I personally like the brown color over the true red that's used for the footballs. That coffee-like depth of color is great.

I personally prefer the brown, because that’s what the NFL footballs look like on the field. I think people would instantly “get” that it’s football leather.

There is no pine tar applied to game balls. They mud them them to get them game ready; much like baseball.

My grandfather was born and raised minutes from horween and your shop, he used to have one of your and when he was buried they put it in the casket. I wanted his wallet so bad, I have tried to order wallets that kinda look like his from other companies , but what they call shell is I don't know, but one day I will be able to afford one and order from you. You guys make the nicest stuff I've ever seen and another reason I can't wait to get one is knowing it will be made with horween leather and growing up around that factory

I personally love the red because when it naturally patinas, you get a nice brown color with red undertones.

Football enthusiast think that they need to rub mud on their horween leather footballs because they see NFL teams do it and think it somehow helps the leather. This may be ok if you're only looking to use a ball for a few plays maybe a game but if you want your horween leather football to last years to come it's a bad idea I've tried telling this to consumers but they don't listen
