Hawaiian airlines..... really nice service..... really stupid company policies. I drove shuttle bus taking passengers to/from aulani. It was nice seeing Ko'olina early in the morning again. Traffic is horrible on the H1 because of all the military trying to get onto the Pearl Harbor/Hickam military bases. I really enjoyed seeing all the things you've done with your dear mother. Nice job on the videos.

Even though I gotta support my Detroit Tigers I'm still bummed for you that the Ray's lost. They seem like an awesome team and I know you were looking forward to hopefully going to more games. Agree Adam I think with you having booking that first extra hotel before you had to fly out should get the airlines to at least extend that credit for you. Wow not even a year on the refund seems nuts. Great vlog series on my bucket list!

I am currently planning our June 2024 trip. We'll be in Oahu for a week and the Big Island for a week. All your stops in Oahu are on my list and super helpful in my planning! We're staying on the North Shore so hopefully we'll do some more local stuff!
Great Vlogs of your Aulani trip -- The segment on the stadiums you haven't been to - try to get to Milwaukee. (Wrigley North.. :D ) There is no such "neighborhood" around the stadium, but a Wisconsin Tailgate is a for real thing. Also the stadium is a great venue with really good food / drink options. Looking forward to next year's baseball vlogs.

I’ve had great experiences on Hawaiian airlines both times I’ve flown to Hawaii, it’s hit or miss with any airline really. The Wi-Fi is probably a little more complicated over the ocean maybe? Really enjoyed this series .. thanks for sharing.
No it's not the ocean problem . I fly from Germany to the US every year with perfectly fine Wi-Fi ;) the airline must buy the converter and everything for the Wi-Fi on board and that's expensive 😅
Those islands you passed over are the Channel Islands national park. I would say an extremely underrated treasure here in California. Not too many people ever vlogged them. It's definitely worth a trip to explore there's sea caves, kelp forests, tons of wildlife including seal lions and seals maybe even whales, dolphins, and basking sharks.
It would be a a good idea for Alan the Woo to go out to Catalina and roam around, if he hasn't already done that. I personally get bored there after a few hours, but I bet it would make for a very good video.

That large airport you thought you were going to land at is Point Mugu. Its a naval base i(n Oxnard) and used to be the third otion behind florida and Palmdale for the Space Shuttle to land :)

Go back and stay outside the Disney bubble, travel to other islands, see the natural beauty of the islands. The Grand Canyon of the Pacific, the Na Pali coast, Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, Haleakala above the clouds on Maui - spectacular! Good luck to the Rays!
I was in Boston last week and took in my first Baseball game ⚾️ at Fenway Park .. missed the Rays game and watched the Red Sox beaten by the White Sox 🫣
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think k you have to rebook a flight before march....you should be able to fly in Sept. You just have to use that credit before March. The actual flight can be for after March. That's how it worked when I was a T.A
You seem to like the honolulu airport as much as i do. I love that open air concept. Been to Hawaii twice, going again end of April next year. First time i got off the plane, it was 11:30pm and i was so shocked at that concept. My wife and I were wondering who the third ticket at the pcc was for. Hopefully the 3 of you can go together next time.
As I’m watching this on my phone a news article pops up on my computer saying an Hawaiian Airlines flight leaving LA on Sunday was struck by lightening and had to turn back. Glad you and Mom had a good flight. Safe travels.
I'm from Oahu and when you were leaving Ko'Olina/Aulani (westside) @ 5:13 am I was like omg you're gonna hit lots of traffic. Adam I am so happy you went to Oahu, know it's Aloha and saw so much! Truly beautiful seeing it through your lens \!!!/
it does seem wild that it takes choke time to get one side to just Honolulu. if your flight is at 8am, leaving at 5 is just enough time to go roughly 20 miles.

I cant believe calif gas is more then Hawaii's! I like to sit behind the pilot for the leg room. I usually fly out of Ontario.......less probs. What a wonderful trip for Mom!!!
I appreciate how calm you are and thoughtful about resolving your problem with Hawaiian. I love Hawaiian Air and journey to Kauai every year. We fly out of Long Beach because there is less drama then LAX. Happy for your success and living the dream. Love your channel!
On the island of Oahu there are 1.2 million people. It seems all of the heading toward Honolulu in the morning The Morning rush hour here lasts from around 0500 to 0830 or even 0900 at times. If you had left a half an hour later, you would have probably run into even heavier traffic.
I'm so happy that you, and your Mom had such a great vacation. It's too bad the airlines' experience was such a bummer. You're right. It has nothing to do with an individual crew. We had no problems on our flights, but our friend experienced similar issues to yours. Thank you for telling us why you're Dad wasn't there. 👏🏻🤠 ⚾️

Adam, do you know why the Rays only drew 19,704 yesterday for a playoff game? The Rays fans not showing up are a big topic of conversation today. Just thought I'd ask since your such a good Rays fan.
If the cancelation was for medical reasons they make an exception with proof but as the cancelation policy was stated before purchase they may not help you - in your favor is the fact it was first class - when you call ask for concierge customer service/supervisor
i dont believe you need to fly somewhere when you use the hawaiian airlines credit. I think you just need to BOOK the flight by the march date . that be a question to ask
Wow, for what you paid for first class, that was a dated cabin. No built in IFE screen, no wifi, dinky pillow, average brunch. Definitely not what I would consider first class other than the flat lie seat. Doesn't make me want to fly Hawaiian anytime soon.
Personally I don’t know why he always has to show off his money telling people oh I booked first class maybe he should be saving some if he pulled it all out of the stock market I don’t believe he did even though he said he did and bought into a very expensive vacation club dude will go broke quick especially with everything going up
Aloha Adam, I had the same problem with my ticket. We had to rebook before the expiration date but we did travel after that date. LAX is such a long walk from the Hawaiian gate to the front, we now fly from Oahu to Long Beach Airport. The rent a car is right across the street and ride share will be right out front. It is a shorter ride to Anaheim. Mahalo for staying and visiting us.
Love LGB, even for short flights from NorCal the flights are almost always less expensive, even with a slightly longer Lyft ride to Anaheim the cost is overall better. Plus the airport is tiny & easy.
@@TheDailyWoo Yeah I agree that is a problem, especially that close to travel day! I had my family flight on Hawaiian canceled last month but the flight isn’t actually until November. I was able to rebook for another flight but now have a layover rather than nonstop. I was mad about that so I would definitely be upset if I were in your shoes that close to leaving. Thank you for the great content. I’m also your age (49) and it’s nice to see you doing trips with your mother. My Mom will be coming along with me on my trip next month as well.
"There's a lot more traffic in Hawaii than I kinda sorta thought there would be." Ha. That H1 and H2 traffic was bad even in the 1980s. The advantage of sitting on the starboard side of the plane as you left was that you could see other islands.
Had wondered why dad didn't go, glad you told us! Wonderful Hawaii series! One of these days I will get there again. Visited Hawaii once for 22 hours on the way back from deployment. Wasn't nearly long enough! Rays have a lot of injuries, that's what is hurting them this year, as you know. Hopefully they can pull a win in the next 2 games.
@@TheDailyWooAdam, you don’t need a Hawaiian visa to open a frequent flier account. With the miles you’ll earn by flying fm the west coast to Hawaii, it won’t tak long to earn a free flight. It’s worked for me and I don’t fly nearly as often as you do. Plus, if your mom opens one, you can transfer miles.
Never been a fan of Hawaiian Airlines. I sure miss Virgin America which used to be the best way to Hawaii. My current recommendation is Delta First Class. Superior in every way.
