Discovering Patterns on the Bass‼️ LIVE🔴 

Right, having watched it now, here’s some more :) I started just like you described: playing along, fingers falling into patterns, mapping those patterns into other grooves. But I did not learn the notes and harmonies after that. So I got dissatisfied with the patterns since they always took me back to the same place… hearing you play those licks just now was great - so many feels I had not come across, and now I may pick up the bass again! Thank you! Oh, in the beginning your mic was dropping out a few times, but then it was stable - odd, but may have been a loose contact somewhere. No harm done, just thought I’d let you know in case there’s a bigger cabling issue around the corner! And as I wrote above - so nice to see you back at the bass. All the best!

Thanks for the clarification, but that’s not what I was referring to. The phrase of the exercise I was showing has 8 notes including the ones that repeat. I’m aware that (penta)tonic equals 🟰 5 So hopefully no one gets confused by that. Thanks again👌🏾
