I recently blacked out and I came to this realisation, only reason why I wasn't dead yet was because my parents kept me alive, my friends put me on life support, and because I lived off of their pity. Since then I went through drastic changes, and honestly the timing of me being an alcoholic wallowing in self pity and discovering this game was truly a blessing

When I was like that, depressed I mean, crying was something I sometimes intentionally induced because after 20 minutes of crying I would feel numb for hours
When I first played through the game I never actually found my gun. Then the gun fight scene happened. I watched a lot of them die, but I dodged a bullet and saved Kim from getting shot. Still woke up 3 days later, solved the murder and recruited Kim to precinct 41st. This game will never leave my mind.
I got through like 2-3 playthroughs before actually having the conversation where you learn what "the pale" is, aka the most important part of the games lore.
If it wasn't action packed and badass, that's on you. You made your Harry, after all. Next time try playing with Half Light and high Physique/Motorics.
I think my favorite thing about this meme, is that the black haired boy regardless of how crazy his future self is, they are still friends with the others future selves and come through the portal to meet themselves
I know many people have said this before, but Harry Dubois is literally me. Like straight up I'm an alcoholic and super depressed. I became a detective and solved tons of cases. I even went to this place called Martinaise and solved a super crazy murder that was link to a future civil war. I even found a huge fucking bug.

I discovered Harry's track record with the papers. When I got the badge all I felt was shock due to what Harry had done with the car. I didn't even have the heart to ask Kim if rank was the only reason he put up with my bullshit.

disco elysium is literally the best piece of art i have ever experienced. i legit get extremely sad when i remember i can never play it again like the first time.

This video got me to blind install this game. I typically hate this genre because I’m impatient, but this game is very special. Phenomenal art direction and voice acting
Harry is always an *_incredible_* detective, one of the best RCM ever have in fact. Solving 216 cases (If you just finished the game, it's become 219 or 220 cases) in 18 years of service while dealing with alcoholism and depression is no joke. Even Kim which already in the force for two years longer than Harry, only ever finished half of Harry's case load. It can be justified that he got stuck on Juvenile Crime Unit for 15 years, but Kim is sane and *functional* compared to Harry. Harry just _literally_ thinking outside of the box in solving his cases. If his shell is just _that_ good, imagine how good he is on his prime.
I bought disco elysium thanks to this video and it was one of the most unique things that I've experienced a truly unforgettable experience. So, I come back to this video once a while, feels good. Side note: Thank you calacion, for introducing me and many others to a masterpiece.
I’m happy I have my family and friends, otherwise I could definitely see myself in the same situation as our Harrier Du Bois. In fact all I’m lacking is drugs and alcohol.
Just finished this game yesterday. I have never played a game that made me sad, but the dream sequence (you know which one I mean) made me legit shed a tear. Even more emotional, because I was playing it with Tequila Sunset actually wanting to change

I’m literally that young boy Broh. When I was a kid I thought everything would turn out fine. Id go to school get a job live a normie life style but, then I became a raging alcoholic after some trauma and almost died trying to walk up a short set of stairs; after a hangover of heavy binge drinking which lead me to being in the hospital for over 2 weeks recovering. This basically turned my life into a whole A disco Elysium reference.
