Okay, backstory on I and why it's a very special song for her and for us sones (snsd fandom). 2015 was the year Taeyeon decided to debut as a soloist after 7years+ with Girls Generation. The year before that, 2014, was a really tough time for everyone, especially her. It was the year when a member of GG separated from the group. Many fans were confused and mad and many blamed her because she's the leader of the group. It was also the year when Dispatch outed her relationship with a member of EXO, Baekhyun. Again, fans hated her, especially the delusional ones, to the point that she had to apologise for dating (like.....) So, basically, aside from the pressure of performing well (as GG was the top girl group at the time) while being packed, she was also subjected to many forms of hate. Fans were worried for her ofc. Then her debut came. The mv and song are just. When I first heard it, I legit cried 😆 bec that woman has been through to so much. And if you'll notice in the mv, she started as this waitress who is constantly bullied by her boss (👀). But in the end, she let go of everything that's putting her down, and she finally found her "true" self-the one that is free from all the hate and pressure. It's a like a testament from her to herself and her fans that she'll heal from everything and find happiness. At least that's how I saw it 😆 and that's why her debut song is so special to me. ❤️

WHY is actually related to her other song from the same album called Starlight. WHY is theorically after her split with 'the boyfriend' in Starlight (or other theory is that he passed away) and the scenes where she crossed the list on the chalkboard/wall were their moments together but now she's doing them alone.

I already know Taeyeon's vocals and discography is top tier, but I love watching these Taeyeon discovery videos because I love hearing her insane talent and versatility and see people react to it. She is so precious. My fav artist for the past 14 years.

Taeyeon is very versatile and her music is diverse. To see the range of diversity, I highly recommend I GOT LOVE and SOMETHING NEW (among many others as well), I chose these 2 songs/MVs as opposed to what you have reacted to in this reaction video as it flips from the summer vibes/chill/acoustic/sweet fluffy to totally different sounds. You have NO IDEA, MrSammyCam....but you are going to LOVE finding out. Her own discography is perfect, and then there's her OST's, her performances with TaeTiSeo ( the most commercially successful and artistically awarded K-Pop sub-unit so far) , and of course with the legendary SNSD. She's called 'King Taeyeon' and "The Idols' Idol' because...well, she's THAT good ( by which I and everyone else means she's that GREAT). And she's even BETTER live!

During the filming of "Fine" MV, she had to go to hospital due to exhaustion. The producer put that REAL cut in to showcase her dedication and effort she made for this MV. Don't neglect her choreography skills. You should also watch the live stage version of these songs. They are somehow better than the MVs because she combine her dancing and singing together. She has over 130+ solo and collab songs so about 12-13 hours of continuous listening is possible, I should know. PS. Do you want to hear her singing in English? I on one hand is about meeting and accepting her old self when she had more freedom--this is very meaningful for Taeyeon since she had depression for how many years after 2014 or 2015, I am uncertain.
