I swear, Kentucky never disappoints! There are a LOT of rocks in Kentucky, and in this video specifically the rocks are Ordovician in age which is around 450 million years old. Finding marine fossils in the middle of the country is truly something to behold. Hope y'all enjoy the video!

Love the Platystrophia and Hebertella brachs. I worked in Kentucky a few years back and collected several examples of them. For any persons interested in collecting some brachs, I collected them near Taylorsville, KY (4-5 miles east of the intersection of highways 44 and 55). Kyle, I would love to collect fossils with you if you ever make it to Huntsville, Alabama.

27 minutes and RU-vid never notified me!!! and I have all notifications on for you! The 💩's !! @6:53 WHOA what a stunner Natalie!!! You must name hims Baby Jaws! Kyle @9:00 it resembles an Owl face! So cool! Natalie's @10:15 is stunning but I still love Baby Jaws! KYLE!! LOOK at you going and scoring magnificent finds also! The 2 of you are knocking it out with the amazing crystals in the brach's! The ones that go all the way through are remarkable! Do you know what would be really beautiful? If someday, if you don't already, when you have your Forever Home, if you had like a tall-ish concrete foundation, porch or wall(s) and put as many of your beautiful crystal and fossil finds placed lovingly and beautifully on them as permanently ? as possible. What excruciatingly beautiful show pieces they would be. Well, my vision of it/them is anyway. And you would be able to see them anytime/whenever you stepped outside or wherever you placed them. And they would never have to be kept hidden away in boxes or bags. They would be on permanent beautiful artistic display. Oh man Kyle, if you get that Trilobite professionally prepped, PLEASE, PLEASE share it when it is finished. Isn't it weird you can find so many crystals in one spot, then in another not a single crystal? GREAT video, love and hugs. Take care and be safe!

Can you start a prep of the trilobite with an acid prep? Mamlambo Fossils does that a lot when he doesn’t want to shatter anything off with his tools. Maybe a vinegar soak and check it every couple hours to see what happened.

Great road cut. What you said about the memories...That statement took me to my childhood, in a rockhounding family...that also dug bottles. Hope you are finding peace and good health, young man.

It is fascinating! It's basically like other geodes form. There ends up a void or hollow space within the Brachiopod once buried and over time groundwater percolates into the opening and the minerals create the calcite crystals!
