I think it's a good buy Getting use to riding it then if you feel you need to upgrade then you have the scope to do it and it still work out economical to do so
Just replaced my x-fusion 130 with the fox 34 performance elite, saved 1.5 pounds off my bike. Now I can ridecwith no hands even with lite chatter. Totally worth the change for me, just like a new bike day
@lovemtb just bought a SC34 Factory FIT4 in a 51mm offset. Crazy clear out at The Bike Zone, something like 40% off. Hadn’t tried a 51mm offset until now so thought I’d give it a shot. In your comments you said something like “no one using a 51mm offset these days” and curious why you said that. Why is that the case? Fork installed on a 2021 Epic Evo setup in ‘high/steep position’. Typical riding for me is more on the XC side.
Should be just fine, difference is subtle. On my son’s Epic Evo we use a Sid might get him on a 34SC next year. 51mm offset was meant to help with the poor geometry of the early 29ers to provide a bit more stability, nothing else. These days there is no need for it as the bikes are designed a lot better already.

I just got mine with 50% discount according to the seller :) Cant wait to upgrade from my Rockshox Judy silver... anybody knows how easy it is to install the remote lockout? I saw a couple videos on YT, it looks pretty straight forward.

I had such low expectations given all the bad reviews on the fit4 damper, and I'd probably be disappointed had I paid $900 for it, but so glad I went with it. Noticeably better than the Rhythm and considerably lighter as well. Well worth the price! Thanks again for the video!
I won't buy any Fox forks due to the creaking CSU. At least not at full price, new. But It's easy for me to get second hand Fox forks in Norway to quite nice price. I've Seen even 38 creaks.
The funny thing is I bought one of these about 2 months ago from Fox, and the description says it's a 2024. I bought it at about a 20% discount and right now it's about a $100 less on the Fox website. It's a performance elite 29" 140mm, grip 2.
The bearings in my backwheel trashed everything, buying a (cheap ass) new wheel would be saving quite a bit instead of repairing. With that in mind I went searching and came across an awesome deal. Bought a lightweight XC alloy wheelset from Hunt (XC race). About 1550grams MS body included. Amazing discount (and another 50 buck off after singing up for their newsletter). Not only replacing my backwheel, but also replacing the front one and saving a bunch of weight without paying the big bucks.
A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to buy a new Fox 34 on Kashima with FIT4 and 140mm travel. It's true that it's made in 2017, but the price is 440 in US dollars. In my opinion, it's a good price. What do You think?
You can on this FIT4, one just needs to replace the top part of the damper aka the switch with correct version of the remote interface. There are push to lock and push to unlock versions, so check what remote lever you have.
