In this video I will be exploring some of my favorite rarities that I have found in my years on Discogs. Hope you enjoy and that others will make their own versions as well! #vinylcommunity #vinylcollector #discogs #rarevinyl
It's an interesting insight into one of the particular stripes of obsession that vinyl collecting becomes. Looking forward to part 2! The reason Alberts would have needed a cash grab is largely because ACDC almost bankrupted the label and it wasn't until Back In Black began to take off in 1981 that the band finally managed to clear their debts to the label!
Rich, well presented. I do tend to use Discogs more than Ebay because of the wider variety, but both platforms occasionally will have some bargains. Thanks, Chris
Great points there, Christopher. I think I just give eBay more attention now since I can actually bid up a record and then bail when it exceeds my price point. Much of what I look for on Discogs just has a set price that's FAR above my price point already.
The Clash one’s rare as hell in the UK as well, and this is where it came out!! Only ever saw this once on the back shelf displayed behind the counter of a second hand record shop in Manchester! And the picture sleeve was a bit torn and the record was well enjoyed too, and it was something daft like £80 quid! So not surprisingly I left it!!!!
Cool video.i just started selling on discogs, my first sale a motley crue record for $200! Pretty happy with the take it or leave it part.only one ebay purchase so no comparison.had two bad discogs though one got refund.the other I forgot I even ordered until years later and it never came😂 oh well
I have purchased very few records on Discogs, mostly because of shipping costs (and Canada seems like the most expensive place to ship to). I would love all of these, but mostly the Clash item!
Yup, I grew up In SoCal but lived in Oxnard for about 10 years long ago. The sweatshirt was actually merch for Anderson.Paak's "Oxnard" album a few years back (he's from there, too).
