YES I FINALLY FIGURED IT OUT! RU-vid tutorial of this coming hopefully by next month. This is basically a rendition of an edited script made by NermNelly and Nested Ernest where the camera follows player 1 and disables the split screen effect. It's not perfect as player 2 doesn't control the screen scrolling but I'll try and see if I can figure it out before I start making the tutorial.
