The dancer you really liked is Hara :) Very talented girl. Sadly, she passed away in 2019...

I was a very new Kpop fan when Kara's iconic lineup came back with 'honey' and let me tell you, the craze after Goo Hara was unreal! In the beginning, people could not fathom the fact that she was real. Her doll-like features were so extraordinary that even industry experts were smitten. And then when they saw her perform, everyone wanted to either be her or be with her. Musically, Kara has broken many Kpop rules and it's hard to notice now when there are so many new Kpop groups doing it but imaging them dropping Pandora back in those times. ICONIC. QUEENS.

Got me missing Hara so hard. This is the first time in a long time listening to them again. So happy you started discovering them

So happy that Pandora is a part of this. It’s my favorite title track from them. KARA is also on the same level of SNSD in that they were one of THE kpop groups in Japan. They have a lot of Japanese tracks. Very different sound, obviously.

When they started making music for the GIRLS I'm convinced this is when they became the real KARA. Anyone who dislikes Mamma Mia doesn't have taste and I'll die on that hill 😤

Okay so they debuted as 4. Flopped. Main vocalist left due to parental pressure. Hara and Jiyoung were added. OT5 is what most know KARA as. Damaged Lady was that OT5’s final comeback. Nicole (blonde in Pandora) and Jiyoung (blue hair in Pandora) left the group to pursue solo work. Nicole been trying to get that solo career going. She had the makings to be this gen’s Lee Hyori but management failed her (I say that because Lee Hyori was in DSP’s 1st Gen girl group Fin.K.L). Jiyoung went to Japan and did acting gigs there (she was in the live action remake of Assassination Classroom, which is pretty cool). DSP held The KARA Project to find who to add. Was a show with 7 DSP trainees. (Lots happened with the show. One girl took her own life years after since she was let go from the company and thought she was too old to debut anymore). Youngji won. So she was added to the group. (Another girl of note is Soomin. She was part of the project and is now in KARD). The new OT4 only had 2 Korean comebacks, Mamma Mia and Cupid, before the other members left the company. The reunion is with Gyuri, Seungyeon, Nicole, Jiyoung and Youngji.

I’ve never really checked out KARA but it was fun watching along with you! Made me really want to see if you’d like 9MUSES, but I don’t think they’re popular enough for you to get enough requests for them, they are criminally underrated

Mama Mia is my energy boost I'm so happy when I listen to it

Mamamia was such a bop, i listen to it until this day, I discovered them with Step i was shook i love Damaged lady too

i miss KARA so much T__T they were my second fav girl group of all time, after WG... they have such a timeless sound and great uplifting melodies

KARA is one of the majestic 5 of 2nd gen girlgroups along with Girl's generation (snsd), 2ne1, Wondergirls & T-ara...simply one of the best of besr...Kara was highly popular in the japanese market...I mouth jawed when pandora was released back in 2012...it was an uber cool comeback...and still listen to this song to this day...thank u for appreciating our lovely hara

I miss second gen of kpop idols esp the girl groups. Glad you're reacting to one of them, KARA. They will always be one of my favs and not to forget, I am so excited for their upcoming comeback.

The Full Bloom album (Damaged Lady) has my favorite B-sides! Check it out. Pandora would be next on my list, as far as B-sides.

They almost only have hype-songs as title track, but they have the most sweet and cute side tracks. Even in their first album, when they did a kind of hiphop-themed title track, their side tracks where incredible sweet. A lot of Kara tracks also hava a distinct and groovy bass line. One of my all time favouite sidetracks is 'follow me' from full bloom album. It is so groovy, chill, sweet and still dancable

Honestly watching this reaction I think you would have loved watching Hara cover of Beyonce "Crazy in Love" she did with another member it was an amazing performance and my introduction to Kara back in 2015.

We'll always remember Goo Hara.

Their solo songs are bops that still hold up even over the nostalgia. Seungyeon's Guilty was rock/alternative. Hara did Cute Pop while Nicole did more mature pop.

A great mid-tempo song from them is Runaway! It's on their Lupin album and it's just sooooo good.
