The fact they all go quiet at the same time really suggested they go together

I love how sound is such a huge role in Minecraft. Everything has a distinct sound and a lot of things share the same sounds (mostly blocks), but the music is iconic as well. From having different soundtracks for different biomes to some kind of record player, it shows the progression and depth that sound has alone. The nostalgia and complicated theories of Minecraft have only begun and I hope we get more official lore and areas to explore aside from what has already been confirmed. Also! The technology in this game is insane. From magic to redstone, it shows how the world evolved before we, the player, arrived.

i love that minecraft is set after the destruction of a world, signs of old magic, civilisations, tech, etc but we're here to rebuild and live

PLEASE READ: I just went into a Minecraft world to test this and I found that it sounds jarbled and crazy when all disks are played immediately after one another as in the video. Instead, count to 15 (full seconds) not 12345 but full seconds, use a timer if necessary. Then on 5 play the "5" disk, on 11 play the "11" disk and on 13 play the "13" disk. It tells a more comprehensive story I feel and sounds much better.

This is truly creep af. It's weird how they seem to fit each other and go so well together. Interesting.....

I believe the story this is trying to tell is a story of a person going to the deep dark and being chased into the 4th dimension in the middle of the city by the warden. the sound of flint and steel is him trying to light the portal. And once he gets to the other side he is attacked by an unseen force.

Maybe the real lore is the friends we made along the way

Hear me out, at 1:10 someone is running from something, blocks themselves in with dirt, you can then hear a ping sound, I’m guessing a end portal eye because you can hear lava bubbling along with a silverfish noise which are both things present in the stronghold, it also makes sense as you hear building sounds in the background, and the stronghold was supposedly built by the lost race or whatever they were called. Not certain on this theory but I am almost certain I’m right about there being a stronghold and it being built in that time segment in the discs

At 1:17 they all seem to cut out at the same time. It's insane. Kind of creepy.

i would be amazing if we had to get the 3 cursed disc and play them at the portal to open it would be beter than just geting a flint and steel

When the new disc came out, I Immediately knew that this would fit with the other two discs. Nobody really listened to me, so thank you for making this video. Hopefully they add more creepy stuff to Minecraft. I love creepy stuff.

I think the story is told by one player, one survivor. With all the discs like this its clearer, heres what I think is happening 0:22 Player is running from something, you hear Players breath and something elses. 0:31 Player has reached a safe enough spot to light some sort of fire its also at this time we hear approaching marching footsteps 0:45 the marching continues but to me its sounds almost like "shh" the sounds then get quieter. 0:51 There is a noise, i assume from the Warden or maybe the wither (you hear the slowed death sound of the wither later on) 0:55 Disc 5 distorts and plays music while the player is opening a book, the music almost sounds like a lullaby maybe to signify that the Player may be going to deep sleep very soon, as it goes on the player gets more and more panicked until the weird dog sound can be heard. We no longer hear those guards. Maybe the Player knew what was going to happen ahead of time 1:19 A soft humming can be heard. Like a portal thats been opened. 1:22 The soft portal noise is interupted with static and then there lava and what I assume to be the Player breaking amethyst, and then souls can be heard. The Player only breaks one, one amethyst shard can be used to make a spyglass. (Theory Tangent incoming) But what would they need a spyglass for deep underground? I dont think that when these discs were created and the events that went on they werent that far underground. Which is why you can hear phantoms, dirt, and wind. I think they were preparing to get far away from all this, it would explain why he was down there in the first place gathering materials, it explains why we hear phantoms because they havent slept, anyone who has done long cave expeditions dont sleep and its always a fun surprise to find Phantoms ready to dive bomb you. But why? It could go back to waht I pointed out earlier, they knew what was coming. 1:38-1:51 we hear souls and the Players tools clinking along. Players heavy breathing with ambient sound effects. He builds up to something, that something I can only assume is the portal because we hear the same soft humming sound, they do something causing the Portal to react, whether that be to turn it off or fully activate it. 1:51 - 2:10 the disc ramps up and we hear it sort of suspend and then a thud in the distance followed by water. 2:14 - 2:17 The sound we hear suddenly gets really close, the Player climbs down in fear to possibly escape it. Or to lead it. As I said earlier, we dont hear anyone else after those guards. They could be the last one standing. The scapres against a stone like substance is heard and then what could very well be the portals final shut down! 2:24 - 2:31 The reverse glass could those souls getting absorbed by the warden whether that was the players intent or not. We hear the souls screaming and then silence 2:32 is just the player breathing and walking 2:46 - 3:12 The player activates the sculk. Alerting the either wounded Warden or the now reborn Warden of the Players whereabouts. The portal noise plays again which might be the Players final attempt to escape the Warden. TLDR: I think the Player knew what was happening. But what is unclear is if they were trying to save the city or help in its destruction. Either way after its too late and they are alone he collects more materials and some kind of showdown went down. But I dont think it went according to Players plan. I think the Player might be the bad guy in this story and us the new Player are here to uncover what they have done, and why we are now roaming the infite world alone. (I havent slept so if this doesnt make sense then thats why but yea)

The 3 Sound So Good Together. There might be another Disc that Takes the Deep Dark Lore to the Next Level. Possibly These 3 are now hinting at a Dimension. but when they are all played together. They sound like they are from the same Disc. Matched Up. Edit after 4 months of post UH WASNT EXPECTING THIS XD but seriously in the future they might do that, We Just Wont know if they add a new dimension. The Video from Minecraft final secrets episode was mysterious purple hue at the end. which could be hinting at a archeology update because of mystery or another update to update the end because of the purple hue. we wont know but today is the day it will get revealed. this comment will be edited when the update is revealed.

Why does it sound like a futuristic rail system or some sort of transportation? (Towards the end) maybe in the dimension it’s like an abandoned utopian overgrown city.

Guys, There must be a hidden key date behind this ! (these are the only 3 discs with a number as a name and to make a complete date you need 3 numbers), the possible dates with these numbers are : | 13/11/2005 | 05/11/2013 | 11/05/2013 | 13/11/2005 | 13/05/2011

1. A little bit about the story is that you could hear phantom sounds. So just know a RU-vidr mentioned this while trying to decode the lore, he mentioned how Steve was being chased by a wither and he attempts to do a ritual. A ritual to save him, the warden was spawned and after battle the wither would die. 2. another RU-vidr also mentioned how steve went to another dimension using the portal. And on there he stumbles across lava and a warden, he blocks himself up by using dirt and stone as heard in the tape.

Some things I noticed : The sweet music of 5 starts at the time as the character from 11 opens their book (~ 0:55)and ends at the same time the blocks stop being placed (~ 1:08) At 2:06 of 5 there is an impact, which happens regularly about 10 times more except at ~2:10 where there is a splash on 13 Both 5 and 13 have one louder impacts/booms before that They are very coherent together, but are very confusing alone... at three it's like you can hear and understand the story better There seems to be an echo on 13 at around 1:25, almost the same time a portal is opened in 5. Some similar musics also play at the same time on 13 and 5 (~ 1:36 to 1:46) when 11 stopped, 5 and 13 changed. Both 5 and 13 were silent at 1:53, but 13 before, while 5 had some weird reversed sound effect going on. At 2:21 5 briefly became silent while 13 was just wind blowing... I feel like 11 is the perspective of a character (ancient civilisation? pre-player?) and their actions, 5 would be the environment around them that hears the "consequences" of the actions and the ambient sounds... maybe partly by the warden because the disck is fragmented ;] ? Or their mind (SOUL?) at some points? 13 would be an outside observer (enderman?), watching from far and hearing the global environment To reinforce the theory that 5 is partly heard by a warden (or simply sculk?) we don't hear the impacts of 13 in 5 and vice versa, as if in 5 we only hear the "vibration" of the thund but not the water or a big thing colapsing in the background and 13 can't the reapeted thunds as they are vibrations!

It’s almost like the three of them together tell a complete story

Man, it's so interesting how unsettling these three played together are. I haven't listened to 5 on its own, but 13 and 11 played together or apart don't even compare to how creepy this combination is.

they always had the idea that deep down minecraft having horror survival aspects with it being hidden where and what, but even at the early updates there were signs of sheer terror that hid under the surface, and this update encapsulates the entire "hidden" and "Deep" terror in both literal and figurative ways.

This is insane… Gives me chills… Just the other day when I was in the nether listening to all the new ambient sounds I got chills just like this gave me. But I was wondering what exactly the sounds could be. Like the nether scream that stops suddenly after it reaches an ear-piercing volume, and the distant sound of metal(?) clanging in the nether horizons. I really want to know what all these sounds are. I think searching for more lore in forms of audio is a wonderful idea. What else about minecraft have we overlooked?

These sound almost unreasonable nice being over layed. Like now anywhere their isn't audio being over layed it feels like we're missing more pieces of the story. Necessary pieces. fascinating. The vision springing in to my mind is this somehow is playing a slice of what the city life was before it became abandoned, ruined and possibly even buried... Regiments of armed guards marched the streets, while the remains of the populace linger about in destitution. Strange magics corrupted the land and its people, till the final desolation left only the skulk and the ruins in its wake. thats my head cannon now atleast

This is amazing lore put into little sounds on discs!! Watching this explains so much and looking back at the comments somewhat pieces together the events going on in these few minutes of exploration. I can't quite combine it all due to not being able to play Minecraft freely for a while. But the player is OBVIOUSLY running from something horrid and trying to save his world.

I find it weird nobody is talking about the secret room. I went exploring in creative mode, dug underneath the largest alter with all the candles, and there were redstone contraptions.

At first, these 3 sound coherent together, with different features lining up. But if you know the behind-the-scenes of it, this may not be the case; 11 and 13 are far older (they have been in the game longer) than 5. Then again, both may be correct- the discs may be separate and apart. 5 may have been created not just as a record of a player's warden encounter, but also to tie 13 and 11 together in lore.

I've been debunking Minecraft stuff for such a long time like herobrine and other stuff So I might need to look further into this thank you for doing it Cause we might have new lore to tune on

How did no one realize this sooner, absolutely mind boggling

11 and 13 have both been out for a while. For cases of lore, perhaps those two are connected somehow and the devs made 5 for the purpose of connecting all three? But I don't think the devs had The Wild Update in mind waaaaaay back when they released the other two discs. I only say that because Mojang tends to listen to popular request on updates and seem to implement lore with the new updates as they go along... I could be wrong though.

Maybe the people who made the ancient city were highly advanced and found a way to travel to other dimensions but when they opened the portal the sculk came out and started spreading and killing everything

It's so crazy that we have these terrifying discs and then the absolute banger of Pigstep in the same game.

This is probably foreshadowing either the deep dark starting from the disc 11 because of the heavy stomping and cave noises, or the wither as there is a bit of the wither's sfx, and or either its a player ( steve ), goes into the minecraft realms and explore and found himself in a cave, then the nether, and then the deep dark and its from his perspective.

I feel like during all of this the deep dark is some ancient fossilized city that was more advanced than our (steve's) wildest dreams. What with all the dimension hopping and everything it could be possible that at one point time travel was possible and they had to escape to the future in order to survive.

I was expecting a garbled mess, but that is weirdly (and eerily) coherent.

So that may be the reason why disc 5 is shattered and disc 11 is broken as well. We knew from the sound before someone is running away from something. Now I guess we found the source. But there it opened up a lot more questions.

The way the music in 5 and 13 sync up is rather amazing... ..ly disturbing. I love it.

I am absolutely in love with the environmental story telling Minecraft has been doing. They leave cryptic ideas around that leave so much to the imagination. Like what connection do the sand , jungle and ocean temples have? What's with the obviously de-activated portal in the middle of the Deep Dark Cities. What use could the Warden possibly have? Why does the end have scraps of possible civilization strewn about with ships made for travelling the skies. How is the Nether so rich in gold and quartz? What exactly is Ancient Debris? A piece of dragon scale from time immemorial? Alien metals fused together from thousands of years of heat and pressure? Artifacts from the pre-piglin society? The End, Nether and Sculk all seem to be "otherworldly" forces. All alien and "supernatural" in many aspects, each offering an entirely different experience than the last. The End being a barren wasteland with millions of block of empty void and very little habitable space. The Nether being infested with terrifying creatures fascinated with gold, striders capable of walking through lava and hogs hell bent on killing anything in sight with the mysterious warped and crimson and soul sand biomes all filling the space between the wastes. And the Sculk being something entirely... *Alien* There's so much to take and run wild with and I love all of it.

This comment is gonna be long but. I think the story of these discs are not meant to be played at the same time but in a sequence. Disc 5 is when a group of players before steve existed. Had special flint and steel which could light up the portal. Which then the portal turns on. Which then the music is blocked like it's transitioning to the next act. Then they are at what sounds like a nether portal because they have to build it and light it. Then we transit to the next act which is when they make too much sound and the warden comes from the ground then fights the players. Now we end up to disc 11. We play them both at the same time. Disc 11 is the disc where you can hear one player. We assume that he was the only survivor. Then he had another attempt to light up the portal in the ancient city. Then the warden finds him and starts chasing him. As the player runs he almost escapes but the warden kills him and breaks the disc in the progress. Disc 13 is just there to make it sound more creepy. But this is why disc 11 is broken and so is disc 5. But disc 13 has no cracks so this could be a possibility that disc 13 doesnt matter in the story. The lore of Minecraft is alot in the discs it self.

I have to say the lords in these discs are very interesing. When I finally listened to disc 5, I was thinking that they opened or were trying to open a portal and unleashed something more worse than the warden itself. I really hope we see a fourth dimension soon, can't wait to see.
