I have often thought of adding longfinned cherries ... Excellent profile as always I have a few common cheeries but only a trio..

That male is particularly bright red in comparison to the other males in the group, think we will now try and breed that male as he is a stunner, had them maybe a year and a half so probably need to get on that asap! Thanks for the comment Chris :)

Stunning footage! I have some Cherry Barbs, but these long fin are quite beautiful! I just might need to incorporate some into my tank. The red is so vibrant on these little guys 🤩

Thanks for sharing your thoughts Jim! We are setting up a breeding tank for these right now as that male is particularly vivid in colour so we will hopefully have a species only tank full of these ❤️

Not really found that but it’s very dependent on what you keep with them, started keeping them with other barbs and it happened but currently in their own aquarium and no rips, shredded tails! So can def see why you would comment that but in our experience it’s down to tank mates bud! Do appreciate the comment and experience ❤️

See a lot of the less red ones in the hobby, probably just poor breeding from the breeders not selecting the reddest fish for the breeding sadly! Seems the long fin are brighter than the short fins so probably just better breeding stock bud
