says that Aron is playing a DW drum set and Sabian cymbals. But whilst they come as an acrylic set I have a sneaking suspicion that this setup here is just for the camera… honestly just totally guessing. But so much in this vid is eye candy and humour. Look at Aron’s pink tights and headband, Henrik’s four arms and splitz legs, -the whole crazy setup… Dirty Loops once had a merch video out and it was pretty hilarious (it’s been since taken down, might’ve been too irreverent ;) not sure). But this music vid reminds me heaps of it 🤣 They’re a bunch of trolls as well as geniuses 😅😱🔥 Still this is an epic song! Thanks for the reaction, loved it! ☺️👍🤘✌️
You are probably right about the drums! I know alot of drummers like the way they look when the lights hit them so it may have been just for visual effect! Yeah they are always clowning around which I love! Killer tune though!
You know why it reminds you of the merch video? Same location. :D Gorgeous music venue in Stockholm. I've played a concert with a symphonic wind band there once and it was so nice.
@@setonhillstudios I think this is a huge wink to the 80's rock set-ups. Notice the Van Halen-ish outfit and the Def Leppard font on the back of Aron's shirt. They are so silly. :D
@@lottawiklund8606 ooooooooo, sounds awesome, Lotta!! 🎷🎺🎷🎺 Good acoustics for you to play in? Yes, it definitely was the venue bringing back those merch video vibes, but also DL’s crazy antics… Shame that vid was taken down 😠
Saw them in my home town a few years ago. Auditorium, sitting audience. But man did we rock in those seats. Think I’d rather seen them in a club though.
Just worked security at Cannery Hall in Nashville for their concert last night. I'm not a fan of the genre, but they blew me away. Very talented regardless of musical taste.
The effect used is called Whammy, a pedal controlled crazy "pitch bend" effect, which originaly was conceived by Digitech in their "WH-1 Whammy" pedal in 1989 en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DigiTech_Whammy Henrik shows this perticular effect chain setup in this video, at 36:53, "Rig rundown - part 2" ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--IeJWaPZDzQ.htmlsi=-8TGFuutbaF9VqXX&t=2213
Great point! Yeah I’ve never played on one. I know Portnoy has used some over the years with DT but I think it’s more visual appeal when the stage lights hit them!
