You simply wont believe some of the wonderful artefacts that have been found in the River Thames over the years. On Sunday 2nd July I visited the Hands on History Exhibition at Cutlers' Hall in London and met some of the Mudlarks who have found some extraordinary objects whilst out mudlarking. See their finds and hear the stories behind them here.
With Thanks to every Mudlark who spoke to me and showed me finds that day.
You need a permit to mudlark on the River Thames. Currently the Port of London Authority are not issuing any new permits. Keep an eye on their website for further updates.
Thank you for watching.
See you soon.
Nicola White

A thousand thank-you's, Nicola, for interviewing, making the video on site, editing, etc. So glad you were there to share with the rest of us. Hearty thanks to all the mudlarks who shared and to the crew that put it all together -- especially Monika, Marie, and Jason. Kudos to ALL!

Even when I saw the title I got excited! This was brilliantly filmed/edited. Thank you SO very much for doing this. I’ve watched it twice & will watch again. Sean Clark’s token & research was incredible. Mudlarking can bring the past to life again. And all the people interviewed were still excited about their finds & sharing the history. Thank you thank you!! Really loved this. ⭐️💙⭐️💙

While watching a video about the excavations at Jamestown (the first English colony in the US) a man pulled out from a well a nearly intact Bartmann jug. The narrator didn't even say anything about this particular find. It turns out that they found many broken Bartmanns there in Jamestown. I thought you might enjoy knowing this. 😉
