I don’t get it when people say Detroit is boring. I’ve been to most major cities in the USA and outside of NYC and L.A., there’s no city that just stands out as being a lot of fun. Some cities might be good for shopping, others good for clubs or museums but after that, there’s not much that makes them stand out as “fun cities.” I think Detroit’s restaurant scene is outstanding. They also have a sports team for every major sport and great museums as well as a great theater district. Detroit might not be the greatest city but right now it might be coming back up at a faster pace than most major cities

Detroit has alot to offer. Belle Isle, Greenfield Village, Motown Museum, Detroit Zoo, Henry Ford Museum, Detroit Institute of Arts, Fox Theater, Greektown, Ford auto plant tours, three casinos downtown, and all 4 major sports teams with stadiums clumped together, which hardly any other city can claim. Detroit is really getting nice downtown and the out skirts of it. City has a ways to go, though. Numerous run-down neighborhoods need to get revitalized and getting the crime down more, which actually has been going down slowly.
looks like we could make an updated video on Detroit with this amazing list of places to visit! We had a BLAST while in Detroit, and we could totally feel the progress the city is making! Unfortunately, time didn't permit us to visit other places, but we have received multiple comments and emails on Greenfield village & Ford Museum among many other great places!
Nice Video. The Detroit Institute of Arts is a must! Across the street is the Detroit Historical Museum along with the Detroit Public Library. The Ford F-150 plant tour departs from the very interesting Henry Ford Museum. Bike the Dequindre Cut to Eastern Market.
Next time you guys visit here you should go to the Mexican neighborhood it’s only like 10 minutes away from downtown with some of the best Mexican food in the country there!
