man sometimes I learn more practical instruction from watching your videos then a 1 hr. tactics class at my gym. I spar and have a smoker coming up. This video helped a lot thanks. Especially for the Muay Kao guard.

Hey coach, a question about the Muay khao guard. It makes a lot of sense and my coach preach this is the best way to block punches to reduce impact on your head. I was wondering why we don’t see this cage-like guard more in boxing? Is it cus they have more upper body movement for rolling punches and slipping? Their guard is typically tight against their face and their wrists are slightly curled the opposite direction of what’s shown in the video. Thanks!

I use the second guard, but my right hand is closer to my chin and more sideways. My left arm is a bit more extended and I use it to annoy my opponent's view

I use the beginner straight up and down arm guard only for baiting those straight shots down the middle then slipping/ countering. But I love the palms open and long guard for just being defensive and not looking for counters as my default guard. Definately don’t love the third guard the Dutch guard for bracing for open side kicks lol

Hello coach, I'd like to ask you about a video on how to set up a low kick. Several times, my opponent has seen it coming, and I've ended up hitting with the end of my shin his shin. Or alternatively, at what angle send the low kick. I've heard that a low kick sent from top to bottom hits the opponent with the edge of the shin, reducing the risk of injury, but I'm not sure about the truth of that. Thanks.
