Even if the engines not been damaged that poor old disco will have problem after problem now with its electrics! Doing this is fine if it’s a quick wade even at this level but why anyone would even try this without having a fully watertight air intake and a raised or water proof ECU is beyond me! As for the lad saying start it and rev it up to clear it through… not the best advice I’ve heard.

Right, so it's in gear and the wheels don't go round still so it's clearly hydrolocked (not hard on a high CR derv engine) and they say "see if it will start" :-) lol, right, that's gonna work ain't it.. (Drop the glow plugs, spin it to clear the water, dry the MAF, then try. if you're lucky the rods ain't bent the rings aint broke, but chances are that's very dead indeed......

Great couple of episodes Lee, makes me miss my off-roading days! I do have a TD5 myself still but unmodified.... at the minute anyway!

I watched these last 2 episodes and thought ok there’s some bits id do different defo have tested that water first but hey ho . I thought throttle mayhem who are these people lees out with I was about to get on the band wagon and thought let’s give them a shot I’ve got Covid so not working 😢 So I watched there first ever vid then second then third then I was hooked These guys are pure nuts. Lee you must go out with them again. Not only did they have off-roading they had cooking abandoned buildings campsite meets they have loads going on THROTTLE MAYHEM are really funny and seriously extreme I take back my thoughts at that time 😢😢😢😢 but Defo give them a watch

Not funny, not clever, had the car continued in to the heavy flow, it would have been a matter of survival. Simply reckless, no appreciation of the dangers. Instead of laughing, the video maker should do his utmost to dissuade those trying to cross the swollen stream. Imagine the cost and risk to life in an emergency rescue.

Living in the bush in Tanzania during the 50' & 60' this was a commonplace during the rainy season. Its amusing to me that its a hobby/sport in the UK. I did however secretly enjoy getting stuck in our various series 1's & 2's. Have fun..

make sure on your airbox on the td5 the drain plug is sealed up with silicone cause even if you have a snorkel it will get sucked in through there good vid as always keep on offroading
